I ordered two "personal" pizzas for pickup from Arella Pizzeria and spent $30 -- and I'm still in disbelief. Each pizza was barely 5 inches in diameter, more like an overpriced appetizer than an actual meal. The crust tasted like a burnt tortilla, and the overall flavor was just as underwhelming. I can't believe they charge $15 for something this small and mediocre. To be fair, the staff was friendly and the ambiance of the place seemed really nice when I stopped in. But none of that makes up for how disappointing the food was. Great service can't save bad pizza. Definitely won't be returning.
Ordered 2 12" Small pizzas, we received 2 9" pizzas. Hopefully a they can figure this out and correct it. When we went to go get the food 4 people were standing by the brick oven and we sat in the front for 10 minutes before a lady came out of the back and greeted us. Hopefully they can fix this not acceptable for when it's not what you order
Went here. The pizza was dry. Wasnt the worst. Service was fine. But could be better. Ambiance was rizzy. That was about it. Pizza was very rubbery though. The chicken was dry. The italian soda was good. Would reccomend italian, kind of expensive though. Large pizza was VERY expensive, and thin. Charged too much for what it was. Workers missing enthusiasm. Felt sick after. Wont come back here, at least until I forget.
Interesting take on pizza at this place. Restaurant was pretty fancy inside with nice open space and decor. Server must have been new as he was confused on some of the menu items and had to go back and forth in the kitchen. Went with a couple appetizers and the Arella special pizza. No complaints on any of the food just the service was a bit lacking. Would love to go back and try their famous calzone's.
The salads and garlic bread are good. The ranch dressing is delicious. The pizzas are a disaster: the crust is too thin and the toppings are extremely skimpy (lots of bare spots) for the expensive price of the pizza. There are often burned spots, which taste terrible. There is a server there who gets my order wrong EVERY time. Then he says he doesn't know what happened. Really? He needs to use a notepad. I'm not returning.
Went here on a Friday night and were seated right away. Food was solid. A bit pricey, but it was fresh. Side salad was solid. Fettuccine Alfredo was good, and the pink pizza was also good.
I ordered lunch through DoorDash from here. I ordered a personal pink pizza and a fettuccine Alfredo. The pizza wasn't bad and pink sauce was good. The pasta was lack luster. It was overcooked pasta with a broken "alfredo" sauce. It was closer to a pasta carbonara than it was an alfredo. It had way too much bacon in it and it was just overpowering so you couldn't really taste the sauce. It was also a very runny watery sauce and didn't stick to pasta. All in all I would only get the pizza if I returned here.
Context: Gluten Free/No wheat - allergy My birthday lunch. Walking in to the restaurant we were greeted early and sat immediately. It was 1 pm. The vibe is warm and inviting. Love the decor. Very few customers. We asked for water. It tasted like latex and was upsetting to my stomach. We ordered the Caprese salad for appetizer. It was good. Although it was made with grape tomatoes. Served with balsamic vinegar rather than a reduction. Very little basil. We ordered the gluten free combination pizza. It was cold, peppers undercooked or uncooked completely, The pizza was also cold and soggy. I've had better frozen pizza that I would rate much higher. No clean plates in sight. The photo of the table was not bussed when we arrived and I took this photo before we left. Confessions made: Server brought me a spring water. Thank God! Did not charge me for it. My partner had a $3.50 Huckleberry soda. I sneezed repeatedly. Cross contamination? Maybe. We set for quite a time and considered walking out in order to get our check. Waitress asked how our meal was and had to call manager to get approval for what to do. I really wanted this place to be a go to option for me. It isn't. Beyond disappointing. They comped the pizza at 50%. Check with tip $32.00 This place has potential and the food beyond disappointing.
11.89 for this I'd been craving a Hawaiian pizza but I wasn't sure where to go. I hadn't been to Arella in a while so I thought why not?! It's just me tonight so I figured a small would hit the spot. I was so excited! That was until I saw the size of the pizza. This was definitely not going to fill me up, and I'm tiny. I'm really glad I picked up some extra food on my way home even though I shouldn't have had the need to for $11.89 I'm kicking myself for not going for chipotle instead. The size of the small pizza is sad. A Costco slice is pretty much bigger than what I got. Sadly, I won't be going back. I can't support a business that overcharges for a meal that won't fill you up. Small would probably fill up a toddler but I'd upgrade in pizza size if you're a grown adult.
Spaghetti & meatballs were great, as well as the giant side salad. Pizza was delicious as well. Elegant seating and kid friendly menus. Great service!
Arella pizza was a nice choice for a recent family dinner for 3 of us. We split a tasty pear and pecan salad, and together ordered a large Quatro Carne pizza. It was big, and had lots of meat. I can't say this is authentic Italian tasting wood oven style pizza, the flavors of the toppings just don't quite hit it. But, the crust was nice and defiantly had that wood oven taste. On a highly positive note, they do serve beer and wine. Also, the interior is a nicely decorated and it is a well kept place and we had a very friendly server. The price point was a bit higher than typical for pizza restaurant, probably due to the money they put into building a nice dining venue. But, for a special occasion where piazza is called for, it is pretty decent. And the cost for a bottle of wine was fairly reasonable. And in Bountiful, it's so hard to find a place that actually would dare to serve alcohol with a meal. Thanks for taking the risk Arella. I'll support you for that alone.
I gave 5 stars because I know how much it hurts a business to get less but I do have something to share. My food was ready on time and the ravioli is just what I was craving. It's delicious! I ordered a side ceasar salad too and was surprised my total was $25.42 for these two items. Online it says the side ceasar is $3.99 and the ravioli $16.49. After I talked to the Togo order she informed me "he raised the prices". This measly salad was $7.00! I haven't eaten it yet so I can't give feedback on taste but the looks of it are not enticing me to. The lettuce is turning brown and I would've expected shaved pieces of Parmesan rather than grated for the price. I hope the price for the salad was a mistake but I don't think so since I specifically asked about the price of the items.
It's just okay- everything about this place was mediocre (but not bad!), which puts it in good company in the South Davis County food scene. We were seated quickly on a weeknight, as it was pretty empty. Thankfully I'd read the reviews first and knew not to get a "personal" pizza- "small" is a more reasonable size for most people. It's thin-crust, wood-fired pizza, but nothing about the toppings, sauce, or crust stands out- it's just okay! And for the price and oddly formal-feeling atmosphere, I'd expect at least one standout ingredient- but no. Our group also ordered garlic bread, which was definitely worse than something you'd make at home- very light on the garlic, and needed seasonings. read more
We went to Arella Pizzeria with a group of friends (8) on a Friday night. We had reservations and they sat us promptly. The restaurant is clean, bright and very inviting. Appetizers for the table. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was okay. 2/5 Mozzarella Sticks that were good. 4/5 My wife and I ordered a medium pizza half and half. Half White, Alfredo sauce, Canadian bacon, caramelized onions, pine nuts, artichoke hearts and basil. It was really pretty good 3.5/5 Half Arella, caramelized pears, Brie, Gorgonzola, candied pecans, and arugula tossed in blue cheese dressing. 3/5 Side Caesar salad. 4/5 Surprisingly they both lacked a little flavor, with all those great toppings I was surprised. But the worst of the night was our server. I didn't catch her name. She was very quiet and refused to walk around the table to speak with us directly, or to serve our food. Instead she would ask the couple next to us to pass it along. There wasn't much room on that side of the table but the other side provided decent access to us. One couple didn't receive their salad, the appetizers came after the entrees were served. And the worst part of it all, I was doing the math in my head after we left and we were over charged around $10. What happened was the waitress included the gratuity, because we were a table of 8. But didn't tell us!!! She just handed us the POS machine, by passing it down the line, which automatically asks for a tip. It didn't show an itemized receipt or anything. Even though the service was really bad I included a 20% tip. Only to find out the tip had already been included, 40% tip for bad service! I felt it was disingenuous to include a tip without telling us and then passing us a POS machine that asks for a tip. It felt dishonest and like we had been duped or robbed and I won't be coming back. Others in our party felt the same way too. I tried calling the manager twice but they weren't in or available. read more

