Came here on a dreary day and had an appointment. They have plenty of parking in the shared lot.. Waited another 10 minutes after arriving even with the appointment. They request you wash your hands before the appointment for sanitation. I got a pedicure and it was the worst pedicure of my life. First, the jet in the foot bath broke and started SPRAYING ME EVERYWHERE. I jumped up, the guy who was about to do my pedicure apologized, and it was fine, other than me being soaking wet. But the pedicure was not great, he didn't do a great job polishing my nails, and there were a few things that are listed for the pedicure that I got like a paraffin wax and hot towels while the lotion soaks in that he skipped. The massage was also not great. It ended up costing $80! They didn't give me any sort of discount or compensation for being literally soaked all the way to my chest by their foot bath. I will never be going back and I highly recommend not going there. read more

Complete scam. Shoddy work. Pedicure was poorly done. What would usually last 5 weeks starting breaking apart and chipping within days. Took forever to explain to nail technician's what I wanted and they seemed to not know the difference between gel polish and sns dipped powder. Which they should know the difference. Even the owner Tony admitted that the sns powder they use only lasts a week. Though sns pwder at other nail salons lasts around 4 weeks. ALOHA NAILS uses cheap materials and products. Nails that only last a week are not worth the price. Waste of time. Waste of money. It's not worth the money. They should NOT have received any recognition or awards for this place. The acknowledgement they have received is misleading others and scamming people. Save yourself the time, money, and hassle and go somewhere else. Really struggled with whether to post this or not, as I've always been a loyal customer of Aloha, and Have been impressed with sanitation during Covid. First, let me mention that they are independently owned - not connected with Rea farms. My 16-year-old daughter and her friend had a terrible experience yesterday, consumer beware. They made my daughter bleed when she specifically asked not to have her cuticles cut, and her friend had SNS all over her hands. The technicians were rude and told them to be quiet and still, even when my daughter brought to their attention she was bleeding and it hurt.! It was brought to the attention of management - they dismissed the entire situation to a "misunderstanding" and language barrier. As you can see from the pictures, misunderstanding or language barrier have nothing to do with the service they received. I sincerely hope that they are able to make some staffing adjustments to bring back the level of service they once had. read more

Used to be better. Not sure what's changed the last 4-6 months but will go elsewhere from Now on. My last time there I got a manicure and a pedicure. They didn't soak my hands at all for the manicure, and the technically was very quick with the massage and rough with the cuticle trimming. The pedicure was even shorter than the manicure which typically isn't the case! Barely any massage and lots of polish left on my skin afterwards. From the time I sat on the chair til the time they were done painting my nails was 20 mins. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

My review is based on my first impression and how I was handled as a new customer. I walked into this place and was immediately turned off as it's super small and tight. You have to walk around customers sitting at a semi round table getting their nails done and basically squeeze pass to make it to the front desk to check in. I looked down at the list on the counter and added my name for a mani and pedi. Have been to this salon bi-weekly if not weekly along with bringing a lot of business. Up to this latest time on Friday everything had been fine. During this last visit, the salon tech cut my cuticle (bleeding) and said nothing. No apologies nothing. Before completely drying i noticed the gel nails were raised a bit but she said it was normal. That evening, the gel was peeling. I called and spoke to the gentleman that works in the front and asked me to come in the next day. I've been going to aloha for awhile and always had an amazing experience especially with Pam. This past Sunday I used a new person and she ruined my nails. I went back to talk to the manager. He told me I would have to pay for a new service to have my bails fixed. This is very disappointing! Not going back due to customer service! My nails were sanded down so much she made them paper thin which I told her they were to think. She disagrees with me and then my nails hurt. After 2 days my nail tore off. So upset!!!! read more

