Absolutely amazing customer service idk if he's the owner or what but the guy at the front taking orders and helping run the kitchen and get food out is awesome. I had an 8" sausage and olive pizza. Nothing fancy, but it tasted great. It was one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust, sauce, and toppings were all fresh and flavorful. (Some sauces at other companies are bitter or just nasty, but I loved the sauce here.) My granddaughter enjoyed her salad, too. Everything was top quality and the people are very nice. I would love to try several more menu items. They played music that I love (classic rock) but kept it down to a sane level so we could actually have conversations. read more

Ate there this last weekend. We just moved to the area and were looking for a great pizza place that isn't just your typical fast food pizza. Ordered takeout and got three large pizzas. One basic cheese, one ham and pineapple and the other thier meat special. I was hoping for amazing but was under whelmed. Carry out was very fast and the pizzas were pippin hot but werr really nothing more then your basic dough and cheese. There was hardly any sauce and what you could taste was juat basic. My daughter-in-law grew up on this pizza, so I treated for family dinner during my visit. We came and ate on-site. The place is comfortable and has a very busy take-out business. I've been to this Z Brothers a dozen times since it's convenient and we live a mile away. Unfortunately, my experience here seems to continue downhill. The ambiance of the place could use a good cleaning, maybe a little Reno work so it's more inviting. Service is good and everyone is friendly, I do wish everyone wore gloves when making pizzas or touching food. I've never seen that happen. I picked up a large pepperoni with extra cheese here the other day, and the pizza was undercooked, this is the second time that's happened. The crust was crispy on the underside, but below the marinara was a squishy layer of uncooked dough. Which is the opposite of what I got last time I ate here, overcooked and burnt. I'm not a complainer, and maybe I should have called and talked with a manager. My biggest constructive criticism is the lack of consistency. This location is tucked away in the bountiful housing neighborhood, I imagine they get a lot of business because it's convenient. I'm pretty forgiving, this kind of food product is a waste. We were very excited to try this pizza place. When we walked in and realized it was only counter service we still decided to try and give it a go. It's a bit frustrating that you place your order at the counter and they're like hey don't forget to leave a tip. No I'm not leaving a tip for waiting on myself. So then we get drinks and go to the soda fountain. The soda fountain was significantly off that when I pointed it out the lady told me "just keep running it". Ummmm okay. The food came out. The pizza is dry and a powdery crust. No one asked us if the food was acceptable. The wings are clearly refrozen and nothing more than what you would get at a cafeteria. That's fine. Just get a few bites and and leave. 30 minutes later..... it was a rush to the bathroom if you know what I mean. Most of all/ the employees could care less. This place wont survive. read more

