Horrible customer service. Scheduled eye exam and wasn't allowed to order contacts directly after. Physician forces you to return for follow up appointment to charge your insurance for another visit. Also ordered glasses and trial pair of contact because they had very little trial pairs in stock. I waited almost two weeks for trial pair of contacts. After finally allowing me to order contacts, customer service was horrible. Agents had me waiting on the phone for 30 minutes and never came back to phone. Then I had gone into the location, just for them to say my contacts were never ordered. This is the worst Visionworks, save yourself sometime go somewhere else. read more

The Vision wks in Waldorf gets a 1 star the lab gets a zero star rating because as a paying customer no one irregardless to weather conditions should never have to wait as long as I did on the phone or by mail visionwks lab sucks. I came here twice and both times the service was Terrible. The man with the white hair who sits in the eye exam desk this evening at 6:30 pm acts as though he barely wants to help me. After 25 awkward minutes trying to help him, help ME to find my vision insurance benefits and his energy having my thinking about just leaving, so that I could order glasses, I gave up and just asked to have my prescription printed. I was calling my insurance, telling him what to search to find me, the whole 9. He hands me off to another tall young man - who - during my last visit was too busy asking me a bunch of unrelated questions about myself while I'm giving him this blank stare, and being too friendly to the point where I had to tell him "hey, I'm just trying to order some contacts" and he messed up my order - shipping it to the store versus my house) Do you know this whole time he didn't bother to see that both RXs just expired 2 ago. What a waste of time. When I came in, he didn't even acknowledge me there when I was the only person in the store until I said something to him asking who should I call to help me, and I truly think he was even more so happy when I left. read more

I had nothing but good things to say about this location. I received some not so good news about my exams and was tearful. Jordan was my tech and he was very comforting and reassuring. I do have to go back to get a form signed for the renewal of my drivers license but the customer service that i was shown, I'm glad to be a new customer of this location. read more

I went online and scheduled my appointment. When I made the appointment it said telehealth. I just assumed it was a mistake. So o get there and the young lady took me back and gave me all of my test. Then I went in the exam room and that's where I had a telehealth appointment with the doctor to discuss my change in prescription. It was a bit odd to be speaking to the doctor on a screen. But neat! The Doctor was very nice and quick. I didn't order any glasses this go round. I ordered 3 months worth of contacts. The price wasn't too bad but its definitely the most I've paid for in the past. I will probably only buy my glasses here and order my contacts elsewhere. My contacts were ready for pick up today which is almost 2 weeks. Again, I've never had to wait that long for my contacts at other places. Customer service was great and I had no issues at all. I'll probably be back because of the location and its not too far from my home. read more

