I was in the area shopping and stopped at this salon for a pedicure. I should've read the reviews first. It was one of the worst pedicures I've ever received. It should've just been a polish change. The nail tech literally clipped the toe nails, rubbed lotion on my legs then polished the nails. It was over within 15 minutes. Waste of money. Needless to say I will not be back. Only come here if you are in desperate need of quick service and don't care about the quality or experience. read more

Good pedicure! I went Monday morning shortly after they opened and didn't have to wait at all. The salon seemed clean, they played HGTV on TVs and had county music playing. I got a gel pedicure and she did a good job and didn't take too long. She gave me a great, long lotion leg massage! read more

So I have been here a few times for a manicure and pedicure. The staff are straight to the point. They focus on getting people in and out. They have a variety of colors and may offer beverages depending on if they remember. The other location has you wash your hands before but they go right in. Risk is your nails may chip unfortunately. I tried two different brands and I have seen people coming back in with the same problem. I typically ask for sanitized items however if you don't I see them using items without sanitizing taken. Pay attention! This could be your life (infection, etc). You shouldn't have to ask. It can get crowded as it's a popular area. Good luck! read more

I came by for the first time with my mom today and had a great experience. They took us right away for a mani pedi. We felt pampered and well taken care of, everyone was friendly, and our nails look great. In addition, I accidentally dropped my AirPods when I was packing up to leave and they helped me find them! I'll definitely be back. read more

I had to decide to get my nails done last minute before the Holidays , and I had the S&S where they usually soak off, the girl tried to pick off with cuticle nipper them she cut me and I was bleeding. Then I experienced another worker talking unprofessional to his client that was sitting right next to me. I couldn't believe what I experienced. The lady next to me told the guy don't get nails, she won't be stepping back into this place. read more

Came for a pedicure because I'm having a very sad day. First girl was so awful i got up and said i no longer wanted a pedicure. The owners or managers asked me to stay and they would get me sorted. I received a gift certificate for VIP Nails at the Arboretum and was very excited to use it. That's where the good feeling ended... This salon is huge, like a fast service, in & out, not care about the customers kind of place. Very little time was spent on fingernails, a man quickly did them with very little precision or care. The girl who did pedicure spoke very little English, did not even try to communicate, and did a so-so job. The polish on both has started to come off, plus toenail polish is around the outside of my nails. With so many salons in Charlotte, and an excellent one around the corner in the Arboretum shopping center, I would say, "Skip this place!" I gave it a 3 but should be a 2 1/2. Meh. I gave them another chance because of the new management but the lack of hospitality and attention to detail still remain. This place didn't even offer me a drink! My pedi - mani was bad, after telling the tech several times to straighten them my nails are still crooked. Going back to my regular spot where I'm treated like royalty, the nail techs have experience, we have fun and the manager makes sure everyone has a glass of wine and water! read more

Nothing vip about this nail salon. My friend goes here all the time so I decided to give them a try. I got a 6pm appointment for sns nails and received a very rush job. You can see in the picture i posted that the middle nail has a spot and ruins the look of the entire right hand. I had a hatd time undestanding the nail tech. She only gave me two options to shape my nails square and square round!!! I wanted round no square involved but she still did square round. There is a reason why their management keeps changing and they have bad reviews on yelp. Stay away and save your money read more

Making an appointment is useless. An angry older woman with glasses yelled at us to go sit and wait in the seating area when I was just waiting for my friend to finish washing her hands. The same angry woman went behind the desk. I reminded her that we had an appointment when she took other people ahead of us. She said it was because we were 10 minutes late. There were no apologies or greetings--just anger. We felt like we were being punished. We were 5 minutes late and waited behind others to be checked in. She was rude. TERRIBLE customer service on her part despite years of frequenting the establishment. We left. read more

I went to this salon on 5/8/22 for a basic pedicure and it was very nicely done. When I got home, I realized the dried polish was sandy feeling. I just assumed polish was off. I went back next day and asked to have color redone and they said absolutely. One of the other employees (owner?) asked to look at it. Turns out I had picked a crackle polish and I didn't even know that was a thing. They offered to replace the polish anyway just to make sure I was happy but this was my bad so I did not. I loved that they wanted to make me happy with my look regardless that it was my fault not paying attention to polish I picked. Will go back for sure. read more

