I haven't been to Robintino's for quite a while , and when I pulled into the parking lot and it wasn't for a people on a Saturday it seems strange. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. The food was not as good as it used to be. I ordered the Cenetta with lasagna as I always do. The pizza had hardly any sauce so it wasn't very flavorful. The lasagna had two pieces of pasta for the layers and was slopped in the container that was too large for the " lasagna". The piece of lasagna could've fit in a 4 x 4 container. It was a very disappointing experience at Robintinos not looking forward to going back now I know why the parking lot was not full and the restaurant was not crowded at all. Food was weak. It felt like the meal was hanging on the fact that they gave us free ranch for dipping our bread into. We arrived at 6 for dinner. By the time the food arrived they were out of baked potatoes, and Ravioli with meat. The side of pasta I ordered came to the table without being drained properly. I had over a 1/3 of a cup of pasta water soaking my pasta. My chicken parm was grilled with a ring of black cheese around it. Not the experience we had years ago with previous owners. Service was not good. Our waitress could not remember who ordered what and our orders for the eight of us were all over the place. When I spoke with the manager and explained it wasn't like it was in past he failed to offer a reply or address my concerns. The ambiance was non existent. As you drive by or walk-in the front door all you see are 4 and 5 foot weeds that left me asking if the damn place was even open. The south side sidewalk had a damaged chair sitting in the middle. So, so disappointed... Robintino's has always been great in the past. We called in advance to reserve the space for 35 ahead of time so they were aware we were coming at 6:30pm. There was only 2 servers on duty and only one for our party. It was total chaos.. I felt bad for the server, she was totally overwhelmed but that did not negate the poor quality of food and the timing it finally arrived.. We were there for 2 hours before the final 3 in our party had received their food.. Many dishes that were served were cold and some ended up with something they didn't even order. They automatically charge a fee of 15% for parties of 8 or more so that was almost $80 plus the automatic 20% tip that is added.. Not worth even half of what we paid. Robintino's - The Most Disappointing Return Our recent visit to Robintino's was, unfortunately, a major disappointment. My wife and I, along with three other couples of our close friends, chose the restaurant for dinner based on positive past experiences. Given that Robintino's has been around for a long time, and several of us had positive memories of the food from years ago, we decided to go for an Italian meal, not having eaten there in quite some time. However, it's clear the establishment has changed significantly while under new management, and not for the better! From the moment we were seated, the service was unprofessional. Our server, a young woman, appeared somewhat overwhelmed, incapable and unprepared. Despite the restaurant not being especially noisy, she attempted to take our orders from one end of the table and repeatedly said she couldn't hear and kept asking us to repeat our orders. I had to ask her to move closer to guests to hear them clearly--something that should be standard practice. When the food began arriving, the issues piled up quickly: Of the eight people in our group, every single one of us had an issue with our meal: 1. Me (Breaded Chicken Parmesan with side of meat ravioli) - The chicken was dry and topped with an unmelted deli slice of cheese. The side of "meat" ravioli turned out to be cheese ravioli, despite being told I had received the last of the meat variety. 2. My Wife (Italian Spaghetti) - She described it as just "okay," though she noted the sauce was very watery, as if the pasta was not drained. It was so thin it resembled broth rather than a hearty marinara. 3. Friend #1 (Meat Ravioli) - Was served cheese ravioli without any prior notice. Only after asking did the server mention they were out of meat ravioli and had substituted it without permission or discussion. 4. Friend #2 (Breaded Chicken Parmesan with Side Baked Potato) - Never received the baked potato. When she asked, the server casually said they were out--again, no communication or offer of a substitute. The chicken parmesan also was dry and only ate a couple bites. 5. Friend #3 (Personal Pizza) - The pizza was doughy, undercooked, and lacked any real flavor. It clearly needed more time in the oven and better seasoning. 6. Friend #4 (Breaded Chicken Parmesan - with side of pasta) - Received grilled chicken with no breading instead of the ordered breaded version. On top of that, his side pasta dish was never brought out, even after mentioning "Where is my pasta?". 7. Friend #5 (Steak) - The steak was cooked far beyond what was expected, to the point of being dry, tough, and chewy. It also lacked seasoning and was described as extremely bland. 8. Friend #6 (Chicken Fettuccine) - The dish arrived without any chicken-none at all. When this was mentioned to the server, she looked confused and didn't offer any explanation or resolution. To make matters worse, when the time came to pay, the server brought out a single check for all eight guests without asking if we wanted separate tabs. When we requested to split the bill, she seemed surprised and unprepared. One guest, frustrated with the entire experience, paid the full amount just to be done with it, and the rest of us reimbursed her directly. Summary: In total, eight meals were ordered--and eight meals were wrong. Every single member of our group had an issue with their dish, ranging from missing items to improperly cooked or substituted food, all without notice or accountability from the staff. The food quality was poor, the service inattentive, and the experience frustrating from start to finish. Robintino's has received our lowest possible rating, and we strongly discourage anyone from dining here unless there is a complete overhaul of the kitchen, service staff, and management. None of the eight of us will be