It appears Visionworks is not a good and reliable business since the recent reviews are all bad. Including ours. My grandsons glasses were suppose to ship to the Douglasville, GA store close to our home because we had to do the exam in Fayetteville GA, because of insurance. We gave the store our home address, phone number, etc in Georgia to let us know when they would be in. For some reason, they shipped my grandsons glasses to an old address we had years ago in Tennessee. The glasses didn't even ship to either Visionworks store. What could go wrong???? Everything!!!! This is the worst Visionworks ever. The wait times are horrible and the customer service needs a lot of work. Now here is my latest issue with this store. Im out of town for an extended stay and desperately need a copy of my prescription and for my kids as well. I was expecting somewhat of a smooth process. Um, no. I called the store early November 2021, I got the robot lady. Ok not a problem, I'll go through the prompts. An actual human answers the phone and immediately says, please hold. Then hangs up. Um ok. Let me try this again. I call back, get the robot lady again and then get the message about high call volume and then got hung up on. Welp let me try in a couple of days then, because at this point I just can't. I call back, again same issue. I go online and use the email provided and even chat. Auto robot again. Ok at this point it's going into another month, I'm still trying, however it's the same cycle. .... 2 months later! I get a call from the store! I'm super happy about this. The guy says I can only come in or have it faxed. He even said he will fax it to the store I'm closer to because there is no way I can come in, remember Im in a different state. He even provides the phone number to the store closer to me where he will fax. I'm like ok, I'm getting somewhere. I call up the store where I'm at. They check the fax and guess what, nothing there! So I call back up this store. Robot lady again. Providing different options that don't fit my situation. I should have took a screen shot of how long I waited on the phone. I listened to the robot lady for 1 hour!!!! ... and guess what, after 1 hour of waiting on the phone, the call hung up on me. Ok, so now I'm completely done, hence I'm writing this review to get out my frustration. I don't care if it's only 1 person working there. Here are my thoughts. You clearly see it's an issue. Maybe lack of staff, I don't know, let's just go with that. Well RESTRUCTURE your process and the workflow! You can hire me to be your business consultant if that will help?!! I have just waisted major time and I'm about to waste money, why? Because I have to get me and my children's eyes done again that's not covered by insurance. Why? Because we just went in!!!! Hello!!! I came into this store because I needed new lenses put into my Tom Ford frames. I gave them two pairs of frames and only got a call about one. I still don't know what happened with my second pair, I am in grad school and have been unable to follow up. It has been more than five months...I think they probably broke them and are afraid to tell me that since it's a 500$ frame. The website does not even have my order listed so I have zero information. I want my frames back and refund at the very least. They have my info, tell them to give me a call. Im disappointed that I ever walked into that store. read more

Waldorf Vision works is the worse. Never enough people working. My husband and I had to wait for someone to get free. Also, we received email both glasses were in but of course that wasn't the case. His didn't come for another week. If you try calling them you stay on hold and get a customer service outside of the store that is in another country. Visionworks - St. Charles Mall - Waldorf, MD After decades of using Visionworks, this year I switch me and my spouse to a different eyecare provider. I will probably suggest my family switch to a different provider as well. Very impersonal, they went almost completely automated which has tanked the customer service experience. I could not get anyone on the phone after a multitude of attempts. In-person customer service leaves a lot left to be desired. The staff are not as seasoned and knowledgeable as the chain was previously known and loved for. The number of staff available to interact with people has been cut dramatically. Not sure why they thought this business model would elevate the customer satisfaction experience. I will no longer recommend Visionworks nor do I think I'll ever return to this location or chain. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous and the optician literally rushed my child when we finally got called in the back after waiting an hour after our appointment time. I said at that moment I would never go back. When the appointment was over I had no idea what I was supposed to do next. So we were kinda just standing in the middle of the store. The optician pointed and said wait over there. I had no idea where "over there" was. Now, after two weeks, my sons glasses are still not ready. My poor baby has been struggling to see in class. This is my second time and last time at this location...last year the waiting room was filled and my wait was over an hour. . This year the doctor rushed me through my exam. Instead of giving me time to blink he suggested to me if one lens was better then the other. After only reviewing one line from a far for each eye he brought another exam closer and had me go through one line on each eye then told me my prescription didn't change. Gave me replacement contacts and had me sit on his chair and put a book in my face asking me if I could see the font...Of course the font was large. This was the fastest exam ever!!! To my surprise when I checked out I owed additional $105 for mono-vision contact lens fitting??? Was that him putting the book in my face??? He didn't do anything else differently then he would have it I was getting glasses. This place just adds on charges for Absolutely Nothing!!! Watch yourself and make sure you know what they charging you for upfront! read more

Schedule an appointment, was on time but still had to wait over 25 minutes just to do the pre testing. After the pre testing I had to sit and wait another 20 minutes to get in the room. I didn't know that it would be a tele health appointment. That also took a long time for the doctor to show up. The associate kept apologizing for the long wait. Finally finished, attempted to purchase glasses after waiting again for 20 minutes. I had decided to take the prescription and order glasses myself. That's when I found out they hadn't even gotten my prescription ready. So I told them I'm leaving I'll come back another day. The manger end up helping me, I told her I've never had to wait that long. This appointment took over 2 hrs. I may never return! read more

