I started working at ANB for about 3 weeks now and I will say that the new owner, Kim, is one of the best bosses I have ever had! She makes sure that the customer is satisfied with my work and that I'm doing my work correctly! All the the clients that I have taken on have not only been nice to me, but after explaining that I'm fairly new, they are very patient and pleased that I do take my time on their service to make sure their nails are perfect! I keep all of my earnings and the pay is great, compared to my previous jobs! I would recommend ANB to everybody that I meet, including licensed nail technicians. Found this place on yelp and decided to book an appointment for myself and my daughter. We had 5 o'clock appointments, and when we arrived, we were both seen and work had begun shortly after my daughter received a gel manicure with a design. I tried this place out today and would like to say that I am extremely pleased with their Service! I've tried 2 other places in the last 2 months off S. Tryon that I didn't have great experiences with from a nail quality perspective. I was able to book an Appt the day before. My wait time was minimal and while awaiting the Tech I scheduled with who was Kim, one of her colleagues was able to get me started to take my existing SNS powder dip color off. Their variety of Gel and SNS colors is overwhelming in a great way, so much to choose from. All the staff was very pleasant and the music playing overhead was upbeat. I had a request for a shape change from slightly square-ish to almond and Kim did it just to my liking! She also recommended a little glitter accent for the holidays and it came out great. This place books up fast from the people calling trying to get in on the same day with a specific Nail Tech, so I definitely recommend making an appointment. I haven't written a bad review in years, but here I am! First off I made my appointment at 1 in the afternoon and only two women were working. I had to wait a while and actually started to look at other salons which looking back I wish I had gone to another salon. I came with a Gel-X set on my hands and wanted them off and a gel manicure. Simple right? At this place - NO! Firstly one girl swear I had acrylic I said no it's Gel-X and I know the difference. I've been getting it for years. So after waiting for some time one girl began working on me. I had to tell her to cut the Gel-X down instead of filing so much, like acrylic. Then I asked to soak me instead of her trying to file my nails down so much it hurt. After I spoke about this she walked away and exchanged words with the other woman working. I didn't bother to learn any names as I didn't tip (I always do) and knew I was never coming back here. The second woman took over my gel "manicure" which looked awful as the end result. I mean the color was all lumpy and uneven because she DIDN'T buff my nails. Which she claimed isn't part of the manicure. I've gotten so many manicures in the past and buffing the nail was done EVERY SINGLE TIME. I was annoyed at this point because what do you think makes the color apply smoothly?!?! So she buffed them AFTER I complained and my nails still look trash. I'm taking this off ASAP. I mean both women were just completely incompetent. Don't go here. A very nice salon upon entry. They definitely have inconsistent work, depending on whether or not they're busy. If a salon is too busy to do great work, they should not accept more walk ins. I have been on a search for an amazing nail shop for what seems like forever. This is it, y'all. Seriously. This is it! It's convenient to my house. The staff are pleasant, talented and punctual. The prices are incredibly reasonable. The hours are great. They have beverages (water, white and red wine). There are multiple televisions. I can't say enough good things! The first time I came in, I made an appointment with Ny. When I tell you that she did an amazing job, I am not kidding. I left on cloud 9. She worked on me for maybe an hour and a half at the most and my nails looked fantastic. I couldn't stop staring at them! (The first pic is before they were all the way cleaned up. I was so excited, I took it early. lol) The second time, I bruised one of my nails and I had to make a quick appointment to be seen because it was so painful! I had a limited time window because of some prior engagements, so I checked online and saw that Kim was available, so I booked with her this time. She got me totally together on the Christmas tip! We were in town recently for a Birthday celebration and had an appointment to check out Ayrsley Nail Bar. We arrived on time at noon but our manicures did not start until 12:30. Our party getting manicures did get to sit together but it was very cramped. Personally my experience was the best out of the three which I was thankful for, shout out to Kim. One of my friends got a tiny cut on the finger, blame the hang nail we were told, and the other friend got a mediocre paint job. Out of all 3 of us, the nail filing experience was just okay. I love to get pampered just like any other gal, and Ayrsley is my favorite place even though they don't do the best job with my fingernails. The inside is cozy and nicely decorated. They are clean and always use liners in their pedicure baths. They offer you free refreshments, wine, beer, soda, water which is a nice bonus while waiting and getting mani/pedis. Every time I get a pedicure here, it's amazing. My favorite part is the massage and they always spend extra time massaging. So pedis and free alcohol are my favorite parts. I'm very picky about how my fingernails look, and usually I have to fix the shape a little. But the real negative is the gel and SNS always seem to peel really early on. When you're paying $50 for SNS, it needs to last longer than a week. read more

