Improper carpet installation at doorway. Carpet should transition under the door, so this was cut a full 1" short.

So I went full Karen here. I feel like COAZ didn't do the job right to begin with. See pictures - carpet is cut to the inside of the doorway. Finally get COAZ out to fix it. They added more carpet and then tacked it down where I wanted it. What would they have done if I didn't keep pieces of the old carpet? Dunno. Then to make the transition at the doorway they used a tack strip across the doorway. According to the Carpet Rugs Institute 105 standards it explicitly states to not use tack straps across the doorway. I argued with them and they said this is how they do it and have done it for years. Sure. But just because that is how you've done it forever doesn't mean it is right. They used to use Abestos too. And we all know how that turned out. They pushed carpet into place and then knocked the tacks down with a hammer so the spikes didn't stick up. Then they stomped on the strip (no boots, just socks) to make sure my family wouldn't get stuck by any nails. I appreciate it but it still irks me that this is not aligned to the rules.

Called Vision Flooring to redo the carpeting on my stairs. They sent out a woman to pick the best color for the carpeting. She was so nice and pleasant. Very knowledgeable! They did a fantastic job. Everything looks great and is a good quality.

Working with Jesse to get our selection or carpet figured out and measuring the entire house was no small feat! We met with him a number of times long before our installation date was even scheduled. He was patient, helpful and never pushy. Really appreciated the coordination from him and Jennifer. Were the rubber meets road (or carpet meets the sub-flooring!) is with the installation. There was an unavoidable personnel issue that delayed the start of our installation by a couple hours but Jennifer was very communicative and apologetic (even though she couldn't control an employee having a seizure). The crew showed up and immediately went to work. Joseph was our installer and was very effective with his crew - he clearly was experienced and was able to direct his team around. They too were responsive and respectful. They carefully moved all our furniture around and were open to my guidance on the more delicate items or even how we wanted the rooms put back together. On the final day of installation (a Friday night), they stayed until almost 9 pm to get the job done. They cleaned up everything in the house, did a final walk through with us and did not leave anything behind. The installation did cause a small issue on the flashing on the stairs but Carpets of Arizona has been more than helpful getting that repaired at no charge. For reference, our home is 4300+ sq ft and we replaced carpet in 10 rooms/spaces, stairs, hallway and all the closets (except master). The installation took 3 days. The carpet quality is top notch and everyone at the company communicates well. We are very happy with the work and would highly recommend them to friends and family!

I'm currently pregnant and nesting has hit me in full force. The two major things I wanted to tackle before our first baby gets here - carpets and new windows. I ordered new windows back in December and was told it would take 12 weeks for them to arrive, so I set out to find a flooring company to work with. Carpets of Arizona was the only company I spoke with who offered to work with the window company schedule (we turned one window into a slider and the window company said to wait on flooring install in that room, just in case they had to cut into the floor. They didn't want to damage the new carpet). Carpets of Arizona was willing to install my flooring in two stages so that I didn't have to wait until windows were fully installed to enjoy my new flooring. I described what I was hoping for, style wise, to Monica over the phone. When she arrived at my house to give me a quote, she brought samples that were EXACTLY what I wanted. It is so overwhelming to look at thousands of samples. I appreciate that she was able to bring 3 I liked so I could quickly and confidently make a decision. Geraldine was patient and so helpful during the scheduling process. When there was a delay and window installation was pushed out further, she quickly rescheduled my flooring installation over the phone. Finally, the contractors they hired for my job (Juan and his team) were always on time, polite, and did beautiful work. I am so, so thrilled with my new floors. The upgrade was worth every penny. I wouldn't hesitate to call Carpets of Arizona again if we need anything in the future!

