Very cute shop!! Lots of seating in the heart of Snohomish. A nice menu with their own coffee, Scottie chai, and nutty squirrel gelato. Their pastries looked good too. Our coffee drinks were pretty good. I would come back to try one of their several flights.

I love the bright and airy open feel to this space. There are many seating options, outdoors and inside, comfy chairs, high and low top tables of varying size, as well as bar seating. They have Macrina pastries, and stylish glassware. And good coffee too!

Food and drinks were great! The employees made great recommendations to our group. Rio and Vinny were so kind and inviting!

Quality espresso with chocolate undertones, moist cookies (only pastry that we've tried so far) and more open space than any one person needs.

In my opinion, Push x Pull is the only shop I've found in Seattle that can truly compete with the best shops in those cities. I mostly drink cortado (a drink which leaves nowhere to hide) and Push x Pull executes them at a level I haven't found elsewhere in Seattle. The espresso is always dialed in, and the milk texture is ridiculous. The staff is also great. I frequently come in with my two young boys, who are not exactly known for sitting quietly, and everyone has always been incredibly kind and welcoming. If you're serious about coffee, go here.

Exposed brick wall and warm tones from the wood furniture makes this shop a cozy third place. A few indoor plants give it a fresh touch. The baristas here are definitely dedicated to their craft! Their drink offerings are standard, although they also have housemade syrups and specialty drinks (seasonal mochas, lattes, etc) if you want to try something different. I love how they highlight their single origin espresso on the menu with the tasting notes. They also offer matcha and teas if you're more into that. I haven't tried any bakery goods, but looking at the pastry case, they're quite popular. I don't normally drink coffee (I'm more of a tea person, if all the boba and tea shop reviews I…read morewrite don't say anything!), but I'm always up for new experiences, especially ones that allow me to expand my taste horizons and ability to describe flavors and aromas. After booking a tea tasting at a local tea shop, I went around looking for coffee tastings and found Victrola. Every Friday at 11AM, they offer a free tasting class, so we, of course, booked the very next Friday! Arriving at the shop a bit before 11AM, it was pretty full, with most tables taken and a short line of 2-3 people in front of me. We checked in with the cashier and he said the barista was getting things ready. Maybe 5 minutes later, we were led to the room in the back, where the barista introduced the tasting experience and handed us two sheets of paper, one with the anatomy of a coffee cherry, and the other with their coffee flavor wheel. For this week, it was only us two for the tasting, so we had a full monopoly of the barista (according to him, the prior week was 8 people!). We were able to try two coffees - both single origin, one from Guatemala and the other from Colombia. We started by sniffing the beans and grounds, with the Guatemalan emanating notes of lightly roasted peanuts (per tasting notes, it's milk chocolate, orange, and "elegant") and the Colombian with dark soy and umami notes (per tasting notes, it's pineapple, melon, and date), at least to my nose. The barista brewed both via pour over (if I remember correctly, it was 203F water with 20g of the Guatemalan, 24g of the Colombian in 360g of water). I forgot the exact grind sizes he used. Interestingly, the flavor profile of the Colombian was completely different to me between the grounds and the final brew. Very fruity throughout - I'm not that adept at description, but it's definitely a fresher, crisp fruit, not dried fruit, and not red fruit or berries, nor citrus. I'll have to file this one away as pineapple and green apple, per the barista. In terms of mouthfeel, it's thick, almost syrupy, coating the mouth with the fruity flavors. The Guatemalan, on the other hand, is completely different, starting with roasted coffee, then still with the peanut notes, but also adding a caramel-like essence. Very 'brown' on the color wheel. Mouthfeel-wise, thinner, watery like tea. I have never had good quality coffee before and this was certainly an experience that opened my eyes to how good coffee can actually be. I still have a ton of tea leaves to go through, but perhaps when I'm nearing the end, I'll have to start drinking more coffee. Tea, then chocolate, and now maybe coffee? My wallet is crying...

