In for my annual eye exam. Time for new contacts. The office was clean and bright. The staff was amazing, engaging and festive. Dr Nguyen was cool too. She picked up right where I left off during my last visit. They got me in and out quickly but did not make me feel rushed. I could have stayed here chatting and laughing all day. Thank you Nia, Chris, Dan and Vanessa for an amazing office visit. I would be here chatting and laughing if I didn't have to work during the day. This place has gone downhill, badly. When we first moved here, we used them and were very satisfied. Post-pandemic, they are sloppy with appointment times (run dreadfully late) and horrible with their communication. The process to get my daughter fitted with contact lenses took OVER A MONTH and required multiple hours and multiple appointments. The 30-60 minute "contact lenses class" took over 90 minutes, the majority of which was my daughter sitting around watching the staff busily help other people. They refuse to release her prescription until we jumped through all of their useless surprise hoops. There's a new hoop to jump through at every appointment. The manager was smarmy and condescending when I expressed my concerns about the opaque process. We still don't have her prescription and while I would love to say to heck with them and go elsewhere, we would then have to completely reinvent the wheel with a new provider due to their holding my daughter's prescription hostage. Just go elsewhere. This place is garbage. read more

Took them a month and a half to get my glasses shipped out to me. They never notified me when they were ready. They never updated me, even when they had to send them back to get the lens fixed because there was apparently a large scratch after making them. They then sent my 3 pairs of glasses out to me bouncing around in a box with no paper or bubble wrap. The prescription sunglasses were in a soft case that was too small for them. They do not communicate with the customer and then they send the product out in a box where they can be easily damaged. after waiting this long for the glasses to come in, I don't even want them anymore. You're better off at another store. read more

One month later, I visited Eye Consultants of Northern Virginia for a cataract and glaucoma examination. I saw an opthalmologist. The examination was very thorough. The prescription was significantly different than that provided by Visionworks, thereby confirming my suspicion about Visionworks. read more

Great service, Yared was super helpful and scored a home run with me today. My glasses broke and he used the demo pair frames and interchanged out the lens so I would not be inconvenienced and have to wait a week or so for the replacement. Great customer service read more

This place is a joke. I went in after trying glasses for a few weeks to have an adjustment made. 30 days later, I went in again surprised that they never called me. They had paperwork from my visit but never placed the order. Corporate sent a poorly worded non-apology saying they finally submitted the order. 99% sure when I get my new glasses I'm still not going to be able to use them, either. read more

This place isn't professional at all.... I had a scheduled appointment and I had to literally wait almost 2hours past my appointment time to see the doctor. What's the point of an appointment if they can't see you within 30mins of your appointment time... My son's last eye exam was a year ago, and the eye doctors here are incompetent. They did my son's vision exam and increased his eye astigmatism by 600%!!!! We took their prescription and had his frames and lenses made at another business and when we received the glasses my son complained saying, looking through the glasses was extremely weird. Now we have to return to have the eye exam done again and have the lenses redone again because of the inexperience doctors they have their. This will be the last time I take my family to this type of business. read more

If you'll notice, you'll see mainly bad reviews on here. I for one, have been to this visionworks on multiple occasions, and is actually the only one I choose to go to. I've gone to get my glasses, cleaned on occasion, have them checked to make sure they are functioning properly and to make sure no maintenance is needed on them. The store manager there, plus her sales team and optometrist have ALWAYS been very kind, knowledgeable and friendly with me only because I don't walk in there DEMANDING things. I know it's my responsibility to make sure that MY glasses that sit on MY face are taken care of, and if I break them, I don't take it out on any of the associates because they are not responsible for the abuse I put them through. As a correction to one of the past reviews on here (recent one) I've witnessed how customers or patients don't ask, but demand free things(nothing in this world is free) and strictly put blame on the employees. The sales team, from what I've noticed, practice extreme patience with them, and when customers don't get their way, they yell about it until corporate gets involved which is unfair to the employees there. I for one believe that this store deserves nothing less then 5 stars. read more

When I had an apt here, the Doctor I had was good but one of the front desk people was rude. She automatically assumed that I couldn't speak English. very disgusting to automatically jump to conclusions about somebody solely because of their race. and when I would ask questions, she would not answer by switching the topic or just answered with as little words as possible. I had to ask a simple question 3 times before she finally rudely answered me. I also asked about a deal that they had, and she rudely told me that it wasn't a good deal and to instead, spend more money on a different "deal." Unprofessional, unhelpful, and unfriendly/rude. When I need new glasses, I will be going somewhere else. read more