I went to VIP Nails on Saturday and got acrylic nails. Not sure if they sterilized their tools like they should, however I noticed three days after I got my nails done that my finger was very red and swelling. I concluded that I have a nail bed infection. I'm in a lot of pain and it's very disheartening because I pay a lot of money to get my nails done and this is what I get? Do NOT go here!!! I went here for SNS because I had been given a gift certificate. The nail tech was awful. He filed my nails way short, which I did not request. Then he literally drilled through the bed of one of my finger nails!!!! Of course, it hurt terribly and I bled. And the tech had the audacity to say it was because my nails were "so thin." I should have left at that point, but I knew it needed to be covered. But then he powder coated my nails thicker than I've ever seen. Even my cuticles and skin were coated. Now I have to go somewhere else to hopefully get my nails fixed. This guy should never touch anyone's nails again. read more

I'd give zero stars. I had an appointment waited almost 40 minutes. I kept telling tech John that he was too tough and the nails weren't uniform. He ignored me. Different lengths bubbles rough edges. Polish all over cuticles and sides. Awful awful job. I still tipped him 20%. Called next morning told to come in. Sat there for 30 minutes. I left. I will not be back. read more

So today my two daughters and I went to VIP to get our nails done. They were able to tend to two of us simultaneously and made my other daughter, who wanted SNS wait. Well, she waited and waited and waited while three, yes THREE other customers who came in after us were serviced. Had I. It been in the back getting my nails done, I would have said something. Unfortunately I did not realize what had happened until we got up to leave. Since my other daughter was STILL waiting, I opted to say something to the cashier, though she seemed unresponsive, so we left. Very disappointed! read more

For the second time I was ignored as a walk-in. I should have gotten the clue the first time that the nail techs here are oblivious to customers that are sitting in the waiting area. If they aren't paying attention to potential income then they probably couldn't care less about the quality of their workmanship either. Fool me once, shame on me...fool me twice shame on you. I've had fine experiences here in the past, however, my last visit will probably be my last sadly. The first woman who was taking my SNS off was digging her nails into the bottoms of my fingers soooo hard, it was painful. I always have my nails shaped long and oval. I asked for them to be cut down just a little bit (I said I wanted to keep the length just didn't want them to get too long over the next few weeks). Instead of clipping them on the sides to keep the length and shape, they were clipped at the top and from that point on, it was kind of a disaster and i just wanted to leave. I had to ask over and over again for little things to be fixed and he just kept filing, making them even shorter. Ugh. I left with a coffin shape (again, not what I wanted) and also the bottom of my nails were really thick and not done correctly. Another girl was trying to get up and leave in the middle of her service while I was there, and it seems like they are super understaffed. Also, while the man was finishing up my nails, he went over to another customer and used the SAME file and buffer on her nails!!!!! Umm ewwww! Anyway, I tried to file them back to an oval shape this week at home, but obviously it's not great. So disappointed! read more

I have been there a couple of times. I normally get SNS and haven't had any issues. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from and I have yet to have a nail crack. The employees are super nice and the salon is clean. I enjoy going there. read more

I went here and first off all they didn't dry My nails... this action makes living my life much harder then it should be second when they cut my nails they cut some super short and just left the others we asked for a regular manicure and instead all they did was put a little lotion and just rubbed it in.. VIP Nails has really been revamped! Very clean and nicely decorated. You must see for yourself. Lou (not sure if I spelled his name right) does an amazing job on my nails! I would recommend trying it out if you've never been before. I got a gel full set with tips for $40!!!!! Can't beat that read more

Nice atmosphere and hopefully, nice people BUT, my 10 year old wanted to get her toes done. The water was way too hot, even for an adult, as one of the other nail technicians confirmed. The nail technician that was doing my daughter's toes did nothing to cool the water. My daughter had to tip her toes in so she did not get the full experience. One of the other technicians said toughen up buttercup. Really??? She's a kid. My same daughter asked for a heart on her big toes. They could not do that; a basic design. After all that, we are satisfied with the way her toes look. We were overcharged $5. My middle girl-we loved her acrylic nails but they were put too far from her cuticles and it looks like she needs a touch up already. Not sure we will ever go back. We will definitely try out some other places first. read more

I had a specific design in mind and showed the nail tech what I wanted. I asked twice if he could do it and he said yes. Well lets just say I had to go back in and ask someone to re do it and I asked that it was not him- which I got him again. So he redid it whatever I moved on. WELL, that same night I got them done two of them cracked. I called to speak to the manager and no one would let me talk to them and said no refund was available. but I can come in to get it fixed. However, i refuse to go back to such a low quality business. a waste of money. read more