Ihave been coming here for over 6 yrs and have never encountered such craftiness ,untrustworthiness and lack of unprofessional before until yesterday at this store. . My daughter showed up at her appt less than 15 minutes late and this muslim lady turned her way and told her they have a 19 minutesgrace period. Meanwhile my daughter had to come back a later time which was unconvinced. Oftentimes you are sitting at least 15 minutes to see the dr. Her lack of empathy and professionalism to see if she could accommodate was not ther. It appears since arrival that she was throwing barriers and roadblocks in the process . To the point she told a bold face lie to my Daughter about copays and contact lenses cost. Being unprepared my daughter immediately called me and I was flabbergasted that she told a bold face lie to me as well. The insincerity and unethical behavior led me to call my plan to verify and as I thought it was lie. The Plan administrator reached out to store to clarify what we were entitled to And my daughter walked out with her 6 months supply of contact lenses For free with no copay. My daughter said afterwards, she was very rude towards her and made derogatory remarks towards her because she was exposed In front other customers. My daughter is not a confrontational person but I think she played on her vulnerability as a young adult and was going steal from her. I have never had a bad interaction or experience at this store before this encountered to try to swindle us out money is unconscionable.The manager. I've tried multiple times to call them today regarding an issue for a family member nobody answereds I end up in a call center that is Lord noseware. Sent the facts to them they do not respond to it. I had another optometry store send the facts to them to get the family members contact prescription they still don't respond. After visiting the Brandywine location and having an extremely awful experience; I was receptive to trying another location. On the aforementioned date I visited the Waldorf Visionworks and was greeted with a warm smile and charming welcome by Linda. Linda assured me that she was available to assist with my selection; especially considering this was my first pair of prescribed eyeglasses. Her ease and delightful personality comforted me during this process. Selections were a bit challenging considering I was impressed with several frames. As a result, I was able to decide on a beautiful frame with the guidance of Linda and Donna. While analyzing the best features for my frames and lenses and completing my transaction; Linda and Donna showed great compassion and kindheartedness. Went to order a pair of glasses and lenses for a pair of frames I bought there a couple years ago. Once again, I was told my vision insurance wouldn't be the best way for me to go. I was told I could NOT purchase just lenses as part of their BOGO promotion. For a pair of glasses with relatively inexpensive frames and a pair of lenses I was quoted $840.00. This was after someone behind a closed door told the clerk I could use the BOGO. This mysterious voice didn't ever show its face. Went to the optician behind them and got lenses for my frames and a full pair of glasses for under $600.00 using my insurance and a promotion for a second pair. A call to the customer service number at VisionWorks left them firm on the $840.00 price tag. They don't care. I had been a repeat customer...but no longer. Shop around. They will milk you for everything they can. Extremely poor experience both in store and on the phone with their customer service department. It wasn't like that the last couple years when I have shopped there. read more

Very bad customer service. Called at 1130 asking to have my prescription faxed to another store closer to my home. When I arrived at the store at 1:00pm, they did not have the prescription. The store called them, and was told it was being faxed right away. 10 minutes later, the store manager had to call them, and stayed on the line until they actually faxed it. They have good optometrists, but the shoddy customer service negates that. I will not use the Waldorf store again. read more

I have given this particular Visionworks several chances to get their business practice together. My son was due for vision/contact lens, I did everything through the website. We get to our appointment on time and there are 4 people ahead of us, some had not even had the pre testing done. The associate who checked us in told me that my insurance no longer paid for contact lens exams or free contacts.I thought it was strange. So we opted for the just vision. After the exam called my husband and he went to check the coverage. It was still covered so he called the insurance company directly and they said nothing has changed. The insurance even stayed on the line so they could help the associate link to the correct. They were busy helping others. We patiently waited for our turn not one person attempted to help, even if we were just getting glasses. So I walked over to ask for some help from two associates and one walked away & the other said she couldn't help me and she was too busy. At that point I'm done, I leave. Vision Works send me a text saying, Sorry you missed appointment would you like to rescheduled. I've tried to contact them about the insurance and his prescription, can't get human to pick up the phone or use the chat. read more

