I have to preface my review by saying I'm a pizza connoisseur and worked for years as a pizza restaurant manager, so I think I'm a good judge of everything pizza. With that said here's how I size the restaurant up. The recommendation to order from this place came from the front desk person at the hotel where I am staying. I specifically asked for a local place rather than Dominoes etc. The person who took my order was fantastic at customer service. She was patient and thorough, and thoughtful in offering a package of paper plates and napkins since she knew I was staying in a hotel. The pizza arrived timely and was hot and fresh when delivered to my room. I ordered a Little Z (if my memory serves correctly) which is one of the versions of a combination. It has Pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushrooms. All of the toppings were fresh and juicy. I also added extra sauce and cheese (always my preference regardless of the pizza) and I was satisfied with the fact that there was plenty of cheese. I was happy that I ordered extra sauce, because I fear that if I had not, it may have been a little dry. This would have been my only complaint if I hadn't ordered extra. Their crust is crispy, yet light with a good flavor. The sauce was good, but nothing spectacular, but all in all the pizza was better than average. I must admit, we went by for pizza because we were in the area and yelped to find a great local pizza place. There was a great vintage car in the parking lot and it looked busy, so we were hopeful. Not sure why a vintage car would give us hope...but it did. Our hopes were dashed. So disappointed. NOT amazing and NOT great. This little place is AMAZING! Although most of their business is delivery, there is a small seating area....and I recently found out that their pizza is really good delivered, but it is INCREDIBLE straight from the oven! I highly suggest you dine in! (And you can choose a few tunes on the jukebox and play some pinball while you're waiting for your pizza!) The pizza at Zeponie is the BEST! They use all very fresh ingredients and are extremely generous with the cheese! YUMMY! Their calzones are HUGE (enough for two!) and all their prices are more than reasonable (a calzone, which includes your choice of 3 ingredients, is just a little over $7.00!!! SO worth it!). They also have fresh breadsticks, salads, spaghetti, wings, poppers and even some great desserts! Love this place! Just moved to Utah and I'm pretty picky about my zaa but this place meets all of my demands.

I've usually really enjoyed Zaponie's in the past. Saturday night ( 4/20/18 ) was unusually busy however. We ordered salad, drinks, fried mozzarella sticks and 1 extra large pizza. Salad and drinks were out in a timely manner. However, had to ask for our cheese sticks after 30 min. 60 min after getting there, another waiter asked if we were waiting for our check. I finally blew up and said " We haven't even received our freakin pizza!!!!!" Our waiter never showed his face. The manager finally brought out the pizza 15 min later and didn't charge us. I asked if they would pay me for the time we wasted. If I hadn't seen the service much much better, I wouldn't be so upset. But I doubt I will ever return. read more

Pizza delivered, about ten minutes later than estimated. Pizza was very good. We really like the crust and the sauce is a little sweet. I liked it, but my husband thought it was a tad too sweet. Very good pizza. The crust is fresh and the toppings taste like an actual pizzeria, as opposed to many of the big pizza chains. I like the fact that they actually put CHEESE on the pizza. A decent amount of good, stretchy cheese. There are a few signs in the place proclaiming it the best pizza in Utah. Period. I still think "The Pie" is better, and a couple others are easily just as good, but again, very good Pizza. This is really minor, and probably is a product of my being used to buying cheap crappy pizza, but it does seem a little expensive. Hmmm...I'll have to ponder that a bit more. We ordered two large (14") specialty pizzas for carryout, and with tax it came to a little more than $32. When they finally left, I saw a young busboy stand before the destruction they'd left behind with a look on his face I can only describe as "shell shock." I mean, did you see "Saving Private Ryan?" Moved to Davis county and tried to find a go-to pizza place. This one had decent reviews. Can't for the life of me figure out how. Went with my family. Ordered some breadsticks (with dipping sauces) and two pizzas (one was the bbq chicken). Well the breadsticks were barely palatable. Barely any flavor with a load of butter at the bottom of the tray. The marinara dipping sauce was bland and COLD...gross. The pizza was okay. Not great. Although I did like the texture of the crust, the flavor was mediocre. And it wasn't cheap either. $19 for a large mediocre pizza. At the end of the meal, both the wife and I agreed that we have no desire to return. Maybe other items on the menu are better. My wife and I were looking for some pizza place for New Years Eve, we were about to go with the normal Papa Johns, but then I stumbled upon this little gem on Yelp. Went to there website online and checked out the specialties and then drove 5 minutes to Zeponies. When I got there it was a 35 minute wait on recieving the pizza, but I was willing to be patient from the previous Yelp reviews. We got half 4 cheese, and other half meatza, it was a large and it was delicious. The sauce was amazing, and the crust was perfect along with the toppings.