I got dip nails and they did the wrong color I selected a shade and I could tell the guy was estimating the color which I dont understand when they are labeled? I asked for brown and he gave me pink with shimmer (ik a first world problem and ppl make mistakes). however he did not use UV light which they claim you dont need but all the other places I have gone to use and my nails were noticably unstable and sure enough 2 fell off that night. This has never happened to me and they are supposed to last 2-4 weeks. called and explained and I asked for a refund and they said no they could just fix the nail. I know the other ones are probably going to fall off soon and they are the wrong color so I just wanted them off. just letting you all know because S&S is pretty expensive ($50+) if you are broke and young like! no hate to the staff or store just letting you all know, would def reccomend polished in waverly read more

Poor customer service! Our nail techs were terrible! Do not go here better off at Nail Bar at Stonecrest! I took my grandmother there to get a manicure and pedicure and they did not even help her get in the chair. They did not offer us anything to drink but offered the other Caucasian women complementary beverages. Definitely missed the old owners and will not be going back! read more

Used to love this place before Covid hit. Had my first after-Covid pedicure last week...it was awful. No foot/leg massage, used hardly any moisture cream on feet and leg, nipped my toe (drew blood) with pointed instrument, very hard and rough, hardly cleaned around toe nail, girl working on me had earphones in and was talking on phone while working on my feet. read more

I removed one star because my friend got regular polish that she needed to wait for to dry. Our pedicures were done before 7:00 pm and they were cleaning up around us and making us feel rushed. I chose this place because it's one of the only salons in our area open until 7:30. A worker brought my friend reusable flip flops but it was raining outside and they wouldn't have been able to wear outside. I removed the second star because my friend asked for cuticle oil and the worker refused. We had to beg for her to finally give her the oil. Also note that there aren't any TVs around the pedicure station so if you are going alone definitely bring something to occupy yourself.

They'd make you switch workstations just so they could take your chair, and they even took my dust collector in the middle of a client's service because they wanted to use it themselves. Her work is very messy, first off she ask if I need to cut down I said yes please, instead of using a nail clipper she use the nipper (which is for the cuticles) to cut my nails, which OK but then she filed my toes nail with a file she pull out from her apron instead of using a new file in the pedicure package. Next she started cutting my cuticles which she not really cutting because she was yanking my cuticles which it hurt and she started cutting the side of my toe nails which I don't understand why she did that because I do not have ingrown at all. But now she cut all the corners and side of my toes, which I left in pain because again she was yanking it out. Scrubbing the bottom of my feet she barely put any effort pressure to scrub my still rough. I'm not expecting to be baby but smoot than what I come in with. But no is not. Now is massage, I thought I would get some decent massage with a deluxe pedicure, but massage was no longer then 2 mins she literally just slap some lotion/oil on and that it. Lastly the polish l, it is very messy got on my cuticles and the polish wasn't smooth. The lady told me I shouldn't get White because my toes were short, well I told her I never have that problem before. I left with uneven and painful toes. I will definitely not come back or recommend. I did paid $60 plus 20% tips The price is fair but the the treatment I get for what I paid doesn't match up.

Out of respect for the technician (who I started seeing after I delivered my son), I will not post her name. My pedicure went well, but everything went downhill afterwards. I requested that my existing nails be soaked off. Instead of properly soaking them, the nail technician essentially ripped them off my nails. The process was so rough that my thumb began bleeding. She took a fake nail and slid it under the acrylic to remove my nails. She said "oh no, I'm sorry". What upset me even more was that instead of just apologizing, I was told it was because I have "thin nails." That is simply not true. My thumb was bleeding because my nails were not removed correctly. When I checked out, I spoke with who I believe was one of the owners to explain what had happened. Rather than showing concern or offering an apology, I felt dismissed and looked at as though I was overreacting. The interaction was demeaning, and I left feeling like my concerns didn't matter. To make matters worse, when I asked for my receipt, it was handed to me in a way that felt rude and dismissive. I have never left a salon feeling so embarrassed, disrespected, and insignificant. I can't say why I was treated this way. I don't know if it was simply poor customer service or something else, but regardless, no customer should leave feeling this way. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. I believe customers deserve to be treated with care, respect, and professionalism--especially when a service results in an injury.

It included massage, warm stones and paraffin. The gel is extra but well worth it to be able to slip your shoes on without risking a smudge. I also got a dip powder manicure in the same neutral shade (67). Most importantly I felt relaxed, peaceful and pampered. A beverage of water, soda or mimosa is offered. My brother went with me and he is thoroughly pleased with his "shiny" manicure. I highly recommend Bliss Nail Spa.

The one good thing was it was pretty chill for a Saturday.