We recently hired Carpets of Arizona to install carpeting and wood plank flooring. To provide fair and balanced feedback they did a nice job with the carpet installation but would strongly caution anyone looking to hire them for wood plank flooring installation. We chose a wood plank floor style that has a high shade variation which means the planks vary from light to dark. It was very important to me that the installers took extra care when installing the floor to ensure the planks were space in a way to ensure the various plank tones were mixed across the floor as the flooring manufacturer intended for the right look. Monica, the sales rep assured me that she would put their best installers on the job. On the day of the installation, I mentioned to Jim, the installer, that I'd like to make sure the light, medium and dark tones were mixed across the floor to achieve the intended look of this flooring style. Jim's response was "Yeah, I'm not going to do that! It will take too long and I don't get paid by the hour." He assured me that if he just pulls the planks from the box and installs they will be mixed (this is not recommended by the manufacturer). Needless to say I was shocked by his response but trusted they knew what they were doing. When the floor was finished my worst fears came true. About half of the floor (the portion Jim was working on) is not varied at all. In fact, there are only 2 different plank styles (out of 10) that appear in a large area of my floor. It looks horrible. I brought this to the attention of both Monica (sales) and Geraldine (Ops) without any resolution for a two month period of time. Upon the completion of the final step of adding the transition strip (happened nearly two months after floor was installed) Monica charged my credit card with the balance due without my authorization or approval. I had to call the credit card company to dispute the charge as we had not yet resolved the installation issues. Be wary of offering your credit card as I've read other reviews and this appears to be a recurring problem. After speaking with Miranda (Manager) I did receive a refund of approximately 10% of the total job as their resolution but it does not resolve the fact that I need to look at a floor everyday that is less than desirable. PHOTOS: In the attached photos you will see a photo with numbers (1 and 2). I labeled the wood planks that are identical to each other to show that nearly half of the floor only uses 2 of the approximately 10 different plank styles. The other photo shows the other half of the floor that was installed much better by the second installer (Manuel). Manuel took more care to install the portion he was working on correctly. Manuel also had a higher customer care factor over and above the management and leadership team at Carpets of Arizona. The photos look like they are two different floors. UGH!! I would not hire them again.

I used Carpets of AZ to install carpet in the home I just purchased. I had a bit of a tight deadline by the folks at Carpets of AZ were great. I contacted Carpets of Arizona as one of many companies obtaining quotes from for re-carpeting 1 bedroom. Michael came out the day after Christmas with samples of exactly what I wanted to see. He measured and quoted right there, and left me to make my decision. I did not feel hounded or pressured at all, unlike a few box stores I visited. The only missing star from a 5-star review was there was a bit of an installer issue, which was due to one of them being sick. I had to call to find out where my installer was. Had they called me when they first found out that the new install team would be late, it would be 5-stars. When the team arrived, they had my old, nasty, gross carpet and pad out quickly and removed my old baseboards for me. The Operations Manager came by as they were finishing up to give me my warranty and see if I had any questions. He was apologetic for the earlier installer mix-up. The team was done by 4pm and had my furniture back in. The carpet is so soft and wonderful. I'm so glad I chose Carpets of Arizona. Great quality and price. If I had more rooms that needed new flooring, I'd definitely use them again. read more

This is a family owned business that cares about their customers on a personal basis and most importantly a professional basis! After reading the reviews about carpets of Arizona, I had to see myself and sent a request for a quote! They called me the next day to set up an appointment. I went down to the show room and met with Jerry! He showed me what they had and even gave me samples to take home and see if I like. They answered every question i could throw at him. They worked with me and my budget and I signed on the dotted line. The story does not end there. I received a call from Shane to set up a time to come out and needed them early and they delivered. A couple days before Adam got a hold of me and let me know the installer would be at my house at 7:30 am which was perfect for my schedule. Luis showed up at 7:30 on the dot!! He worked and even answered questions I had on the instillation. He was AMAZING!!! After it was done Luis helped me move back the furniture and didn't leave a mess and even hand wiped the floor. This company is amazing and will be getting the rest of the house done by them. I have bragged about them at work and even had coworkers come over to see the floor. If I could give 6 stars I would!!! This was an exceptional experience from sales presentation to installation!!! Micheal showed us many options, colors and styles of flooring ands explained warranties and differences etc!! We choose a midrange product with an awesome 15 year warranty!!!!! Luis, out installer, showed up on time and ready to work!! Friendly courteous and professional!! Completed all 3 bedrooms in one day and cleaned up everything before leaving!!! This is by far one of the very best contractor experiences we have ever had!!! Easy smooth and no problems at all!!! The completed floors are beautiful and we LOVE them!!! This was done quickly and didn't end up adding any time to the job, they actually finished before they said they would be done, even with the extra work that needed to be done to level and grind down the concrete! I have a lot of travertine that was 2 years old and they rescued (cleaning & sealing) and sealed it which was long overdue. I was thinking about doing this myself and I'm REALLY glad I didn't. I hired Owo to clean and seal the grout at a house we have by ASU. It was rented out to college…read morestudents so to say the grout was in rough shape is an understatement. At first I was a little shocked at the price but I didn't realize the amount of work that went into it. The cleaning is only a small portion of the cost. Its the sealing (and re-staining the grout) that costs so much because its a very manual process on your hands and knees applying the stain/sealant. Owo was there from about 10 AM to 6 PM. He did an AMAZING job. The grout and tile has gone back in time and now looks brand new again. Its pricey, but worth it. If your tile/grout looks really dirty, its really not worth just cleaning it. The grout has to be re-stained and sealed to bring it back to looking new again. See attached before and after pics. I would definitely recommend Owo and Groutsmith.

