This business is on class pass so I made a reservation through the app with credits. I went Saturday afternoon and they were not busy at all. There is a parking lot and a parking deck where I found parking. It is upstairs. The facility is nothing fancy, the pedicure chairs are massage chairs. They have a TON of polish options both gel and not, so that was nice but I found the bottles to be sticky when searching for a color. I wasn't rushed when picking a color which was nice. It was HOT inside. It was an 81 degree day at the beginning of April so maybe they weren't prepared for that yet (they did have fans on) but I was extremely hot. They had the radio on so some commercials played, not constant music. I wasn't offered a drink or any beverages. The nail tech was rough on my nails and feet, there were several points I was uncomfortable and even wondered if I might bleed. I do have cuts on my toes after. She did do a thorough job with a nice leg massage including wax treatment. My nails looked really nice afterwards. It took about an hour for a gel pedicure. read more

I booked a mani-pedi through ClassPass. Based on the reviews and the fact that there wasn't many recent reviews, I was skeptical. My husband and I both had appointments booked an hour apart. My appointment started before my scheduled time., and that was good because that meant my husband wouldn't have to sit around and wait for me for an hour. My pedicure and manicure were really good. The foot and arm/hand massages were good. The foot paraffin was good. When I took off the nail polish from my toes, my toes were not discolored or infected. I did use tea tree oil after the pedicure. Service was good. The two women working were nice. I would go back again. read more

Still on a search for a clean, good quality nail salon. Ugh... I called ahead and they said come on in no wait. When I got there 4 minutes later the 4 women working were all in the middle of a service, so I had to wait. They used a very odd scraping method to remove my gel, then started clipping off areas at the top of my nail where the polish didn't come off until I said something. Also ugh. Then they had a rush and hurried the end of my service. Three days later I already have a shipped nail. read more

The service is TOP Notch, wine, champagne, bottled water, great customer service in a very prestigious area which I live in & appreciate.. SO I THOUGHT until I was DONE My nails chipped in 2days (Shouldn't happen with a 2 week manicure), I noticed the polish was SUPER thin which means they put polish remover in it to stretch it which ruins the integrity of the polish. They also use scrappers on the foot, WHO DOES this STILL??? The Pomice should be used for skin on the food to avoid skin peeling. It took about 3 hours to get a mani and pedi when I ALWAYS go to Nail Trix in Columbia, MD and get the BEST Gelish Mani and PEDI on EARTH and it takes no more than 1hour and 30minutes and it truly last 2 weeks... read more

Sitting here at 1:20 waiting for someone to be free for a manicure - made an appt for 1 but i dont think they care. No one welcomes or even acknowledges when you enter - ive had bad experiences here before but at least they have drying starions which so may other places don't - no idea why i came back except its on my way home from work read more

This has always been one of my favorite places for a mani and/or pedi, but today sealed the deal: favorite in Charlotte. I brought my out-of-town Aunt here for a pedicure, and I had a mani/pedi. Here's why it's the best: option of drinks; thorough massages for both mani and pedi (I mean she even went up my arms to my shoulders!!); wax for pedi isn't an up charge, it's included; their selection of OPI and Essie colors; professionalism of staff; cleanliness and fresh decor (fresh flowers at each manicure table). The lotions and massages were never ending, which is the best part of any nail treatment. Actually, the best part was for a mani pedi (gel on hands, normal polish on toes), it was only $65. That's about the same as anywhere else, maybe slightly more. But DEFINITELY worth it!! Caution: they only accept Visa and tips of cash. read more

I haven't come here in a while, but all experiences have been good prior to today. The woman I got had an attitude to shape my nails straight. Uneven shapes are good for her not me. I had cut she would be rough with. I had to constantly remind her and pull my hand away. She asked me if I wanted something to drink, but never asked to get me anything lol. The service felt rush and my patronage felt unwanted. Top top it off how do you leave with a fresh manicure and have a hand nail. I would so love to tell the owner of the property of this distasteful visit to their establishment. read more

