Midtown Nails is incredible! I have gotten both gel and SNS manicures and they have been amazing. They last for at least 4 weeks, I have to get them redone because they are grown out but the polish itself has not chipped. Every employee they have does an amazing job and you cannot go wrong with who you book with. I returned to Midtown Nails after the pandemic started to allow us to go to salons again. It was my first time back in awhile but the staff is as friendly as ever. The owner greets everyone by name on the phone and when you walk in the door. It's a very warm and welcoming place. The conversations are always great with the other customers and everyone is very friendly. I have always made an appointment at this location and strongly recommend you do the same because they are a smaller salon and do no have a lot of staff. If you're looking for the extras like wine, and mimosas this is not your place. Personally, I like they don't have you waiting for your appointment and they don't rush your service and will help you with color selection and make sure you are happy. read more

Midtown Nails has become my go-to spot after abandoning Embassy Nails in the Cotswold Shopping Center. I didn't have a bad experience at Embassy or anything, I just happened to swing by Midtown on a whim one day (it's about half a mile closer to my house) and really enjoyed the experience. Their gel manicures seem to last about 3-5 days longer than others and I almost have to try to screw up the polish from a pedicure. Service is always quick and SO friendly. The nail technicians remember me and what's going on in my life, asking how trips were, how wedding planning is going, etc. They have a huge assortment of colors. So many that I often need 10-minutes to choose my polish. And, as if all that wasn't enough, prices are competitive with all the other salons in Charlotte. read more

This is a very nice nail place hidden almost down a side street. It's In a small shopping center. They have a large selection of nail colors and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and attentive.I went in on a week day and they have no wait. My pedi looks great. The establishment is clean and it was quiet. The peace and quiet was very pleasant. It's nice to not hear back ground conversations. Overall I recommend. I recommended they get a punch card system or reward system for this's who visit often. First time here, I am from out of town and I would definitely recommend this nail salon. Very friendly and my nails look fabulous!!

I've been going here for a couple years but recently had a terrible experience. There was a new guy that ended up doing my pedicure, and he cut my nails down so short that it was painful during the entire process! The big toe on my right foot was practically bleeding it was so short in the corner. The owner even offered to put some acrylic there to hel but in the past when I did this it just fell off after a week or so. Not sure if I'll be back! Updated picture 2 weeks later. It was my first visit. I made a reservation for my daughter and i at 5PM and arrived the wrong day. Mai was so kind and I had one of the best salon experiences I've had since arriving in Charlotte. This is a laid back, comfortable salon with great service. My girl and I get mani-pedis here because even guys need to be pampered from time to time. It's off the beaten path, but close to Pizza Peel, so if you feel too froo-froo afterwards you can pound a couple of beers until it wears off. The prices are reasonable and they're super friendly over the phone which makes scheduling appointments a breeze. I've always had great experiences here. The owner is so friendly and tries to remember customers' names. She always shows me the new colors they got in and helps me pick out just the right polish. The employees engage customers in conversation (if we want it) and I've always had great manicures and pedicures there. They are professional but also very homey. I've been going here off and on for 3 years. The last 2 times I got fills, they were clumpy & uneven. Okay technicians. Good service. Recently I went there. I had a $50 pedi. I decided to tip $15 (30% since my feet were a mess. When I checked my statement, I realized they charged me $70. Not the amount, it's the principle. This salon does a pretty good job on nails, but I would only suggest going if you are going alone. Every time I have gone with someone else I have had to sit and wait while the other person gets their entire mani/pedi/whatever and then they have to wait for me to get mine done. Means I'm there for like 2 hours every time! It's not really that crowded but they only have 2 or 3 people working there and they take a long time per person. Again, they do a great job on the nails so I can't complain about that. But it truly does take forever and they don't let you know ahead of time that you will be waiting this long. read more

I have been looking for a local nail spot since I moved from south end and I am so glad that I came across midtown nails. They had an hour wait when I went in on a Saturday, so make sure to make an appointment, especially on weekends or during busy hours-but they were very accommodating. Took my name and I came back an hour later after running some errands. The ladies here are so friendly and really talk to you and get to know you while you're getting your nails done which is an added bonus! My nails came out great and lasted just over two weeks! I love trying new nail places and Midtown is right next to my work. It's tucked back next to Shun Lee Palace and off the main road. It's nothing fancy, no frills, but a nice salon. They have lots of polish colors and even combined two colors for me to get the natural appearance I was looking for. The technicians are sweet and I loved my gel manicure. It was difficult for another salon to get the gel off, but that's how you know it lasts and was quality work. Their prices are comparable to other salons and I will be back in the future! read more