Carpets of Arizona is a growing company. That is a good thing, but there can also be growing pains. I had a houseful of carpet installed by Carpets of Arizona 9 months ago. There were just a few places downstairs where some seams showed. I was told a follow-up inspection would come back to check up on the carpet, but my inspection got lost in the mix. Jerry, the owner of Carpets of Arizona, saw my previous review and personally came out to assess and photograph the seams. He sent his son and the carpet installer to make the repairs. His son told me he has been working on a system to ensure he gets back to people on time because there has been so much company growth and some people fell through the cracks. I can understand that. It is legitimate. The most important thing is Carpets of Arizona did come out right away, and they fixed the carpet right away. They have also promised to come back if there is ever a problem in the future. Thank you Carpets of Arizona. read more

My wife and I got a couple estimates to do some flooring in our house. We wanted to do a laminate in the Kitchen and Family Room and Carpet in our Master bedroom. We ended up hiring Carpets of Arizona even though they were about $600 higher then our other bid, and I'm glad we did. Michael showed us a waterproof flooring that looks just like wood but holds up much better then Laminate. I couldn't believe it. Even our friends think it's real wood. I like the carpet my wife chose for the bedroom too. The thing that made them different is Shane, the owner, came out before the install and after the work was complete. It's funny, one of the things I like about these guys is they are a small family owned business , No One Over 5'6" We like to support local family companies so it was great to go with Carpets of Arizona. read more

Carpets of Arizona is the only place we will go! Great family owned business that treats you as an individual and makes sure they get it right for you. Extremely helpful and friendly during purchase. The carpet came in quickly and installation scheduling was easy and flexible. The carpet is so soft and higher quality than we've ever had. There unfortunately was a manufacturer defect with the carpet height not matching up right at a seam in our huge master bedroom. Carpets of Arizona confirmed the issue with the carpet, ordered all new replacement carpet, removed the defective carpet and reinstalled it beautifully at no additional charge to us. Adam stopped by that evening to ensure the new carpet was perfect. We'll use Carpets of Arizona for any future projects and will recommend to our friends. read more

Carpet Installers: I'm shocked at how great their installers were. The installers were nice, polite, professional, and really communicated throughout the entire process. My experience with Carpets of Arizona was great! Flooring Specialist, Monica Saunders was awesome to work with. She listened to what I wanted and never tried to talk me into anything, nor did she pressure me into any decisions. She was right on time for the measurement appointment. They scheduled the installers for the times I asked for. The installers were wonderful and didn't leave any mess. Due to remodel schedules I had to have two rooms carpeting laid on different dates, this was no problem. I would recommend them, especially the sales Monica! read more

We are raving fans of Carpets of Arizona! They installed our carpet through the whole house and did an excellent job. Michael talked to us about getting the premium carpet pad and he was absolutely right! This is the softest and nicest carpet we have ever had. 18 months later, we unfortunately had to cut into the carpet to inspect the slab. I wrote to the owner to get a quote for carpet installation. His reply was- "If you are serious and not just another scam then call us 480-558-9777 If you are a scam don't bother, I'm just going to mess with you but I'm a bit too busy for that right now." I found this quite offensive and as a business owner myself, I would never reply to a potential client with such a statement. read more