Ive been here three time and every single time the customer service has been horrible. Don't bother making an appointment, they pick and choose who they want to help depending on the mood they're in. Just now the young lady at the front desk ignored us for 30 minutes because she was on the WORK PHONE having a personal conversation about the tickets she just bought. All I can say is-Do they even want your business? I called there at 10:15am on a Monday that was not a national holiday to check if my prescription was still valid to get contacts. After being put on hold for five minutes the woman came back on the phone and said she would have to call me back. So, I gave her my number I waited about an hour for a callback. After no one called I drove over there and there was but one customer in the store with four employees sitting around. Now, this happened to me after being a customer there before. Even my first visit was like this. If you want information from them--Good luck, it's better to just drive there and speak to someone in person. They don't write down your phone number to call you back and wait for you to call them back. Needless to say, I'm in the market for a new eye doctor. read more

It's sad that the Dr here is so amazing BUT the staff is unfortunately not as great. I would be willing to keep all 6 of my family members as patients here but as hard as it is to get in touch with them is honestly not even possible! The telephone service is extremely POOR. And automated system that just puts you on hold. We call from two phones and BOTH of us sat on hold for 40 min. Arrived 10 minutes before our 1st appointment. there were 5 chairs for customers, 2 were empty. we were told have a seat which we both went to 1 chair. Right after that, we were told to leave and wait outside-sternly- very rude and disrespectful. Oh, but the black customers were allowed to wait inside. Maybe you don't like to service white customers- because by your attitude, it is blatantly obvious. This is my eye place. I usually don't buy eyewear(i like crazier frames) but, I do purchase my contacts from here. The staff is great. You will get a new girl every now and then...she will make the visit more entertaining for you(not the doctor LOL)but, everyone has always has as great attitude. They are very engaging, neat, and busy. Appointment Making an appointment is very easy never had any issues with that, you can even walk in...if you happen to do a walk-in, do it early or you will regret it. Selection There is a nice selection of frames, from some well known names. Don't go in looking for Dior, Chanel or Versace...Try somewhere else. If you are looking for a good pair of affordable glasses this is the place. The do accept several types of vision insurance and they also offer a very nice discount to those with out it...a very nice one. I was five minutes late for an appointment with Dr . Kubick because I thought the kohl's less open and I could walk directly into the mall. I had to go thru the food court entrance. They have a loop in their process because they didn't verify my insurance before my appointment. So an hour had pasted before they verified my insurance. The doctor chose to skip me five times. Once almost three hours passed I asked if I'm next. The doctor told the receptionist since I came last I have to wait after she is finished with all her customers. The two patients sitting in the waiting room were very upset to hear how long I have been waiting. One customer even suggested I could go before them. Worst experience. Came in approximate March 11th for a pair of glasses (after my current pair broke in half) and received a March 23rd date for pickup. On March 22nd, I called to check the status and was told they didn't send my frames to the lab. The young lady went in to tell me it was going to be expedited and provided the UPS tracking number and my glasses should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday (3/29 or 3/30). After checking, the frames reached Texas on Monday. Called on Tuesday and the recording said it had no record of my order. Spoke again with a different young lady who told me she's checking the drawer. After checking, no glasses. She then gave me date of 4/11. After being in shock, the young lady that initially said it would be expedited came on the phone and said it'll be this week. HORRIBLE service here. I'll go inside to get a full refund and to clear this from my insurance. They did refund $50, but my thought is they have no intention of giving me a pair of glasses. read more