returning--likely ever--and we'll be sharing this experience with others to help them avoid the same disappointment. I took my kids there and we order the classic cenetta, which is small pizza and pasta. The lasagna had a terrible flavor to it, and I'm pretty sure the cheese was moldy. The breadsticks they brought out for free were probably the best best of the meal, but that isn't saying much cause they were so dry you needed all the ranch from the tiny baby cup they gave us. We did each order a drink and when all was said and done, with a tip, our order was almost $90. For 4 people. My son had ordered chicken fettuccini Alfredo for his pasta and what they brought out could never be in the same catergory as Alfredo. It wasn't even close and it was gross. So she told us she would get us another lasagna instead, SHE offered, we didn't ask. But I think she charged us for it cause how else would our bill be so high. I have gone over it in my head since I left and can't figure why the bill was so high. I just Apple paid, so I never saw the total on receipt. That's on me. The server was kind, but SO busy she would just throw our stuff on the table and run off. The restaurant was clean. But hardly anyone else was there, and now looking back, I can see why. I have fond memories of going to their different locations. The server also came over right away and got our drink order. He came back a bit later for our food order and I had to remind him of our drinks too. He fumbled a bit over our food order and eventually had to be reminded of a salad we had ordered. We also had to wait quite a bit to cash out and get our to go boxes. I was so excited to get an Olive Garden in Bountiful. But after a disappointing meal (it's never as good as we want it to be...) we decided to give Robintinos a try. I'm so glad we did. I don't know why we bother with these chain places when we have an amazing Italian place so close! Everything we had was so good! And portions were large. The lasagna was amazing! We tried different types of pasta and chicken and just wanted to keep eating everything! It was nice to have left overs for the next day. Take out was quick. They also checked my order to be sure it was right. They noticed the soup wasn't closed as tightly as they'd like, so they replaced it and made sure the new one was tightly packed. Nothing leaked on the way home, so I guess it was worth it. We will be back again for sure! read more

We asked our server how the veal parmigiana was he said oh it's great I serve about 17 a night so we ordered it with soup. We waited and waited no soup or bread or drinks. Finally the manager brought it out then as soon as we started to eat the soup our meal came out too we were like ok. The cheese bread showed up with our ticket at the end of the meal, burnt. No apology from the waitress for the app being so late, or for the condition of the bread. We order pizza about every other month because my husband really likes their food. Called in to order, we got home and each had a slice of pizza, both of us were saying there is something wrong with this? It was so dry we couldn't even eat it and you couldn't see any sauce on the pizza. I called to let them know how bad the pizza was. They got the manager who told me he checked with the cooks and they remember making the pizza and they put sauce on it. Instead of trying to make it right for me he wanted to argue about it. Robintinos has been a local favorite in Bountiful for decades. In fact, I've been patronizing it for at least three decades. Over the years, little has changed. The menu has the same standard items, mostly significantly Americanized "Italian" food, which shares little resemblance to what would find in Italy itself. The pasta tends not to be served al dente, the sauces are heavy on tomato paste and the vegetables are overcooked and watery. Despite this, the food is consistent, served in typically large serving sizes which satisfies the need for sustenance, if not providing a feast of flavor. We sometimes order a take out dinner, like "Veal Alla Robintinos" which is served with a dinner salad, watery previously frozen vegetables, mini bread sticks and a side of pasta, (we usually choose their lasagna). We can share one serving which, after splitting the cost between two, is about the same cost as cooking at home. Another menu item we sometimes get for takeout is a pizza. Their version of a combo comes with a base of typical vegetables served on pizza (olives, green peppers, onions and "imported" mushrooms) and mozzarella cheese, to which one adds their choice of one meat. Last week we ordered our pizza with anchovies, since we were recovering from Covid and needed something strong that we could taste. The large pizza, with tip, was pretty pricy, and we spent about $28 with tip. But, it was big and we were able to make two meals from it, so, it wasn't such a bad deal after all. The abundantly laid anchovy fillets hit the spot with a dose of red pepperoncini flakes to top it off for extra flavor. All in all, despite the overall quality and appeal of their food, I suppose I will continue to patronize Robintinos for its filling comfort dining and never changing menu. I'm glad it still exists after a near closure and I hope it remains a Bountiful institution for years to come. read more

Just picked up a take-out order and should have checked it before leaving. Ordered 4 large pizzas and 2 individual salads ($110.00). Salads were pathetic. There was one small handful of lettuce, 5 olives and 3 pieces of pepperoni for $9.00. Pizza crusts were paper thin and more than one pizza was missing half of the pizza sauce. Cheese was almost non-existent. My family has been going to Robintinos for over 40 years, but I'm afraid the new management just isn't up to providing the consistently good food that has been served there for years. I would drive 20 miles to get to Robintinos pizza in the past, but it was always worth the drive. This is not the case anymore. Skimpy toppings on the pizza almost no sauce. I thought it might be just an anomallly but I went back a 2 nd time and the food is not what we've all come to love. Ingredients have been substituted with what I am sure are cheaper ingredients.