I've been a loyal customer at Aloha Nails for the past five years. Over that time, I've been in probably 100+ times to have my "solar nails" (aka pink & white, aka acrylics, etc. nails) put on, taken off, or maintained. Today, I'm finally dropping my review from 5 stars to 2 stars. The sole reason? I can't go between visits without these weak nails breaking completely, several times over. When I first started going to Aloha Nails, I was also training for a century ride, as a cyclist. I was impressed so much the first time I was pumping up a tire and the inflating hose blew off, slamming me in my hand. My nails didn't suffer so much as a crack! But for the last four months, I'm finding that 2-3 weeks in between visits isn't enough for me to keep these false nails in even DECENT shape. Since December, I had about four major nail breaks. When I go in to get my nails redone/repaired, fixing the breaks is often painful, with them wedging the gel/material off my nailbed using another sharp-edged artificial nail. Now, I've had artificial nails for months on end, and what I can tell you is that the nailbed under the artificial nail is EXCEPTIONALLY sensitive! So, basically, every visit has featured some amount of pain since December. This last visit, I found that my pinky nail just flew off while I was closing a car door. Not even hard! I visited today and the woman re-did my nails, cutting off the length. I saw a crack on my right thumbnail and figured she'd repair it before letting me leave. She finished her work, and I left. And now here I am 3 hours later with a chipped thumbnail because she didn't bother to repair the nail! My nutrition and body hasn't changed wildly since December, but nails from here are cracking and falling apart right and left. I don't know what they've done differently, but I'm seriously considering a new nail salon for my next visit. Very disappointed. EDIT/UPDATE: I received a very kind note from one of the owners of Aloha nails asking me to return so they could take a look at my nails and figure out what was making them break so easily. I appreciate the note, and have added another star because they DO care about their customers being happy, but I've chosen to return to my natural nails after this series of breaks. read more

I have been going to this salon for a while and I really enjoy the young lady Sydney that does my nails and her sister Linda, but every time I have gone there, it has always been something wrong. The manager is extremely nasty. The 1st time I had to wait beyond my scheduled time because they overbooked her, the 2nd time they overbooked her and someone else had to do my manicure, and today I went and the manager tells me they had to send Sydney home because she wasn't feeling well but yet no one thought enough of me to call me, and when I asked him why he didn't call he said because we were busy, but uet he was standing there checking in. Awful! Girl kept cutting into my nail bed and cuticle and just laughed and said sorry. But did it repeatedly. The top of my toe is scratched from the pumice stone. Rushed me to get in the pedicure chair before I could pick out my nail color and then yelled at me for not having a color picked out. So many other places to go, stay away from this place! read more

After calling to make an appointment, I was glad I did. I arrived around 1:00 on a rainy Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. After a recent bad experience with a gel manicure, at another salon, I decided to try old school acrylic nails. I was seated, asked if I would like a drink, and received an amazing manicure with acrylics! Although the place was packed the manager/owner managed the appointments and walk-ins very well. The manicurist did a great job, shaped my nails very well, and asked me if everything was okay before proceeding. The service was great and I found the prices to be very reasonable for what they offer. I definitely look forward to my next visit! read more