I've been here a few times, and I always get the Margherita pizza because it's so good! There just aren't many places in Davis County with Margherita. The main thing to try though is the mozzarella sticks! The breading is so good, and the house ranch is outstanding! The atmosphere is classy, I've never had a problem with the service--but I will say I've never experienced anything remarkable about it either. read more

Just your average pizza place. The kids meals are not good! But the bruschetta app was pretty decent. And the five cheese ravioli was pretty good also. The pink sauce is delicious. But nothing l'd rave about for days after. But it's a good restaurant nonetheless. Not sure I'd come back very often but I'd say it's the place to come if your looking for pizza in the bountiful area. read more

The space is nice and open and I really like the tall and spacious booths. Really modern decor and lighting but still comfortable atmosphere. Love that they make the pizzas right in the center area so you can see everything. Ordered the Arella Soda (raspberry and vanilla Italian cream soda). Such a cute presentation in the stemless wine glass instead of the typical pint glass. It was delicious and refreshing. Best I've had in a while. We split the pecan and pear salad to start then I ordered the white pizza no bacon and fiance ordered the special which was the sweet heat pie. The salad was the perfect start to the meal and the poppyseed dressing was a great sweet compliment to the bitter salad greens. Fiance said he couldn't decide between wings and pizza and the special was the perfect way to get the best of both. He liked the combo of bbq and buffalo sauce on the pizza. My pie could have been a little hotter as it came out a bit on the luke warm side . I liked the different ingredients on the pie as they added individual flavors that combined together well. I've never had a white pizza with so many ingredients so it was a nice change. Crust was nice and thin but all the juice from the artichoke hearts made it a bit soggy. Service was great and food was delicious just not the BEST I've ever had. Nevertheless I'm glad we finally ventured over to check it out and we will definitely come back again. read more

This is the second time in a row that my wife and I have ordered pizza here and have gotten home to realize it's not what we asked for. I ordered a large margarita pizza with fresh mushrooms added and all they seemed to get right was the mushrooms. Not to mention part of the crust is burnt. I'm really disappointed because we've came here before and the pizza has been really good, but to have our order come out wrong twice and then burnt....we won't be ordering from this place again. read more

Nope. The other reviews made it seem like it was gonna be good. And It. Was. Not. $12 for iceberg lettuce. $10 for the tiniest soggy pizza, asked for artichoke hearts and you can see in the photo there are two green slivers. $60 for 2 iceberg "salad" and the tiny pizza and small pizza. read more

If your day spa had a pizzeria attached, it would be Arella's. If style over substance is your thing, you'll feel right at home here. The food is good, but the portions are small and pricey. For my money, I'd rather go to The Pie and leave full. I won't be back. read more
