Went to this shop around 7pm and tried to order their ongoing BOGO anniversary promo, however, the high school kid behind the counter told us that it is sold out. I don't understand the concept of "sold out" that he is referring to. If you are no longer honoring the anniversary BOGO promo, then maybe you should remove the poster, as your poster is bait and switch tactic. Better go to another shop next time as to avoid the embarrassment asking them about the BOGO. Vivi is able to stand out in Elmhurst, the motherland of bubble-tea shops, because of it's store front and decor. This shop has an awesome store front that is able to fully open for days of great weather and close during rain/ sleet/ snow. Vivi has the usual bubble tea mix and drinks, nothing extremely out of the ordinary. I like their Red Bean Matcha and Passion Fruit Teas. You can customize the amount of sugar and ice for your drinks to meet your taste. I tried their Takoyaki (Octopus) Balls and they were good to try at least once. Their Matcha Garden Waffles is a great food option and it comes with a topping of Green tea Ice Cream, Red Beans and several Green Tea Pocky Sticks. My recent discovery and favorite is their Green Tea Ice Cream. This is a great hangout spot for these hot summer days. read more

The super pink store that stands out from its surroundings, with cute skully logos which drew me in. We went in and it was super busy, the seating was pretty much all occupied. The area to the cash register was a little confusing. There were a lot of people standing by the counter and we thought they were waiting in line. It was also a little narrow as we were standing there ordering; it felt like we were semi hovering over those who were sitting in the booth seating nearby. The staff had limited English, but was friendly and very welcoming. Well I'm giving this review only for the items I have tried which was the galaxy slush and mango slush. The galaxy slush looks so pretty and an absolute insta worthy picture but IT TASTES TERRIBLE, worst thing I have ever tasted. Mango slush was okay but I have tried slushies and bubble teas at a lot of places so trust me it could've been a lot better. I was sad that they were sold out of Sakura bubble. I got the blue galaxy drink and it wasn't good as I thought it would be. To let you know, butterfly pea doesn't have flavor, so it tastes mostly like lime (or was it lemon) and ice. The ice was small chunks then regular one you get. Iced Milk Tea: Tastes like any other milk tea. Iced Lemon Yakult: I liked this a lot, but they only sold it in Large size which I couldn't finish. If not for the novelty, I'd say skip it and go to Fay Da. Vivi is not bad-- average-- but I feel like there is just something that's missing that puts it from average to great. So I went to this location today it was very nice I have to say. The decor and sofa seats its very usual I have to say they have a great deal now buy one get one free with pudding, tapoica, and grass jelly. It was supposed to be my day but Vivi ruined it. My friends and I came to ViVi today at 9.29 pm. Three of us wanted to order drinks but the young man kept saying "Sold out" We realized it nearly closed time, so we asked them if they're closing. He replied 'Yes' At the same time we walked out, there was a girl coming in to order the drink and she could get it. We were stunned. How come??? We were extremely upset. My friend went to the store again to ask how could that girl get the drink but we couldn't. He answered us that she ordered on the phone. So? Love the standard milk bubble tea. Every now and then they have the BOGO deal on 3Q milk tea, which is a good deal and delicious. It's not overly sweet, it is just right. I honestly am not good when asked what % of sweet I prefer as they differ from place to place, either end up too bland or too sweet. Their popcorn chicken is pretty amazing, which is a shocker. I can eat a whole bag myself. Customer service can use some improvement, maybe try smiling. read more

This Vivi's replaced the Tenrens that use to be here. Though, I am a faithful customer of Tenrens I do love Vivi's. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting and not to mention adorable! The bubble tea's are great too, I usually stick to their normal black milk tea but their moo milks with red beans are becoming a favorite of mine. This is your typical bubble tea cafe. The drinks are pretty much on par with other places I've been to. The 2 star rating is due to the fact that the table I was sitting at was super rickety. It felt like it was going to break apart any second. If a sit down food establishment cant even maintain their dining tables, that's a huge red flag for me. read more

This review is a little overdue since it's been a while since I first came to this Vivi's location, but nonetheless I wanted to say that I absolutely love this Vivi's. I'm in the Elmhurst area quite often and when I first passed by this shop on the outside, I was shocked by how princessy and pink this location was. It's different from all the other surrounding stores. I've been to Vivi's in other locations, most noteable one is the one in LES with the cotton candy, and unfortunately this Vivi's does not provide the same service. However, this Vivi does have some perks of their own! First, the comfy and spacious booth seating! They let you sit here and talk with your friends for hours without bothering you. It's a little inconvenient for them since this means less seating for the store overall, but great for you! Second, the drinks here are refreshing and the bubbles have always been fresh during the few times that I've tried it but the snacks here are definitely my favorite! The spicy crispy chicken at the nearby Quickly's have always been my favorite and my go-to but lately, they seem to either not serve it anymore or always run out and Vivi's has become my new alternative place to get crispy chicken! They also have a larger variety of flavors: curry, salt and pepper, basil, spicy, etc (5 flavours but I forgot what they all are) but my favorite one remains the spicy one. On the downside, you could be waiting around 5 minutes for your crispy chicken. On a side note, they also give student discounts (with valid student ID) for their drinks but the discount does not apply for the snacks. They also accept credit card with NO minimum. read more

Now, on the 3rd Day, the promotion is $1 Popcorn Chicken, I arrived around 3:50pm to order, the cashier says the kitchen will be opened at 4pm, I said: fine, I will wait. My favorite drink has to be the kumquat plum jelly. It has basil seeds, clear jelly, kumquat flavored tea, and an actual plum inside. Defiinitely ask for less sugar! Been coming to ViVi bubble tea a lot since Pho Best opened. It's probably one of the better bubble tea shops on Broadway in Elmhurst. Easily better than Quickly. It's comfortable in here, cute decor, and pretty clean. Some of the furniture could use some refurbishing. The wallpaper is a little dirty and stained too but as far as the tea goes, it's perfectly fine. Not as fancy as Tiger sugar and all these new tea shops opening up all over Flushing. The decoration of this store is super cute and classy, which was why it stood out to me as I was walking around elmhurst. Since I'm not a huge fan of bubble tea, I ordered the fruit tea aloe which was refreshing and it tastes like they added honey into the drink. I also ordered the popcorn chicken in the basil flavor which tastes similar to the ones from Quickly. I really like how this place has a wider variety of flavors.
