Dr. Cohen is clearly very passionate about what he does. He is deeply educated in all matters of the eye and his ability to explain a wide array of questions were done with an eagerness to inform that is rarely seen today. I truly appreciate that he took his time making sure I was could see absolutely perfect. As for the staff, they are equally as impressive and some of the sweetest folks you will get to work with. I am considering corrective eye surgery in the future and look forward to working with Dr. Cohen and his wonderful staff again. I have even taken my 6 year old son for an eye exam and it was smooth sailing. Two minor issues that did catch my attention... I was a little saddened to find out when I went for an exam and new frames that they no longer carry Gucci frames (yea, I'm a tad boujee); however, I did find an awesome pair of grey Prada frames that are amazing! The gentleman and young lady who assist with the fittings were phenomenal! Super helpful and gave their honest opinions when I was trying on frames. Second issue is that it took about an extra week and a half for my frames to arrive for me to pick-up. Now, I don't think this was any fault of Doctors On Sight, but I kept getting quotes that my glasses would be ready on a certain date and they weren't. I was super PRESSED for my new glasses (like a kid at Christmas) and would call back every few days for an update. All in all, my family will be back and the interior upgrade makes this place look even more welcoming and up-to-date!

No matter how many times I clean it it was still painful so I had to pull the glasses out. My medical doctor couldn't see me soon so I went to Dr. Cohen at doctors on sight and he diagnosed it as a corneal abrasion. One week of just wearing glasses, antibiotic eye drops and eye ointment and I was good as new. Yes I've read other reviews and their eyeglass prices are pretty high, but it's a professional environment with competent staff. I'm not going anywhere else.

Additionally, I was told that the doctor could complete the required form for a $20 fee, WOW! However, I would still need to get the completed form to the MDOT/MVA. That sounded completely crazy to me, so I simply went directly to the MDOT/MVA and had them do the screening on site FREE of charge. Makes one wonder - Are the systems at this location outdated with no intention of upgrading in order to collect $20 from patients for a document you still have to take to the MDOT/MVA for processing? Such a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT and VERY INCONVENIENT!! Maybe time to make a switch.

Google says they're open and my appointment again was scheduled for 10 and so why exactly are you scheduling people for 10:00 if no staff is there to open the door. I get in and the receptionist is basically screaming my info across the room so that everyone can hear. I'm noticeably annoyed at this point but just trying to get to this doctor so I try my best to work with her. Let's back track for a min. so when I made the appointment, the same receptionist took my insurance information and said that she would run it and call if there were any issues. I said back that if I don't hear from her, am I to assume that there's no issues. She replied yes and rushed me off the phone. 7 days later with no confirmation, I'm at the appointment and she is calling my insurance on SPEAKER yelling at the dial tone that she needs to speak to claims to verify my benefits. It's 1023 at this point and my patience is thin. She takes another call from a patient, returns to my benefits line and hangs up and reports to me that she tried but that I can call if I'd like. I kindly reminded her that she told that she would do this ahead of my appointment in which she replied that she did and couldn't get through...sooo call again? OR call me like you said you would if you had any issues. That being said, I'm sure Dr. Chika is lovely, but I'll never know when you can't make it past the incompetent front desk and that speaks volumes for your practice. NEW Patients: I'd use caution booking here and Dr.Chika, I'd spend some time training your staff.