I love getting my nails done here with Kimberly! She takes her time, yet she is quick and thorough when I get my SNS. I haven't spent more than two hours here (when getting my nails and toes done). Kimberly also teaches me the best way to keep my nails and toes healthy and attractive which is what I love the most. They are a bit pricey, but that is to be expected with SNS. On the bright side, this salon has one of the widest ranges of SNS colors that I've seen! They offer waxing services as well, but I can not attest to thar yet. I would not recommend going here. I had some old hard gel polish on and the the nail tech I had did not know how to take it off. Another nail tech had to try to get it off. He also mistakenly gave me water to soak my nails in instead of acetone so he practically shaved off all of my nails. I also had a small tear at the bottom of my nail on my pinky but it was easily salvageable. He shaved off so much that he cracked it down the middle and took my entire nail off thinking it was the polish. They did not give me a discount or anything. read more

They charge $20 extra for gel polish on toes yet have no dryers. So ghetto and not worth what they charge I expected the price because of location but they quality of work was disgusting. They weren't even that clean I didn't bother asking for wine. If I had time I would've went to cachet for a much more professional and luxurious experience. Though my pedi is cute it was nothing more than basic. I've found my permanent nail spot! I've recently moved to charlotte from Brooklyn, ny. Nail ART is pretty big there and until this point, I hadn't been able to find a place that's rivals my favorite Brooklyn spot. Prior to my first visit, I called and asked about their prices and the gentleman informed me that I should come around 2:30pm. When I got there at 2:30, I was anticipating that I'd have to wait since it was a Saturday afternoon and I didn't have an appointment, but I was immediately seen! I was shocked by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the shop, and the fact that I had two nail techs work on me at the same time (one doing my pedi and the other on my fill-in acrylics). They asked me if I wanted to book with someone else and I was hesitant, because I had gotten my nails done with another girl there and they came pretty bad. But I was in a rush, so I went ahead and booked. Long story short, I regret that decision. I got a full set and while the nails themselves look alright, the paint job is sloppy. My cuticles look sooo terrible - she didn't clean them at all and the paint on top of them made them look 100X worse. She also made random personal calls while doing my nails - especially annoying when my nails came out so messy. I spent $37 to go home and redo my mails myself. Got my nails done here when I first moved back to Charlotte a few months ago. They did a pretty good job but I made the mistake of going during my lunch break and was there almost 2 hours. Seems like an extreme amount of time being that I was getting a fill-in and not a full set. I also believe I was over charged. When I asked why it cost so much I was told that there were various charges for simple thing such as cutting my nails down, filing them, etc. Things that you typically aren't charged for. I paid around $75 for SNS fill in. Maybe these are the typical prices in Charlotte but in VA I paid $40 for a fill and $45 the first time. People were constantly coming through the front door and they seemed to have a lot of staff there to accommodate which as a customer I appreciate. Got the acrylic manicure with gel polish and pedicure with acrylic on both great toes - they charged me an extra $20 for the gel polish on my toes! They also charged extra to cut down the length on fingers and toes. These people nickle and dime you for everything. My final tally was $100 - wayyy too much for all the bumps and ridges in my nails. I went to the Ayrsley Nail Bar a few weeks back while I was in town for a wedding. I made an appointment earlier in the week as I knew I would be on a tight schedule. The reason for my less than desirable review is because my $65 gel manicure didn't last even one week!! After 2 days, 2 gems were already off. After 5 days, 3 of my nail colors came cleaaann off. I wish I lived in North Carolina because I DEFINITELY would have gone back to have them redone. Unfortunately I do not, so I had to pay for another gel manicure in my city. Quite unfortunate.
