    Litza's pepperoni and pineapple pie
    John M.

Litza's has been around forever, and I recall frequenting the downtown SLC location throughout my college years and, admittedly, I'd have to say that the downtown location remains the preferred Litza's choice. However, after living near the Taylorsville location for ten years, and leaving disappointed time and again, I was so very hopeful that the Ft. Union joint would be more like Downtown and less T'ville--in fact, that's exactly how this visit played out. On this visit, the restaurant was in the waning stages of a dining room remodel, so perhaps on our next trip there will be slightly less confusion at the checkout counter. But the kitchen was up and running, and the food was far better than the T'ville store's offerings. I went with a classic Litza's pizza, and it was reminiscent of the Downtown location's quality. If I could, I'd give Ft. Union 3.5 stars, but they just aren't quite a 4-star joint. The service was not great, even though the restaurant was not very busy. Also, our server brought our five meals out in different shifts, so by the time I got my pizza, the first diner in our group had finished their meal--I hate it when places so badly misjudge the timing on the completion of the meals. Nonetheless, the pizza is pretty good, so I would not hesitate to go back if the opportunity arises. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

Holy cow! This pizza was AMAZING! It tasted super fresh; it was perfectly cooked and even the crust was delicious. Our oldest (and pickiest eater) got the chicken strips and fries and he couldn't stop talking about how amazing they were. I highly recommend Litzas Pizza.

My family stayed down the street at the HGI in Sandy for 5 nights for my son's soccer tournament and we visited Slackwater 3 times. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp! Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.

Once we walked inside we were hit with loud live music. It's usually not a problem but let me re-emphasize LOUD. Even after placing our order and finding a spot away from the covered patio where the performer was playing, we couldn't hear each other talking at normal volume. It also didn't help they guy only played Coldplay and Radiohead songs. The interior had a lot of flair on the walls and was fun to look at. We sat near a 'Pi' wall where they had tons of stickers about Pi. They had plenty of seating even for large parties. The employee taking our order at the counter was very friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for the first time and asked some questions. We ended up ordering some bread and pizza. I was excited to have linguica as a topping as it's been a long time since I've seen it at a place. Unfortunately, it wasn't spiced as I've been accustomed to and it tasted mostly like uncooked pork. We also thought they screwed up our order as we got a green pepper, linguica and pepperoni pizza...with the pepperonis nowhere to be found. We then discovered the pepperonis were UNDER the cheese while the other two toppings were on top of the cheese. Pepperoni is 10x better when the perimeter gets a little crispy and the pepperoni cups up...instead it was flat soggy pepperoni under the cheese. None of us particularly liked the pizza that much and we had to make an impromptu decision to make up for the disappointment next door at the ice cream parlor.

Also, bottled water is free. They also have lots of Jarritos flavors. The menu is interesting even if you're like me and don't get the Pulp Fiction references. The crust is solidly above average, the toppings are high-quality, and I loved the hot honey. Better Call Saul was playing, there's an arcade game, and lots of stuff to look at on the walls. It's tiny (just a few tables) and appears to do a lot of takeout, and the parking is a little unclear- we parked at the restaurant next door. Would definitely return!

I love pizza, so I searched on line and this place came up with excellent reviews so let's give it a try. We ordered a small pepperoni and a large Jimmie. We did half with chicken. The pepperoni I was told was good. The Jimmie was good as well, light how ever too many jalapeños. It's small inside and has a lot going on. Drinks you can only get them in an old skool bottle because they do not service fountain drinks. The pizza came out in about 10 minutes, it was good I was surprised. The customer service was just that. The person was not rude or friendly, it was just nah. However, the pizza was good, nothing to brag about.

I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