The vibe of this place and the people that make it happen every morning are world class. Life situations kept me from making my way to the shop for a year or so, but when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and a "it's been a while!" The coffee is reasonably priced and imo - best in the area. It's consistent and while I'm a sucker for the 12oz cold brew - I've gone off script a few times and have always been pleased. I've got family that comes into town fairly often, and almost every morning they ask to go because they think about it when they're at home in Chicago. There's plenty of seating, tho it's sometimes so bumping (because it's a great spot!) it can be hit or miss if you can stick around and enjoy the vibe. But generally I've had good luck over the years setting up at a table and chatting with friends & fam before a hike, enjoying the morning with my pup doing some socialization training or throwing a few emails around to my corporate overlords. I've seen ads for their evening events and have been wanting to make it to one, but I always seem to see the poster days or weeks after the event! Poetry nights in a space like boon boona seem like an unbeatable vibe, hope to notice & get to one soon. *Parking is also not hard to find at all. If I were hit by a meteor tomorrow, and then to my complete surprise and amazement were immediately…read morereincarnated as a croissant... ...I would choose to rematerialize as a Madison Park Bakery almond croissant. That's because, if my new life as a French pastry is going to last only about an hour or so before I'm lustily consumed (and perhaps then reincarnated as, say, an aardvark), I would want to spend that hour on earth as the very best of my ilk. Madison Park Bakery's almond croissants are that good. Let's put it this way...soon after trying my first such croissant, I had the opportunity to compare it with some formidable competition: an almond croissant from the world-renown Tartine bakery in San Francisco. It wasn't even close. The Tartine version was disappointedly average: chewy, little if any crispy crunch, uninspired filling, a bit dry overall and just possibly a tad on the stale side, (sure, it's possible that the fancy foods shop I bought it from, rather than from Tartine directly, sold me a day-old? If so, may you be reincarnated as a limp, overcooked asparagus spear!) In delicious contrast, head chef, Provence-born Cecilia Lystad's croissant is more like the Platonic ideal (not that almond croissants were a thing during Plato's lifetime, otherwise we might find them carved in marble relief on the Parthenon's facade): crunchy on the outside, clearly laminated layers (I think that's the correct term) on the inside--nothing like the croissant-impostering ponderous, dry sponges you might encounter, say at Oakland Airport late on a Sunday night. Poor Oakland...maybe you'll be reincarnated as Paris? And just the right amount of butteriness, sweetness, yeastiness. The generous amount of frangipane filling is delightfully jammy and tastes freshly-made, probably of almonds bakery-ground early this morning. What's more, this here dang croissant is paradoxically light and quite filling at the same time (don't forget, this is a supernatural confection--only the baker knows its secrets). While the pastry was half gone in about the amount of time it takes to say "yum!" I wouldn't attempt to eat the whole thing in one go. Half will satisfy you, unless you are a total gourmand or goinfre (look it up). Make a heroically disciplined attempt to save some for an after-dinner treat. Ancient disciplines such as Ayurveda, for instance, maintain we should cover all the major taste bases--including "sweet"--as part of every meal. I can only claim I've scratched the surface of Madison Park Bakery's other offerings (whenever I step in, the devil in my ear aggressively whispers "get the almond croissant, you fool!"), though the chocolate licorice cookie was nice in a subtle "adult" way, and their apricot-almond pastry was like the croissant reincarnated as an accomplished piece of folk art--almost too pretty to eat. As is their pistachio cream tartlet. Because I'm an artist (painter mostly), and a prime way I enjoy life is through the lens of appreciation for striking color juxtapositions, I would be happy to fossilize this tartlet and keep it forever on my countertop--what gets me is that minor key combination of whimsical pistachio green swirls married to the cool red of the fresh raspberries and fragrant raspberry coulis filling. Obviously created by a chef who has a sophisticated eye for subtle color harmony! Then there's her take on the French classic Gâteau au Chocolat. Imagine if a dark brown cow were able to produce milk the color of a shot of espresso macchiato, and that dusky chocolate milk were then hand-churned into dark chocolate butter...that's my best description of the main layer of this deep, dark and dense gâteau. It's meant for those who are in it for the chocolate and not so much the cake. That said, in the spirit of full disclosure, I'm an outlier among patisserie patrons: unlike most Americans, I don't really have a sweet tooth. And prefer to keep my teeth from going wiggly. My vote is always for intensity of flavor rather than sugariness. My ideal of a chocolate cake would contain not only no white flour, but also hardly any sweetener. But then, you're reading the ravings of someone who eats straight 100% cacao baking chocolate without grimacing in the least from the bitterness. Embrace and explore the bitterness, I say. Knowing is appreciating--could help explain the growing popularity of Italian amari, which I also enjoy. Hey chef, you can't please everyone. And shouldn't try, lest risk diluting what you do best. So keep doing it. Be inventive in a way that foremost pleases you. Bake for your own tastebuds and secondarily for your fans, not for your detractors. Judging by the lineup of eager seekers of excellent French patisserie and cuisine, my prediction (and I bet you a lifetime supply of your almond croissant about this!) is that if you stick to your guns you will not only deepen the loyalty of your core base of fans, but also grow that core market. Bon appétit!

I was delighted to see there's a bakery now, and not just Starbucks. I am very picky when it comes to pastries as my husband is from France, and I've been fortunate enough to be spoiled by French pastries over the years. I've been extremely disappointed in the past when trying pastries in the seattle area, even at some bakeries that are quite popular. As soon as I walked into MPB and saw their case of pastries, I knew I was in for a treat. You can just tell when the pastries are going to be GREAT. I ordered a pain au chocolat and a croissant. They were absolutely phenomenal. So perfectly buttery and flaky. FRESH! I really was transported to France and truly believe this is one of the best bakeries in seattle. Definitely has the best croissants and pain au chocolat out of any of the other places I've tried (yes I've been to all the top spots). The only complaint would be that they aren't open Mondays (but most bakeries aren't since they are open all weekend).
