Pretty disappointed with the service on the retail side of this business. The Doctor and his staff were more than pleasant and very helpful, but when it came time to pick out my glasses, Nathan was hard to work with. My plan allotted various features for lens' which he happened to leave out, and tried pushing upgrades to me telling me they were necessary for my glasses (which was completely untrue). Nathans attitude went from helpful to passive aggressive after I said I wasn't going to take the second pair or the thin lens. I felt like I was basically forced to get the most basic possible lens so I wouldn't have to pay an exorbitant amount walking out the door. And on top of it, he charged me for the copay TWICE. I am pretty upset and will NEVER come back here again. read more

I have purchased here before, the first transaction went well, I went back because my glasses were broke, I was told they could not be fixed, It was a few days from the 1 year purchase date and the manger Bob told me the frame was now discontinued and he would be searching other stores for any frames there...He took my name and number. I made an appt to have my prescription re-check with Dr Wong my being the1st time there with him. The call back never came from Bob the manager, when I showed for the eye appt Bob was clearly having trouble remembering me from the 2 days prior. We refreshed our memories and he informed me he had "no luck" but would try some more. Again I offered my number again and then again to my sales rep Michael C. because this was important to me, he said he would see to it for Bob and would call me back. I will say he assisted me for the most part in getting new glasses. I came back some days later to pick up my new frames up with the new lenses...Bob was not there again and Michael C. had no explanation for himself not calling either. I got the old frame temple bar repaired perfectly at America's Frame Menders on Dulap and 35th Ave for 15.00. As of this post Visionworks still has had no contact with me about the prior glasses. I will also say when contacted about my new order being in via cell phone message they could not find the glasses order when I went to the store, it was filed under my first name Harry not my last. During the search were several inquiries about if I was at the right store by employees? Its now my belief this is a typical mall store, they sell only glasses here and have no intention of support for the products they sell, your a number and not a customer with a face, Their follow up to anything asked really sucks and this store needs new management. I did myself on the third visit inquire about the scratch insurance and paid an additional 60.00 for that ryder on the order, It was not offered in the original purchase transaction, nor the original glasses a years ago... Generally I do this automatically...now we will see if they ever honor it, I have my doubts they have the capacity by the omission of the offering being so consistent in the two purchases... Beware, Be Wise and ask questions here and prepare to be assertive for what you want in this store, you're clearly on your own. The glasses had a plastic burr on the temple bar, a small imperfection easily handled by a fine emery board, this plastic burr cut on my nose, I did leave not realize it until home, I took care of it myself rather than go there. read more

Came here because my insurance covered most of the cost here. This was going to be my first time getting glasses as I've had issues with vision. Regular staff was nice but when the male optometrist texted on my eyes it was very rushed. Told me that glasses won't help me and that I should go see a neurologist. This scared me to death and a few weeks later I got a second opinion from a different practice. Needless to say the optometrist I saw at this location did not care about my well being and was just trying to leave work early. I advise nobody to come here if they want people who care about you. read more

Right lens of my sunglasses came off and couldn't put it back in. I was at the Christown mall in Phoenix, AZ and happen to be by Visionworks. Walked in store and thought maybe they can help. Hesitated since I didn't even purchase pair there. However, staff Emilio gladly helped to fix it. He had excellent customer service skills even toward someone who wasn't really a customer. I have to give this location one star due to the fact that they had to reorder my trial pair of contacts a second time because they were misplaced. When they called to have me come in for my contact fitting I went ahead and preordered my boxes of contacts and they lost those as well and had to re order them. It has been two weeks and I have yet to receive my contacts. At this point I do not plan on returning to this location for the above reasons. read more

Been coming here for about 5 years. Not sure why. Probably because is close to home and also next to Costco, where the world's most under rated pizza can be found. The exam portion was ok. I don't feel like my prescription is nearly as accurate as it could be however. I'm seriously considering getting a second exam with another doctor elsewhere to compare. My main beef is with the sales team. They are shady when it comes to being honest about what you are required to have for your lenses. They are flat out deceptive. What you think is a $200 pair of glasses will magically turn into $400 in the blink of an eye. Pun intended. Their 2 or 1 sale is a gimmick. Don't fall for it. Stick to your guns and get the one pair you came for. Come with a budget. The prices are negotiable and competitive, but they'll make it feel like a car buying experience. I actually had to return my most recent pair due to the prescription being wrong in one lens. When I returned with the glasses, Michael tested them and confirmed that they were indeed not correct. Despite saying they would be ready in a couple days... It's now been a week and they haven't bothered even updating me. Furthermore, the return process was made awkward by the passive aggressive attitude I got from the staff. I'm tired of the headaches from the faulty glasses AND the lackluster employees. The lady who helped me walked around the store with me picking out frames that she thought I might like. I was so indecisive but she was very patient. Arrived for my 1pm appointment to find that the 1215 hadn't been seen yet. I actually had to ask, the receptionist signed me and said nothing. I would have had to wait for 2 hours beyond my scheduled appointment time. The staff had a very poor evasive attitude. I will never go there again. read more

Called in to schedule an appt. 1st and was asked to hold so that it could be transferred. I was on hold 15 minutes. After holding the guy who answered the phones gets on the phone and says I guess they all are at lunch. He proceeds to take my info, comments I have very good insurance and proceeds to schedule and needs my ins info RIGHT NOW otherwise he says I will have to pay out of pocket when I arrive. I have NEVER given my info over the phone. I usually fill that info out when I arrive for the appt. When I voiced this concern, his personality took a 365 degree shift. I am glad I didn't go in because what kind of service would I expect if he was this rude in the phone? What kind of reception do they have? read more

extremely happy with sell staff in helping me pick out my frames, however the dr that did my annual exam on saturdays didnt seem to know what she was doing when i came in withmy old rx and explained my eye conditions. i had to go in 3 times for contact trial and this is the second time for the lenses for the glasses. they were suppose to be transistional and when i got them back they were not as well as the rx wasnt not correct. when wearing the glassed i got extremely dizzy and stressed this to the sells associate who scheduled me with another dr. during the week so hopefully this dr. can get the rx fixed for the contacts and the lenses. read more

The customer service at this location is terrible these days, I've been a customer for years and have never had problems getting what I needed like I have this last year. A rep by the name of Nathan has been especially rude to me over the phone. I am travelling from out of state and requested a single contacts lens as backup as I am down to my last contact lens. They said they couldn't help me even if they wanted because my RX from California is expired. Granted I need to update the RX although I can see fine with the lens I have which are the RX I asked him to fill. I said I was just looking for one Lens (each eye) until I can get an eye exam. He said sorry can't help you. I posed the hypothetical question of what they would do if someone came in and had lost a lens and couldn't get home because of it and would get hurt (even die) without a single lens. He said oh well that just how it is I can't help you, even if it meant death. I asked him where his ethics were and he said he still could not help me and Visioncare couldn't help regardless of whether it meant someone would die. I guess I have a choice of paying high exam fees "today" or get no help regardless of health situation. read more
