After going to many, many nail salons in Charlotte, my friend recommended that I try Nail Gallery and I have not stopped coming here since! Holly and her sister always make sure that I leave happy, even if that means doing a nail over again. I appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment and the customer service provided by all of the staff. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish I discovered them sooner! read more

They do good nails here, but the customer service is terrible. The first and second time I was a walk-in and got excellent service. The third time I came in around 1pm and was turned away due to stating they had 2 scheduled appointments for the day and was booked. mind you they close at 7pm so they had plenty of time. Two weeks later I came in because my now fiancé stated he was planning a surprise for me. With literally two customers in the salon was told the same thing, that they were booked and busy. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and went in today and was told the same thing again. At this point I was frustrated and disappointed. This time I asked "do you have to schedule an appointment at this salon or do you take walk-ins because every time I'm coming in... I'm being turned away and told to return another day" due to previously I had walked in. I was told, "yes, we take walk-ins but we have consistent customers and it's best to call first to see if we have an opening". It came off like, "your business isn't really needed" and I felt undervalued as a frequent customer. If you take appointments only please state that and place a sign on the door. Customers shouldn't get a run around everytime they come in your salon. It was very unprofessional and it came off as rude. I decided to go to nail bar at Arysley instead. Polish nail bar is good as well. And to think two weeks ago Nail Gallery almost ruined my engagement, because my nails looked horrible. My fiancés surprise date was a proposal! ARYSLEY NAIL BAR saved the day!!!! Thank you Arysley Nail Bar! Do not go to Nail Gallery if you ARE a consistent/ frequent customer and need a same day appointment/walk-in or looking for exceptional customer service. If they are short on staff they need to hire more people! As a consumer, I shouldn't have to suffer or be turned away for their lack of hiring. Don't go here!!!! Never again!!! read more

So I've been looking for a permanent home when it comes to my nails. This place was a reference so I thought it would be great. First, I had one young lady working on my nails. I wanted the coffin shape. She cut the actual tip instead of shaping them. She was a little worried about selling her lip products then my nails. Then someone else started on my nails. Didn't look over anything just went on where she left off. My nails were all different shapes and sizes. On some nails the acrylic was thick and not even. A week later one of the tips literally popped off like it was a press on nail or something. I'm not sure if the acrylic was old or something but i ended up losing 3 nails and it wasn't even time for a fill in yet. It's sad because they were nice and I really thought i had a permanent place. read more

They do not do a good job at sns manicures. They do not completely remove your old sns . They rush through everything. Keisha did my nails some time ago and I got an sns mani and my nails were textured! They were bumpy as if I had wet nails and touched a cotton ball and painted over them after that I vowed never to go back there. read more

This place is filthy. I know that most nail places are kindof dusty from all the nails being done, but when there are multiple pieces of dusty paper on the floor behind the pedicure chairs that your clients sit in, someone isn't doing a good job of "cleaning"... and let's face it folks- basic cleaning doesn't cost a dime. There are old, dirty fans and machines sitting all over the place along with random boxes of gloves. The floor is old and filthy with worn places from the pedicurist chairs rolling back and forth. The brown columns look either splattered with white paint or they're dinged up and showing the drywall from being rolled into a thousand times by the pedicurist chairs. The front waiting area is old and gross despite the sheer curtains and fake blooms hanging in glass balls from the ceiling. There's a small throw rug under the nail polish wall that looks like it hasn't been moved or cleaned since they opened their shop! There's large dust chunks along the front glass wall behind the sofa so it never gets cleaned but can be seen by everyone... The "display" cases are all dusty too... either clean them or get them out of the waiting area because they're making your place look run down. I guess this was ok when they opened, but a serious CLEANING and visual overhaul is LONG past due here. I'm just not impressed with old, mix matched flooring, dust, or clutter. read more