I have tried this place a few times since I work in the same village and each time I'm very dissatisfied! I've had a nail chip, fall of and not an even paint job...I want to add it's not cheap either, $70+ with the tip.....very disappointing the quality they show for the price you have to pay, will not be back. I guess I'm used to services in another city, but I wasn't impressed. Yes, they were busy, but the person who started my pedicure wasn't the person who finished it. The ladies working there spoke only to each other and avoided eye contact. I'm not an insecure person, but it was pretty clear they were talking about my friend and me, as they did our pedicures. In my city, the paraffin treatment is given by putting the paraffin liquid wax in a plastic bag that you put your foot into, them sit with it on for a bit. Here, everyone sticks their feet in the same paraffin heating basin. Maybe it's not a law or requirement in NC, but if you think about it, it's kind of gross. I'm sure the heat must help, and usually feet have been cleaned and soaked before, but it just isn't a good idea for anyone and everyone to share. The pedicure was okay, but no topcoat to protect it made it vulnerable to chipping within a couple of days, when I can usually go for over a month and my toes still look good. If I lived in NC, I would find another place. read more

Sadly, another salon that when doing gel polish will not paint down to the cuticle. Therefore leaving a line between cuticle and polish. I was told they could not paint to the cuticle. This makes no sense, other than providing a service that is actually a week of wear...meaning you will need to go again sooner to get your nails re-done because they will have grown out and that line is double. Completely disappointing. I will not return and would suggest this consideration before visiting. read more

After receiving a somewhat disappointing hair service, I walked next door to Ballantyne Nail Spa to improve my mood. The salon is very attractive with lots of natural light flowing through. I was received upon entering the salon and then started looking for a nail polish. I had a manicure and pedicure service performed simultaneously which was overwhelming for my senses. I could not fully relax and enjoy either service. That was the first and last time I will ever have a simultaneous service. The technicians were friendly, attentive, and beverages were offered. The technician helped me decide on my nail color and I am glad I listened to her because the result was beautiful. The price was great for the additional services I received. If I am in the area again and in need of a mani/pedi, I may stop in but for separate services. read more

I went to the Ballantine nail spa today for the first time this morning . What I can tell you is that Don't expect a hello or a thank you at this place no curtesy what's so ever. They were all busy on their cell phones!! They use a lot of products which is the only nice thing the message was weak!! At the end She used one coat of polish and that was it. My toes need to be polished again. Very disappointing. Terrible service!!! I will not go back. read more

One word to describe this shop " racist". I had an appointment at 5:00 today however they took the young white girls that came in a group that had no appointment before me. I looked around and all the women in the shop were servicing the group that came in after me. They literally left me in a chair waiting 15 minutes and no one ever came over to start my fill-in. My money is just as good as anyone's else but clearly they feel otherwise. read more

Be prepared to be here a while because their mani/pedi's take a little while but oh are they worth it! Hands down the best massages (and really that's the best part of a mani/pedi to me). They take their time and I've always been happy with my results. The only reason for not giving them 5 stars is because they do use thinners in some of their polishes to make them last longer, however, I can usually tell if I get one of those with the first coat (it'll look super thin) and always ask for a third coat to make up for it. SN: They also have a really big gel polish selection, which is nice! read more

I went here one day on a whim. The regular manicure was 15 dollars and they did a great job. The pedicure station looked great and I would love to give it a shot next time. The only thing I dislike is parking being so difficult. You must park and walk up a few flights o f stairs. The offer complimentary beverages and my polish lasted for about a week. read more

Hands down best mani/ fill in/ pedi's I've had. It's more than just a nail salon they make you feel like family. Not only do they do an amazing job but they take their time with every client making you feel like your the only one there. This is the first place I've been to in NC that doesn't up charge you for every little thing, their basic pedi comes with everything! Massage, paraffin dip, foot scrub, foot mask etc. are all included and at a great price. I highly recommend everyone to try this place out!!! read more

Expensive but nice. Its quite and you get your money's worth even though price is high as far as the pedicures go. The manicures for a gel fill are nothing to write home about. Too thick kept lifting. I wont be going back tho, because I found a cheaper place that does a better job. read more

Horrible experience. I took my little girl for some much needed mommy/daughter time. we both wanted a simple mani/pedi. They only had one person working on both of us at the same time and it took 2 1/2 hours! Yet so many other customers were coming in after us and they received a person who only serviced them. The work was sloppy and my daughter was very unhappy with her mani/pedi and mine is very mediocre. Worst $100 I've ever spent. read more

Just keep in mind that they do not take walk-ins close to closing, even for simple services, so it's best to plan ahead. Overall, it's a good nail salon in the area, and I love that they offer drinks like wine, soda, or water during your service.

It was so-so. I had a sculptured set and it took almost three hours - never had that happen…read morebefore. The nails weren't done well at all. some were crooked and they were SUPER thick. I also think they overcharged me bcz it cost a lot more than what I was told. I ws so exhausted I didn't even boher to question. Won't go back though.
