Vito's! Wow, this place is great. One man show, cash only, honor system, simple. The food is great and fast. He's even wonderful about substitutions, which I tend to omit things and very much appreciate this about him. Sometimes the line is long, sometimes you walk right in. Totally worth it no matter what. I just wish this place was a tad bigger to accommodate more tables, but either way, I'll be a customer for life! I live in SLC but drive to Bountiful for this gem. I will come back many times over when I'm craving a cheesesteak, which is often.

Was bumping around Bountiful around lunch time and had to take advantage of Vito's open hours and so we stopped by for lunch. Vito is a graduate of WX High so love supporting an old classmate from my graduating class. I usually get a Philly but decided to try the sausage sandwich and it was amazing. Greasy as you'd expect but very good. It's a sausage patty, not a link, grilled with onions and peppers. And packs a ton of flavor. 5/5 My wife ordered the classic Philly with just onions and loved it. I put a little jalapeño sauce on the bite she gave me and thought it was amazing. But I like a little kick. 5/5 Cash only, pay as you order on the honor system. Comes with a drink and chips. Great food. One man operation, only open for lunch.

I drove up from salt lake on a day off, and was very impressed with so many things about this business. The quality of my meal was fantastic and watching g someone make it in front of you really sets this apart. Fresh, flavorful, and great ratios, this really is a great place. I love that the costs are kept low by having people clean their own tables, the fact that it's a 1 man show, and that they are cash only and require you to handle the cash transaction. Fantastic sandwich, great experience, and the only thing slowing me down from visiting again are the limited hours.

Great food and line went fast. Highly recommend but could have used fly fans for sitting outside.

Oh wow, these Philly steak sandwiches are delicious. I think this has been the best I've ever tried. I was lucky when I arrived. I was 2nd in line, but the line got all the way out to the restaurant once I was getting my order. This place only takes cash; I wasn't prepared, but good thing they had an ATM. Great customer service; they're really friendly. The place's small, but there are also tables outside to enjoy the good weather.

Have been waiting to try their cheesesteak sandwich for awhile and was finally able to grab lunch. Was quite a line inside but it moved pretty quickly even when the cook was also the person taking your order. Ordered the mushroom cheesesteak. Mushrooms were added on top (I do wish it was adders tot eye steak, onions and peppers for a few seconds). Sandwich was huge but so flavorful. A bag of chips and drink are also factored into the price. Cash or check only. They do not accept credit or debit cards. As others have mentioned, it's "honor system" when you're paying and if you need to make change. If you have exact amount, you're much better off. Can't wait to come back and try another cheesesteak.

Vito's Cheesesteaks are pretty amazing and it was everything I hoped for. This quick service restaurant was very unique not only with their food, but their payment system as well. This is a cash only establishment and even if you are not prepare with cash, they have an ATM readily available. The payment system made me laugh a bit as there is no cash register and Vito operates as the cashier, chef, and owner amongst many other roles. When you go up to order, he is extremely nice and takes your order, then tells you the total. You drop $20, $50, $100, and checks in the cash "hole" and anything less goes into the glass dish. If any change needed, you grab it yourself out of the dish (including quarters!) and it's on the honor system to not take more than you should (he's also watching ;) ) The orders came out fast and fresh - so incredibly delicious!! We ordered the classic Philly and the Roasted Garlic Philly - both amazing. The bread is from Stoneground Bakery and the meat was seasoned really well. Each sandwich comes with a bag of chips and soft drink that you fill at the soda machine. The rest of the staff was very friendly and attentive to refilling chips, cups, napkins, etc.. There is also a sign that asks customers to buss their own table, which I didn't mind as they give you the sanitizing spray to wipe down the table. Would recommend over and over again! Can't wait to go back!

This is how you make a small operation successful. First, you serve delicious, well prepared food. They do! Next, be nice! The counter man takes your order with a smile here, and surprise, he is also the cook! And an excellent job he does in both roles. Don't worry, that doesn't mean you'll have wait long for your order to come up, because he doesn't have to deal with money/change making. Payment is on an honor system. You put cash in a slot & make your own change from an adjacent, open, small bill/change box. How cool is that?! Taking only cash and separating the credit card companies from their pound of flesh, having a small staff, and just doing lunch makes me think Vito's will be turning out mouth watering Philly cheesesteaks for a while. Disclaimer: I love pretty much any food, but I don't really care for philly cheesesteak sandwiches. My wife loves them and I'm sure she would give this place 5 stars. But this review is for you other people like me who just don't get the appeal. Normally, I'd pass on going to a cheesesteak place, but I noticed they had Reubens. I LOVE Reuben sandwiches. Unfortunately they were all out when we got there. So I got a meatball sub. The meatballs and sauce were good, but I was pretty disappointed otherwise. Bread was super thick and soggy and the meatballs were huge so it's kind of a fork and knife kind of sandwich. I should have got the 7" because that's about all I could fit in my belly. I feel like I just wasted money on the other half. The honor system for paying is great and all but if you're like me you feel compelled to tip where you probably wouldn't otherwise. read more