If I like a place, I go back, several times. I like this place. Friendly environment, friendly staff, good prices, and good quality. I enjoy their pedicures. I've had a deluxe and a regular. They lasted a good amount of time and of course felt amazing. You feel like you are among friends with the staff, professional yet friendly. read more

Love this place. I'm from Pennsylvania where the winters are very harsh. Consequently, my heels are a cracked mess. This is the only nail salon that uses a electric buffer to remove the dead dry skin. I go here every opportunity I get when I come to visit my son and his family! read more

I've been here a few times over the years, so obviously they must be pretty decent if I continue to come back. I really enjoy the deluxe pedicures that they offer her. I'm hard on my feet ( I walk barefoot, don't wear socks often) so the detail they put into their pedicures is A-1. I've been to many nail salons in the area and have yet to to find another salon that quote does nails like them. I originally found out about this place because I was always complementing a former coworker on her french manicures. One thing that I have noticed, they don't serve beverages here like other establishments in the area. Here, there are certain people who do nails and others who do pedicures. The girl I had today actually remembered me from the last time, so that was really cool. I'll be back for a pedicure and hopefully one day to try their nail services. read more

If I could give one star I would. The owner Sandy and her sister Holly are so rude. Went in for a pedicure and they offer only certain people something to drink, which is what they do most times rather than asking everyone. This most recent visit, Sandy yelled at a client in front of everyone for asking a question about how her nails were being done. Then as soon as the lady left the salon they openly talked about her in front of everyone. No class. Rude and disrespectful. After all, a paying client has the right to ask questions don't they? This was my last time spending hard earned money at a salon who treats customers this way. I have been several times and noticed the rude behavior. They only seem to be pleasant to the regular customers whose names they bother to remember. There are too many nice nail salons in the area where you can go without listening to people being disrespected and gossiped about. Aren't nail salons supposed to be a relaxing environment? They are also limited in the services they offer. No new techniques or nail designs. Only boring gel polish colors and old school designs that you can only get with regular polish. SMH read more

Second time my mother had a horrible experience. First she was cut real bad on her toe, bled and swelled up to two days; they completely disregarded the incident. The second time she returned because its right around the corner from us. This time she was told to sit and the chair roll off and she fell bad. They didnt even help her up and or nothing! I've been attending this nail salon for a few months and I've always made an appointment. Today, was by far the worse experience that I've ever had at a nail salon. For starters, I made an appointment with the nail tech Sandy that I always see and when she saw my nails she said who did your nails (she said it as if she was stating they looked horrible) and I said you did, at first I thought it was a joke until I realized how serious she became so I told her to check her appointment book. I could not believe that she couldn't remember who I was and I see her two to three times a month! Sandy began my fill in and as she began to file she accidentally took off the lower portion of my nail, so I let it go because I saw that she began to fix it. However, she was going to leave that fingernail shorter than the rest of my nails and told me that she did not have time to fix it because it was going to take too long and she has another appointment. Then she told me that she was not the one that had taken the lower portion of my nail off and that it was already that way, which was a complete lie because I watched her do it. I was so upset I just paid my bill and left and she walked off into the back and did not reappear until her next appointment that was already running late. She offered no apology and did not offer to even lower the bill. I went to another nail salon to have it repaired, with no issues. I would give this review no stars if I could. I should've learned my lesson from two weeks ago when Sandy hit my cuticle with the drill and left a huge scar on my nail bed that still has not gone away! I let it go because it was a mistake, but for me to have given this salon another chance and I have a worse outcome the second time I will NEVER go back. I have had to deal with attitudes from Sandy and I would let it go thinking that she's having a bad day, but you just don't treat people that way. I have received terrible customer service at this location and I advise anyone thinking about going to this salon to think twice. I have been nothing but nice to them and did them a favor by not getting upset in front of their clientele in the salon because I did not want her to turn the tables around on me and make it seem like I'm causing a problem. Even when she was in front of me talking bad about the situation and saying how she felt. When you run a business and you make a mistake OWN UP TO IT and don't mistreat your customers!
