I only had one request, to spend some time on my foot arches where I keep a lot of stress. She understood what I wanted and focused much attention there. $50 for an hour is underpriced in my opinion, and she was appreciative of my $15 cash tip. I was not asked to pre-pay as some claim have happened. The room was pretty comfortable and mostly quiet, although I did wear some earbuds planing my own relaxing music. I paid cash so I can't say anything about credit card fees some people have mentioned (although it seems a lot of places are now pushing this charge back to the customers).

The smell was the crock pot burning. The masseuse then asked if I wanted an essential oil to diffuse the smell. The masseuse opened the essential oil. You go to work for the morning, drive an hour to the airport, and then sit in the most perfect posture possible to not cause further pain for, not one, but two delayed flights. When I tell you that Dylan and Balance Massage saved my entire trip, I mean it wholeheartedly. My sister was so glad to see Dylan had availability to save my shoulder and neck, because she is fully aware of how I get when I have muscle pains. I booked a 90 minute hot stone massage, and Dylan put in WORK for all 90 minutes. As an avid massage enjoyer (I have held memberships with different massage therapy companies for the past 5 years), I truly believe this was the best massage I've ever had. I mentioned to Dylan that I get massages every month and that I would definitely need the deepest tissue massage possible - he delivered from the first minute to the last. Especially with 90 minute massages, therapists need to take a break from the deep tissue and work on hands and feet and other more gentle spots. But Dylan understood that I needed my neck and shoulder to be normal again and mostly focused on my problem areas for the entire 90 minutes. I wish this was my primary massage spot, but I will absolutely be returning the next time I visit Fort Mill!