I have been a LOYAL customer for years at this Blakeney location and extremely understanding of all of the challenges that Covid has made with staffing. However, the owner can at least be able to thank people for their business, acknowledge and apologize when they made a mistake and lastly, not throw change owed to the customer on the counter. First time there and probable my last. I paid extra for the volcano spa treatment and was told all about it up front. Well, I did not received all the extra time and massage treatment as explained to me. I also had regular polish applied and really was a sloppy job compared to what I have gotten in the past at other places. ( my nails can't handle jel or SNS) When I asked if this is acceptable they tried to tell me this is what happens with regular polish, that next time I should do gel or SNS, it would look so much better......really. I have been coming to Aloha Nails in blakeney for years. Today was the first time I had ever broken a nail. I get sns dip and it's on my natural short nails. I walked in with my kit and asked if they could repair the nail. The owner asked me did I have an appointment...I was very surprised. I asked who Makes an appointment or Plans a broken nail. He told me to come back in an hour. I begrudgingly came back because the corner of My nail was gone and honestly it was catching everything I touched. I sat down and within 1.5 minutes I was done. I just needed it filed to match. When I got up the owner was even more rude...he looked at me and said I mean you could give him a few dollars. Granted I was gonna do that anyway but frankly I'm Just sick of his attitude. If there's someone who cares about this guy is representing this business maybe have a conversation with this guy. She payed very good attention to every detail and clearly cared about my nails unlike other nail techs I have seen at other salons. She was also very polite and patient. The best way to describe my experience with this location is "meh". My experience with other locations of this local company was much better. My technician was good and clearly well regarded by long standing clients. But I was never asked what type of pedicure I wanted and was given the basic when I would have upgraded for higher. Usually they ask and expected they would, but never did. The client next to me asked for upgraded service and was told her technician could not do upgraded services. To me, it was clear they decided to err or productivity and clients served vs servicing clients how they wanted to be served. Also foot bath was cold. I asked to make hotter and they did something, but really didn't make hotter. Not a great experience to have a cold foot bath. Probably won't go back to this location again based on my experience. Went on a friday evening to get a regular mani pedi,was quite disappointed with my experience mostly because of the nail polish options and quality. When i was trying to pick a color, most of the nail polish bottles won't open because they were dried up and were sitting on the racks for I don't know how many years. Most of the polishes that did open were so thick and i saw a couple of the manicurists adding acetone to make it usable. The color in chose was almost done and ofcourse they didn't have another bottle so over all my mani pedi turned out sub par. Have been here approx. 6 times now. First visit was great! Always go for a Pedi & SNS. The pedi chairs are way too close together. Owner stresses me out, just watching him patrol the techs. Constantly pacing the floor to see how long the techs will be, before they can put another body in the chair. Totally gives the feel of a "sweat shop" environment. There's nothing "spa-like" about the place. I go to relax and unwind and leave there feeling like I need a drink!! Most importantly, the gal that does my Pedi's "Van" is awesome! Super sweet lady, great leg/foot massage and does great work! However, the SNS Tech "Lan", has blown it for me. First time, she was great! She does nice work but, this last visit...is now my last! Her attitude is unreal! They give you this monstrous "cake tower" looking stand that has all the SNS colors. She gives you a whopping few mins to make a selection! My last visit, she went round and round with me and kept asking "what color you want today? More pink? White?). I asked her repeatedly to please bring the color samples. She tells me "they don't look like the real colors. They are faded!" She then brings me some random pink powder, opens the lid and asks if I like it??! I tell her "I can't tell by looking at powders. PLEASE bring me the samples!" I now have the warming mits on each hand. She begrudgedly brings me the sample tree. My reading glasses are off the the side and I give her a look like "how do you expect me to hold the tree, I've got these mits on." I then ask her if she could put my glasses on me so, I can see the colors. She then shoves the sample tree inches from my face, thinking THAT will allow me to see better. I couldn't WAIT to finish my service and get outta there! I should have asked for another tech at that moment but, I knew it would be my last visit. For as much as these services cost, customers want to relax and be pampered. This experience, has been the furthest thing from anything along those lines! My last regret is that I didn't ask the owner to give the entire tip to "Van"!! read more

Honestly this place is very good and well kept, but I only downgrade it because my nail tech did not do a very good job. He did not want to be there, rushed his time with me and when he was filing my nails they were all jagged and crooked. The color was good and the dip was nice and smooth not lumpy like some other nail salons do. He kept looking around as if he was embarrassed to be doing MY nails because I am quite young but I wouldn't be doing any less of a job just because of someone's age. Anyway he started to get a little rough towards the end. At the end when it was time for the sugar scrub, he was scrubbing so hard it was hurting my hands but I didn't say anything because I didn't want him to do anything else wrong on purpose. Everyone around me seemed to be having a good time with their techs because they were talking and getting to know each other, while it was awkward with my tech. The only conversation we had together was when he was asking what color I wanted, and when he told me to wash my hands. I also didn't think the prices were reasonable, because my mother and I ended up spending about a hundred dollars on SNS dip and of course an additional fee for drinks. Anyway I hope this was helpful to anyone out there and I'm not looking to downgrade this place at all but I think their staff could use a bit of work... that's all read more