I ordered some food (delivery) from this shop last night and I was so DISAPPOINTED with what occurred, that I had to sleep on it so I wasn't being too rational or unfair. Now that I've collected my thoughts, I am ready to respond. I will start with the ETHICS BREACH (deception) first and then highlight a few positive things for you risk takers. Let's set the context,... I am a single guy and I do not share spicy foods with my dog. This is the first time that I am ordering from this shop, and I made that cheerfully clear to the person I was speaking to. Please refer to my attached $71.26 receipt for this order for one. I initially ordered a meat pizza (large) which I knew would cost between $15-$23, and I also asked if I could have 12-buffalo wings, which would cost about (in my mind) about $11-$15 give or take,... I appreciate the employee (manager I presume) asking me if I wanted boneless or bone-in,... which I decided to go with boneless (with ranch). I was informed by the individual that it was based on ounces versus count and trusted his judgement and discernment that he was being honest and fair. He then asked me which size I wanted (giving me three options- without prices), and I chose large because in my mind he and I were on the same page in terms of he knowing what I wanted (12 wings) and that this was not some crazy Super Bowl party order. He did not tell me the total when he took my credit card information, but he quickly said how much it would cost and how long it would be right before hanging up- and before I could say anything I laughed because I thought he misspoke... ("Seventy dollars? No way, he had to of said $27 or $37"). Lo and behold, the substance in my gut spoke true and my ears did not lie... this company sent me a +$71.26 bill for a large pizza and giant box of boneless buffalo wings. This is pure organizational DECEPTION. Even the delivery person upon seeing my reaction was not surprised about the confusion with what a large order meant. I am keeping the receipt, I have written down the exact conversation and going to think a little bit more about this one. This is a real problem. Z Brothers Pizza in centerville is good, it is a bit pricey and the bread sticks and salads are pretty basic, but I really like their pizza. The staff is friendly enough, although maybe a bit too cool at times. It's kind of an older building, but it's well maintained and kept clean, there are newer Z Brothers Pizza in newer, more modern buildings, and i still prefer to go the centerville one. Zeponie is the poster child for neighborhood pizza joints. It's got an unassuming location--close to to the suburban roofs and not in the middle of a shopping mecca, funky decor, dedicated employees and a loyal clientele. Add in their own hot wing food challenge and you've got the perfect recipe for neighborhood pizza charm. I was recently in Centerville to see some friend and pulled up the Yelp app to look for a place to eat. When I suggested Zeponie they seemed bit skeptical. They live within walking distance but hadn't ever considered it for a meal. Putting faith in my fellow yelpers, we loaded up the car and drove the point-zero-something miles to Zeponie. It was cold outside, and they have a toddler. Walking wasn't an option. After walking in and being greeted by the nice teen behind the counter we looked over a menu and saw a simple selection of pizzas with a few interesting additions. They've also got appetizers (eggrolls? really?), calzones, breadsticks, wings, and a brownie bite dessert. I built my own (a better deal than ordering one of their specialty pizzas, in my case) and sat down to wait for the pizza. I have to mention the decor. Above the chair rail, all the way up the the ceiling and all the way around the place is plastered with old vinyl jackets. They're not organized perfectly, but there are clouds of related content hovering together--comedians near the entrance, Beatles in a frame, old rock on the near wall. No explanation is given. No cheesy menu tie-ins (order "The Record" and take it for a spin!). Just record jackets. The pizza came out and I was pleased. They're not reinventing the pizza here, but they're not claiming to do that, either. They do take pride in their pies which are normal crust, cheesy, above average pizzas. No complaints. We tried four pizzas: a veggie concoction, a simple cheese, a sausage and olive, and the BBQ chicken. I'd recommend any of them. I'm a sucker for food challenges, but the one kind that I won't even attempt are the "so hot you'll squat fire for a week" kind. No thanks. Spiceaholics take not: they have a "Hellwing Challenge" here where the poor challenger must eat 10 covered in Satan's pit-sweat, in five minutes. Win and you get a t-shirt and your photo on the board. Lose and you get added to the loser tally, currently at 24. I was totally pleased with my experience. The service I received tonight was pretty awful. I called in a take out order asking for a large Little Z pizza with only half of it to have mushroom and a personal buffalo chicken. I was told 25 minutes for pick up which was pretty spot on. Took my pizzas home to find out that my large pizza had mushroom on both side instead of just half like it was ordered and the buffalo chicken pizza had no cheese on it whatsoever. I contact the pizzeria and asked if I could get them remade due to the error with the pizzas but with one new variation, no mushrooms at all on the large pizza. I was told 15 minutes which I may have taken 20 but I'm fine with that, I get to the pizzeria right as they are closing and head inside to get them. I was told just a moment as my large little z finished in the oven and when they pull it out I hear one of the employees mention that the pizza was not supposed to have mushrooms on it and another one the employees says that it's fine. So when I am given my second round of the pizzas I check them before leaving. The buffalo chicken was made properly but there were mushroom on the large which I had asked them not to put any mushrooms on. When I bring it up to them I'm told that it was a mistake but that I'm going to have to deal with the error that they made. No offer for a new pizza to be remade or when I asked for my money back I was told it was not an option, it was either take the pizza or he would give me credit. As I told the employee that I wanted my money back due to the fact that my first order was completely messed up and they still didn't get the second attempt at my order correct, I was then told that they could give me a refund for the mushrooms, because I didn't want them and that they would pick the mushroom out of my pizza by hand. I asked them who was the employee who took my second call and he verified with him that I did state that I wanted my large pizza without mushrooms, which he stated that was correct, but he nor anyone actually paid attention to the second attempt at making this pizza. Now, doesn't that sound lovely, having some one pick thru your food? I informed them that it was not an option and that I wanted my money back. He then proceeded to tell me could try to contact the owner but didn't think I would get me money back. One of the other employees at this time then tried to tell me that they were short staffed and tired, due to this there was multiple errors on my pizzas and I should be understanding. I understand a place being short staffed and things taking longer to get done. I'm fine to wait and extra 15 - 20 minutes for my food if a place is short staffed but trying to use that as an excuse for laziness and messing up three times on someones order it's not something to blame on being short staffed. These behaviors are to be blamed on laziness and bad customer service. Thankfully the owner understood what the issue was and informed them to refund my order. But there is an obvious need for customer service training within this store, training on taking and following thru with food orders the first time. read more

