The first pair came in with the lenses NOT MADE CORRECTLY. After going through a second visit and thorough recheck, it has taken too long to get my eyeglasses delivered. I was warned it may take some time...since they had been pushing a sales event..however, MINE PROBLEM WAS THEIR SCREW UP. I think I will go back to WAL-MART for future pairs of eyeglasses.

Not a great experience. Used my VSP benefits in December and made it very clear that I needed…read moreglasses ASAP. I was advised I could get them within a week (visit was 10 Dec 2026) as long as I paid a 30$ rush fee. I called after the first week and they were not in. Was advised they would come that Saturday- they did not arrive. They did not arrive the week after. I called both locations, left a VM and a text message... no response. I called VSP and they went through the exact same thing, with the office not responding by phone. By the time they came in, I was out of town and currently still out. I ended up getting another eye exam and glasses somewhere else. When I asked for a refund, Dr. Lamont wanted to mail glasses to my vacation location- this was NOT an option. When I asked VSP why Dr. Lamont and his team would advise me that a rush on my glasses was given as an option, I was told that VSP does NOT do rush orders in the month of December. When I asked if the doctor knew this, I was advised that he was definitely aware of this, and they were unsure why it was offered. All I want is a refund for my glasses AND benefits, due to not being able to reach the office for cancelation and for being misled about my order. But apparently Dr. Lamont's office is refusing to do this. Very sad, as I don't need two (2) pairs and I am still out of town.

Patty and Wendy are consistently so sweet and welcoming. The young lady with the burgundy hair is an absolute sweetheart too! And let's talk about Donato--kind, professional, and hilarious. Mike is truly a gem! He knows exactly what looks good on his patients. Trust me, he'll have you going broke while looking like a million bucks--LOL. Dr. Burns is fantastic. Thanks to him, my eyesight has improved significantly. I meant to post this after my last visit last year but forgot. Today's visit reminded me just how much I appreciate them. She never seemed rushed, and I had her undivided attention throughout the careful examination. Jessica was fun to talk with as she helped me figure out my different lense options, and she was able to provide a wide range of upgrades and prices. Lenses were ready in less than a week. Appointment are easy to set up, though the clinic's popularity may require a 2-3 week wait.

The front desk lady at the time I made my appointment was so accommodating and called in reinforcements to make sure I got an appointment before I had to report back to work. Today the check in process was speedy. The doctor assistant was personal and professional. There were several test done on my eye to make sure that everything will be right and ready for my surgery. All my questions were answered and the cherry on top was... I was told by another assistant they recommended I got a lens not covered by my insurance. The doctor looked at my last test taken on my eye and said that it was not necessary to get. Not to come out of pocket when I could get the one covered by my insurance. That because of the condition of my eye, it would not be worth paying that money. Because of my experience so far, I feel confident in a successful surgical out.

The paperwork was pretty straight-forward and took very little time. The doctor who performed my examination was very nice and quick. I have pretty poor taste in fashion so the woman that was assisting me helped me find a pair that was within my budget and look good on me. She didn't try to upsell me on any extras for my lenses that didn't seem needed for the work I do like some other places I've been to. I will definitely be going back when I need another pair of glasses or contacts in the future.

Naturally, about 15 years later, I needed another correction and returned to Dr. Whitten for a consultation. During that visit, he recommended monovision, given my age at the time (late 40s). He explained that this approach would allow me to balance both near- and far-sighted vision without needing reading glasses, which many people begin using in their 50s. However, after the procedure I immediately noticed difficulty seeing clearly. Over the following year, I continued to struggle with my vision--particularly problematic in my work as a professional photographer--and sought evaluations from multiple optometrists and ophthalmologists. I then discovered that the LASIK procedure had been performed on the wrong eye. When I returned to see Dr. Whitten, I learned that neither he nor his staff had ever determined my dominant eye prior to surgery. In fact, my old patient notes from 2020 confirm that no such test was performed. Despite this, no apology was offered for the mistake. During that visit, I was seen by John Rogers, a technician and former Senior Surgical Consultant at TLC Vision. His background includes attending Computer Tech of Pittsburgh, but he has no formal education or degree in optometry or ophthalmology. He suggested inappropriate options such as cataract surgery (for which I am not a candidate) and during the same visit Dr. Whitten suggested undergoing yet another LASIK procedure (a third) to correct the issue or resorting to contact lenses--the very reason I had LASIK in the first place. This experience left me with the strong impression that the practice prioritizes business and profit over genuine patient care and vision correction. I regret not doing more thorough research before returning for a second procedure, as I have since learned of multiple malpractice lawsuits filed against Dr. Whitten, including Jamie Domeier vs. Mark Whitten, David Cantalupo vs. Mark Whitten, and Liesl Nichols vs. Mark Whitten. I also couldn't help but notice the promotional posters displayed across his offices, highlighting his LASIK surgery on Tiger Woods in 1999 as a marketing tool to brand himself as a "celebrity" doctor. Unfortunately, beyond the image, his apparent lack of attention and care for patients has led to a troubling number of lawsuits.

At that time, my mom handled most of the paperwork/scheduling etc. The surgery went well, and 10 years later I started experienced some vision changes. I recalled that there was a "Lifetime Guarantee," so recently I followed up and requested a consultation for an enhancement. My mother recently passed away, and I haven't been able to find any paperwork for my procedure (which was 15 years ago). I called the office, and they were able to find my file. They asked me how long I'd been going to the eye doctor, and I said about 5 years (since I had a baby and my vision declined). I arrived at the consultation, and it went well. Friendly office staff, etc. I was excited to find out that I was eligible for an enhancement in both eyes. As I was about to leave the appointment, they sat me down with someone to "review paperwork," which is when she informed me that since I hadn't had a full vision evaluation annually since my surgery, I wasn't eligible for the "Lifetime Guarantee" and that I would be charged $3,000 for the enhancement. I asked why it was expected to go to vision appointments annually when you have perfect vision, and she said "company policy." I understand that they are legally in the right, and I'm sure I was informed of this as a teenager; however, I feel taken advantage of. It felt like an ethically ambiguous money-grabbing situation. The surgery went well and I'm sure Dr. Whitten is very skilled; however, the follow-up experience was poor. Be cautious.