Avoid this location if you can! Worst experience from initial appointment to actually picking up the glasses. My daughter and I both had back to back appointments in early August. We weren't seen by the doctor until almost an hour past our appointment time because the front desk staff erased our profiles in the system and had to re-enter all the information again before we could be seen. I ordered contact lenses for myself and two pairs of glasses for my daughter. My contact lenses and one pair glasses came in about a week after our appointments however the second pair of glasses has been "pending" for a month. I went to the store to ask about what was happening with those glasses and was told by the the front desk staff that there was no way for them to figure out what was going on and they would have someone from the lab call me. A week passes and no call from the lab. I call again and find out that the order was never started because they can't find the glasses my daughter picked and why we haven't picked out another pair. I asked when was that going to be communicated to me that the glasses aren't available. the response was "they're only $39 so you can just pickout another pair". I asked to cancel the order because I no longer want to deal with them. Order has been cancelled yet no sign of a refund. Don't go here! read more

Always double booking. Recently, I scheduled for first thing in the morning (when they open) at 10am to avoid the long wait. It still took over an hour for the doctor to see me. Rating is based on service and price. We sat and waited 25 minutes to see the optometrist for a simple follow-up appointment (maybe double-booked?). The optometrist was friendly enough, but the reception/sales folks seemed disengaged. Tip: buy your glasses and contacts at Costco. I've gone to this location three times now. The first was to get a measurement that I needed in order to be able to order glasses online from a different website with a prescription from a different doctor. I was surprised that they didn't mind and didn't charge me. When it came time for my next eye exam, I went back and they were helpful, courteous, and price matched an online site for my contacts. Just yesterday I returned for another annual exam and contact order and Britany at the front desk was great. She made sure that I got the best possible price for my services and contacts and even price matched Costco's obscenely low price so that I walked away paying less than $70 for everything with insurance and the $28 digital eye map. I will be going back to what is now Visionworks annually for sure! read more

Dr. Cam is wonderful. I've been taking my boys here for years and today for myself so this review is way overdue. Dr. Cam is always friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. My boys feel very comfortable with her for at least the last four years. She is patient and her exams are very thorough. I did lasik over ten years ago and my vision has changed since so I came in today to get distance and reading glasses. I came in without an appointment and was able to be seen 30 minutes later. Love the convenience and flexibility this location offers. After my exam I was assisted by Samra who continued the consistent excellent service. It's been so long since I've worn glasses so Samra took charge and directed me to frames she thought best fit my face and style. I was very happy with the selections she recommended. Even better, both my glasses will be available for pickup tomorrow. I'd give this place more stars if possible. read more

They understand that customers are of course, very important but to also treat people with respect. He apologized and contacted the store. Just came from them and could not be happier! Whoever needed the attitude adjustment in customer relations must be long gone. The staff are all kind, accommodating and professional. There was a mix up with my prescription...important info was left off by the Dr's office staff, even though the fault was not theirs, they tried tweaking the glasses.... then when that didn't work they got in touch with the Dr's office and found the problem. Kimberley Burrows hooked me up with 2 new pairs of glasses with new lenses for $480 with benefits!!! I got the highest grade lenses for both pairs and have free replacement if I break a pair. The process was easy and simple. Kimberely explained every option very clearly and was very patient with all my questions. I bought two pairs of glasses here over a year ago and both glasses had specs in the plastic and what looks like bubbles everywhere. As you can imagine, this makes it very hard to see. I had to buy a new pair from Warby Parker just to see! read more

I went here to get my eyeglasses prescription filled, so I did not visit the optometrist. The selection was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Maybe I just went at the right time, but they had a pretty decent sale going on. I had wreaked my old pair of glasses and I went to a few places to figure out how much it would cost to replace just the lenses. Most places quoted me $400-500 which I thought was outrageous. Between my contacts, the doc's appointment, and glasses, it's like I might as well get the laser surgery! I didn't ask the staff really for help, I brought in reinforcements to help me pick out the right pair after I figured out this was the only place that wasn't going to break the bank. I've only had the glasses for a week, so hopefully they will stand the test of time. read more

They seemed nice enough but it has been 10 days since I ordered my glasses. No phone calls, no updates, nothing. I went into the store on the day they promised me my glasses and it took 10 minutes for them to tell me "the lenses just arrived." Fair enough. I asked them to call me when a new pick-up date was available. That was 5 days ago. Nothing. I'm heading in to the store today to get my money back. Extremely poor customer service. read more

I recommend this establishment. Dr Selman has been treating me and my family for over six years. I have noticed that he has had the same wel trained service technicians who knew how to utilized my insurances. They take theit time to ensure that each customer is seen and most often walking are taken care of, yet because the office encourages appointments, I too have had to wait to be seen if I walk in. I had transferred my care from a provider that could not seem to charge me correctly. It's important that I and my family recieve quality care, recieve good products, get the patients education we need and pay for services rendered. I strongly recommend this facility. read more