Um...yum! After years and years of ignoring this dive-y little pizza joint, I asked the family if they wanted to try something new. Pizza was on my radar, big time. We walked in and were greeted by a very nice young man behind the counter. Another step in the door and we were blown away by the laser disc covers adorning every square inch of the walls. Okay, weird and outdated, but made for nearly an hour of entertainment while we ate. Oh yes, we ate! We kept it simple. Cheese pizza, one Philly cheesesteak sandwich and just as we were ordering a half order of bread sticks a passing customer hollered, "Get the whole order, you'll regret it later if you don't!" He couldn't have been more right! Buttery, garlicky goodness perfect with dipping sauce (ranch or marinara, we opted for both at an extra cost.) The pizza was simple, the crust was delicious, the sauce had perfect spice and topped with a little crushed red pepper flake it made for a very good slice. Hubby scarfed down the sandwich before I even had a chance to ask what he thought. Everything was thoroughly satisfying, the service was great and the leftover pizza reheated beautifully the next day. I love to support little locally owned places like Zeponie. Once upon a time, Zeponie's was my favorite place for pizza in the valley. Recently it's turned into a place that is just a spot above mediocre. The aesthetics of the place are pretty awesome. This little unassuming place tucked into the suburbs with a ton of old laser disk covers on the walls and old bench style booths. The staff there have always been younger, high school aged kids with one older manager. The service has never been great, but the pizza would make up for it. The last three times that I've been, the pizza is just bland and not that great. The dough and the sauce used to be boss, but now it just tastes canned and boring. The bread sticks are swimming in butter and don't taste like anything but oil anymore. I'm really sad that it is seemingly not anything special anymore, but I will give it another shot just in hopes that it is. read more

If you've written a bad review for this place, or decided you don't like it: go get their calzone. If you still don't like it you are obviously crazy. Is it the best gourmet certified Italian style pizza in the world? No.. It doesn't need to be. It's fresh, delicious, hand tossed pizza made by a couple of local dudes, all they do is make pizza. They don't have cheese in the crust, they don't make square pizza or any other gimmicky thing that the major chains are doing. They make good honest pizza. I am sure this is what Domino's tasted like 30 years ago. You pay a tiny bit more because it's not a frozen big box pizza, deal with it, It will make you feel better to support the little guy. Went for lunch, got the one slice and four bread sticks with a drink, a lot of food for about six bucks. The pizza was OK if you like cold pizza. I got the BBQ chicken which came with chicken and pineapple and BBQ sauce. Bread sticks were warmed a bit and had too much butter on them. The problem with the lunch slice option is they have no way to have all the pizzas available and no way to keep the pizza hot (or warm). Not sure how their hot fresh pizza is but the lunch option certainly did not provide me with the "Best Pizza in Utah" that was boldly advertised in huge letters on the front of the building. Based on what I got they wouldn't rank in the top 20 pizzas in Utah. If you are looking for a mediocre quick pizza lunch at a reasonable price this could work for you. read more

I personally would not pay for this pizza. It's good, but I would rather spend my money on Dominos and get more pizza for way less money. I love a good philly cheese steak pizza, so I went with an 8" philly cheese steak and half order of bread sticks. It was a good pizza. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I just got a cheese or pepperoni. The cheese and crust was great. The center of the pizza crust was soggy, but dry on the edges. I got one of their speciality pies (the chicken Alfredo). The chicken was dry and tasteless and the Alfredo lacked any flavor total blah. The sausage pizza tasted exactly like little Caesars, dog food looking sausage and all. Atmosphere was kind of fun, my kids liked it, but they are trash compactors and will gladly stick sand or dirt in their mouth and chew that up as well. The staff stood around behind the counter talking about suing one of their customers for a bum check, kind of off putting. We tried this place because of the high Yelp rating and it didn't disappoint. The Cheesesteak Pizza was loaded with cheese, and everything was fresh, including the dough which was soft and cooked to a perfect golden brown. The Caesar salad was crisp, the hot wings were a bit larger than average and drowning in sauce, and the mozzarella sticks were piping hot and stuffed. The best part? Discovering they offer free delivery, meaning they will now be our preferred at-home pizzeria. Check out their website for a $3 coupon. Their pizza is not bad but the service was junk. They had some dudes in back arguing about work duties and it was weird because other than their voices the place was quiet. They had s young server boy that I asked for wings and he came back with "we're out of wings and all fried food". I was speaking with a friend and he had the best way to describe Zeponie. He said that "it was his fourth favorite pizza place to eat at in South Davis County." He had Papa John's and Domino's ranked higher. I agree with him. I go to Zeponie for their garlic butter (which is also on Calzones) bread sticks and their calzones. While neither is mind blowing, both are better than anywhere local. The problem I have is with their pizza. It's not terrible, but other places just make better tasting pies. If you want a really good pizza and don't mind a drive, go to The Pie in SLC. The sit down Pie and not the take out location (it's not as good or consistent). However, if you want somewhere close for a pizza, call Papa John's or Domino's in Centerville (not Woods Cross). Or better yet, hit up Harmon's in Farmington and buy some pizza dough ($2.50).