Vito's definitely has the best cheesesteak sandwiches in Bountiful, perhaps even all of Utah! Everything is made fresh right in front of your eyes -immediately after ordering. As others have mentioned, it is basically a one-man operation, with cash or check only for payment on the honor system. I feel this just adds to the charm of the place and it works quite well, as the line moves quickly. Just make sure to get there early, as when they run out of something - they are out for the day. My son and I were lucky enough to get the last two garlic phillies today, and they were very delicious! So, treat your tastebuds by getting some cash and heading on down to Vito's by 11 am for a very special treat! read more

This place is UN-believably delicious! Vito is very professional, but don't try and make small talk with him for very long as he is a busy, no-nonsense man and he'll tell you! But he's still very nice. I love that he's hired an employee who is special needs, and is very nice and helpful. The philly sandwiches are just incredible. My favorite by far is the Alfredo. The portion sizes are huge and the ingredients oh so fresh. They are only open Monday-Friday for lunch and close when the food is gone, so don't wait! And plan on a line, but it moves fast! You will not be sorry!!! read more

There is nothing wrong with this place, so de facto it gets 5 stars. I had the Penne Pasta with Meatballs served with garlic bread, it was yummy! Not the best pasta I have ever had in my life, but for an extremely filling meal that was delicious and only $8, that's darn good in my book. I was very impressed by this shop, one guy goes it all! And the honesty of paying and getting change shocked me, I guess I am not used to good, honest people! read more

Philly King of Bountiful indeed! I love the casual, clean atmosphere and sidewalk tables. Prices are reasonable. I ordered the Philly Bleu Cheese, which was terrific. Meat and veggies were juicy, grilled just right. My wife and kids ordered meatball sandwiches, which were also very good. He sold out of pasta before we arrived around 6:00pm They accept cash only, which is inconvenient but tolerable. We're definitely fans and will be back many times...with cash. read more

If you want a Philly cheese steak- like sandwich, I'd go here (again). Vito's is only open M-F 11am-2pm or earlier if the food runs out. Service was fast; my sandwich was made before I had picked out a drink. Prices were $7 to $15. I'll definitely be going again! read more

I love this locally owned & family oriented & operated, authentic Italian cuisine! It's sad he's only open for spacific times, so if you want a quick bite to eat that's smack dab old school on Main Street, in between 5th south & 4th north in bountiful then go to Vito's! Their pasta is to die for & his sandwiches are 1 of a kind! Can't beat anything about this place! Heard about Vito's, but it's a little out of the way for me. So on my day off (Mon), on my way to golf in N Ogden, I swung by Vito's for a cheesesteak. The one man show is what everyone says. Vito takes his business seriously, quickly preparing freshly made sandwiches, to order. Best Philly I've had since I moved here 15 years ago. Meat, onions, mushrooms peppers, just right on a very good roll. I had mine with spaghetti sauce as a treat. With a soda and and chips for a very reasonable price. Cash only, with his unique honor system, gives Vito's a character not found often these days. Long live the anti-franchise! read more

Love to try it, but I work 20 min away M-F. It's impossible to make the drive for lunch. Why can't the restaurant at least be open on Sat? Seems like the Vito is selling himself and his customers short by restricting his hours so much. read more

I have been coming here for years with my family and we have had many family functions and graduations catered from here as well. I recently just went in person for a takeout order and noticed that they changed their setup from a walk-up line to a sit down order style. I spoke with one of the owner's and her intentions of switching things up and she looks forward to the new change! A= Appearance - Utah is not well known for their BBQ but this place makes you feel like you're somewhere else. The smell of the BBQ sauce and meat are quite enticing. T= Taste - For as long as I've been coming here I have ordered one and only one thing and that is their famous Frito Pie! I love it! I think it is so creative and nothing like I have ever had before. One tip that I do when ordering it is to make sure to get the meat lean cut, but that is just a personal preference because I do not enjoy biting into fatty pieces of meat.

Like any other pizza place, this is mostly for pick up orders, but they have one larger table and one small one that you can eat at. The eating area is slightly out of the way so it's not awkward to sit there and eat.

DO NOT visit during lunch hour if you are really hungry because you will wait while Vito expertly hand crafts ever sandwich with his own talented hands from the finest freshest ingredients. We hate this place. The owner is very rude and they only accept cash. We came to eat at like 1:45 because we didn't realize what time they closed and the owner was very rude about us coming in and told us they were closing. I LOVE Vito's! They have very odd hours and often times are closed during dinner. The food is to DIE for! Get your cheese steak anyway you like it. Each meal comes with a side (chips) and a drink (canned or fountain). Highly recommended. Get there early or expect a wait. read more
