They have 100s of colors including my fave cat eye options and they keep up with the newest, healthiest trends. On my nails I have the NEW T.A.P. Hybrid gel! It feels and looks so natural but is sturdy enough to last 3+ weeks. I'm rough on my hands at work and Jane makes sure she applies the right amount to ensure longevity. This was my second time at Glossy Nails Spa. My first experience was so positive that I wanted to return. Kim was my technician today and I got the Deluxe Pedi. This was probably the best pedicure I have ever had. Pedicures have always been a treat for special occasions like birthdays so I don't get them super often. However it has been a goal of mine to be more intentional with self care and after my experience today, I will definitely be making future appointments with Kim and visiting Glossy Nails Spa soon again in the near future. I chose this nail spa based on its high reviews, lots of pics, and because I was in the Matthews area when needed a pedicure and fresh full set. The salon had a nice aesthetic, TVs on, good music, and several technicians working. It is very spacious. They have a lot of pedicure chairs and desks available for the nail techs. I came as a walk-in and was serviced immediately. I loved that they had a pricelist readily available, and the checkout process was extremely easy. They gave me a very clear receipt that also included an automated percentage options for the tip. This is exactly what I look for when I go to nail salons. A lot of nail places will up charge you and give you ambiguous prices that's different from what they have posted. But this business was very fair. I got a basic gel pedicure, soak off and SNS dip with a gel polish. My pedicure was great, it lasted about 30 to 35 minutes, but I didn't feel it was rushed. A technician also worked on my nails in preparation for a fresh set so it was nice to be serviced by two technicians for efficiency. The only thing I wish I had information on before getting the dip powder are the different options available. My natural were very long and I was hoping to do something where I could preserve my nail length and get refills every month, which is not possible with the dip powder as it requires a soak off each time. My nail tech and a gentleman working there told me about builder gel which is what I will get next time. Although I'm not 100% satisfied with the look of my nails, (due to some extra polish and skin left around the nail, might also be the layering of this specific gel color and the shape being too big), I am 100% satisfied with the service I received and their business. My nail technician took her time while being efficient and she did awesome. I will return to this nail salon again because their service was amazing and there was no wait. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've had 2 trips to this salon once to get a regular sns manicure which turned into me getting cut with a nail file during my appointment. And the 2nd time today for a regular gel manicure and a regular pedicure. It's a busy Saturday morning and I waited in the pedicure chair until one of the techs was available to get to me (which was completely fine). And while I'm sitting there they didn't even bother to turn on the water to start letting my feet soak. Then Jenny comes to start the pedicure and she automatically filing my toe nails and trimming my cuticles while they're DRY and to my surprise I look down and my toe is BLEEDING. This was my second and last visit to this salon. The fact that some of their technicians are so careless with trimming and filing nails to the point they make the customer bleed is careless and UNSANITARY. Not to mention the instruments they use are sitting on their carts not in a sterilized bag. Nothing like having unsterile instruments digging into my bleeding nail beds. Also when asking for a "regular pedicure" I've never had to specify to my nail tech that I wanted to soak my feet in the water so you're not clipping DRY CUTICLES. I came home to try and clean up around the toe she cut and it's still bleeding almost 5 hours later. Hope that I don't get an infection! John responded within minutes with availability for 2 days later. When I arrived at Glossy Nails, I was greeted by several people, John included. I confirmed my appt, picked out my color and proceeded to the pedicure area. Glossy Nails is professional but friendly. They offered drinks, had plenty of tvs, and a relaxing atmosphere. I went to Glossy for the first time yesterday. This was my former salon, which opened under the new name Glossy in June. The technician was personable and did a good job with the manicure. Also, the interior aesthetics are much improved. I was happy to be back in my comfortable salon space until.... I went to pay for my services. I was notified that the salon upcharges for all credit/debit card transactions. If you pay cash, the upcharge doesn't apply. They also offer a $30 incentive off for all customers who schedule services at the salon after five visits, based on a stamp card. This only applies to those customers who pay in cash as well. I found this very off-putting. Many people don't carry cash. I found this to be a questionable business practice. I have never experienced this at any other salon. My first thought went to taxes. Too bad my experience had to be marred by this business requirement. You can do better Glossy! read more
