Went in for simple French pedicure. Kind of got into a back and forth with the person doing them because she only wanted to use gel polish stated it was the only way to do a French tip. I had to have someone else come and do the French tip but it was overall pretty unprofessional the exchange. Just so strange to argue and try to pressure a client into a service that they just don't want. In my case gel--I'm glad I'm a confident person because someone else would have probably been pressured into getting something they didn't actually want. My manicure experience was vastly different with the artist confidently able to do a simple French tip with regular polish. After all the pedicure did end up being overcharged than what I was initially quoted when I scheduled online but at that point I was too over the whole experience to complain even more. But although this place is literally in my neighborhood. Unfortunately I won't be back. read more

I went to this place after complaining to my classmate about trying to find a great nail spot. He recommended this place and it didn't disappoint! Best mani I've had in the 3 years I've been in Charlotte. She was patient and gave me exactly wanted I wanted, a simple clear gel manicure with flesh tone hues. 3*= A OK I called and set up an appointment for my husband and I for pedicures for his birthday. We arrive and I had Jaelyn and he had Sabrina. Sitting side by side, it was obvious that I received better treatment over my hubby. I mentioned several times that it was his birthday. And he had the more expensive pedicure. I paid for the Nirvana for him, and he didn't get the extra 15 massage it comes with. He should not had been finished before me so soon. Sabrina didn't talk to him or ask him anything really. Not even offered him a drink. Even when I tried to get her to talk to him about both being from NYC, it was over real quick. He said it appeared she didn't want to service him. On the contrary, Jaelyn was kind and warm. She kept conversation with me, asked me if I wanted something to drink and made sure she was careful working on me. I also got a polish change on my nails. I'm a stickler on polish application. Toes are great and my nails are 95%. I'm not sure if I would make this my go to place quite yet. I need to visit again to see. I'm visiting the area and looked up some nail salons and I will say this one stood out. These massage chairs are amazing! Tons of settings and can even massage your bumpa! The people there are also hellla nice! I went with a friend who had never gotten his toes done before. Our techs were jaylen and Juliette and both did an amazing job. Only think I would say is that for pedicures I'm used to the massage part a little more. Like the soles of my feet, the instep my legs- toes pulled, etc. Not too much of that occurred so I got in the car and cracked my toes and rub my feet more. So overall aesthetically toes look good! This was my first time visiting Nirvana Nails. One of my friends is a frequent customer here. Her nails always look amazing, So I trust her. I booked my appointment online with Lae. I got an SNS Manicure. My original shape was square, however one of my nails broke, Lae Suggested I do almond shape (this was a first for me) to keep the length. I don't think my nails have ever looked more beautiful! I am truly impressed with Lae's work, she knows a lot about quality nail care. This salon is clean, and beautifully decorated. I live in south Charlotte, I found this place easily. There's a small parking lot to the right side of the building. Also customers can parallel park on the street. I had a great experience. Unfortunately, I wasn't pleased with how my nails turned out.. the paint had chipped off, nail beds yellow (no I don't smoke, don't try me bb) & the nail was SO thick. (My nails chipped within one day of visiting) I was hesitant to visit this place because of the lack of reviews & already spending 350$+ on nails this month but I absolutely needed them done so I took a chance. So glad I did. When I walked in, Lei looked at my nails and said we could salvage them and fix them! I was totally fine with paying for a new set, but I appreciate that she didn't try to upsell me on a complete set and put my needs first. Really great customer service that made a really good impression on me. They took their time with me, talking me through what they were going to do + why the nails ended up the way they did. They made my nails so beautiful, perfectly shaped and shiny - exactly what I wanted! I'm so thankful that they were able to help me when I walked in with a mess. Will absolutely be back, they're super chill and I love the relaxed vibe. It's a clean establishment and the Owner is so nice (so is the tech I worked with) I can tell the Owner really knows her shit & I love the fact she takes time to teach the newer nail techs tricks/tips. It makes me a much happier consumer knowing employees are happy at their establishment. After 3+ years in the neighborhood, I'm so excited to finally have a great nail salon. One of my nails broke a little over a week after getting a full set and I called to have my one nail fixed and they told me they couldnt fix it unless I got a full fill. I let them know I don't mind paying but I just need my one nail fixed and they refused to fix it after I paid $100 for a full set. I love this place. Friendly staff, VERY reasonably priced, and I've always left happy with the quality of service. I've been about 5 times and it's always consistent. I do a basic pedicure and, because I do my own gel polish at home, they remove gel polish while I get my pedicures. Nothing fancy but they always deliver! The fact that I live right down the street and can walk here is icing on the cake. They have an easy online appointment scheduling option, too, which I like. read more

I sent my wife and well behaved 10 year old daughter to this place in our neighborhood so they both could get manicures/pedicures for Mother's Day. I checked the website to make sure kids were ok and found it clearly stated that children under 12 must be there to receive services and not just hang in the waiting area. When they arrived, they found one patron leaving and the place empty otherwise. The attendants rudely told them no kids and to leave. My wife stated that she was there with our daughter to also receive services and referenced their policy on the website. They rudely replied, no kids contrary to their own written policy. Kind of mind boggling to turn away two paying customers when no other clients were there. Guess they won't be around long. Thanks for ruining my wife's Mother's Day. Do yourself a favor and find some other place to spend your hard earned money. read more

The girl giving my pedicure told me she would rather be home and in bed asleep. It didn't seem like she really cared about her job by the way she talked and by her ability to give a good pedicure. I know it's gross, but I want my feet to feel fresh after a pedicure from all the cleaning they went through. My feet did not feel clean. She didn't clean under or around my nails very well.
