I will say this isn't going to be like any of the big chains in the area. You are in a room with just a curtain and can hear everything. As someone who knows the benefits of frequent massage, I try to go regularly every 4-5 weeks for relaxation and to relieve any tension I may not be aware of. After searching a bit for a local shop in Charlotte area, I came across Golden Sunflower and they offer acupressure massage!!! I was excited to try as I have sporadic pain associated with lipedema. I booked a combo of 1 hour acupressure and a 1 hour facial. It was nice and quiet inside and everyone was kind and friendly. I was welcomed and felt like my business was really appreciated. I was immediately walked back to my room, which had two tables, one for massage and one setup for facials. Great! The massage was phenomenal. The Masseuse checked in throughout to be sure the pressure was ok. We worked on everything I knew in a few days I would feel different! The facial was amazing. I was cleansed several times, exfoliated, and double masked! My skin was glowing when I walked out! I went on a Thursday. Experienced a little soreness as expected later that evening and a little on Friday. I made sure to rest and drink extra water. Friday evening into Saturday nothing hurts. Everything feels loose and limber and for once my legs and arms feel lighter! Can't wait to come back to visit! Not impressed at all. I went for a foot and leg massage. The chair/bed they had was uncomfortable, the massage wasn't very good and the guy worked the same spots on my feet and legs so long it because annoying. He never worked on my heels, ankles or the backs of my calf muscles. I also am having an allergic reaction to a lotion that was used. The prices aren't even close to accurate online. It ended up being $60 and then if paying with debit they added $3 and then I felt like I had to leave a time. It WAS NOT worth it. They have signs up saying to be quiet but the. I've been to many of these places, I thought my massage was good. I got 60 minutes for $65. The lady did not skimp on time, and set a timer. I've been short changed before at other places. They were able to cover me as a walk in on a Saturday which was appreciated. The massage was very solid, not the BEST I've receieved, but much appreciated for the money and short notice/walk in. They did not get nasty with me or demand a higher tip either which I appreciated. I tipped 20% for a job well done, the standard in America. I'd go back! read more

Came here for a 90 minute couples massage. Very clean and good prices. There was a steady stream of customers. We booked very last minute on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to fit us in. If you are the modest type, I would recommend you keep your undies on. My butt was uncovered a good amount of time. I was fine with it (did not feel uncomfortable or I would have spoken up), but just want to let others know. The rooms have curtains for doors and the walls don't go up to the ceiling so you can hear conversations in the lobby and whatnot. They set a timer so you know you are getting the full amount of time you paid for. I saw bars attached to the ceiling over one of the beds so I think you can request for them to walk on your back. I was violated by an employee and was checked out by the same employee and was basically begged for a tip literally he kept saying "no tip?" After touching my breast (which is illegal) and taking my hand and subtly placing it on his erected penis. I left after paying and called later to to speak to a manager who asked me to come in and speak with the owners who literally screamed at me and treated me terribly and said I must be lying because I tipped him. It was my husbands birthday and we did a couples massage it was a nightmare and after being assaulted I was screamed at!! I have been here 3 times and today was the worst massage I have ever had in my life. When I first arrived the older lady pointed me to a room and gave no instructions.She came back in and asked why I didn't undress. I asked her for a blanket or something to cover up and she said "take off and lay down" while rolling her eyes. When she began to massage me she was VERY rough, so rough that I flinched up and said "that hurts!" she told me "no english" I asked her to get somebody who does so that they can understand me. Just had a great massage here. Ask for Lee. I've been to a lot of these and a good one is hard to find. It is a legitimate massage establishment. I tipped $20 because it's all I had. I will tip $40 next time. I believe $20 is fair (please correct me if I'm wrong) but it was that good. I work long hours on my feet, and have been exercising a lot. Do NOT rely on the prices they have on their website. I did and was told After my massage that the website was not correct and she pointed to a board behind her with higher prices. I told her that I came in because of the (lower) price on Their own website, but she would not have it. She kept pointing to the board behind her saying that they had increased them. I told her that the website price was all I had brought (plus tip), and honestly by this time I didn't even feel like tipping! been to this place a couple of times coz it s close but I was never impressed. massage is ok but not anywhere close to a professional level . the rooms are open on top with no doors just a piece of cloth and they constantly make noise outside and talk loud that kinda ruins your mood and way of relaxing. I visited Golden Sunflower Spa this morning and while the massage was wonderful and the space was very clean, I was disappointed that the staff barely said 5 words to me. Most places discuss with you your current pains/specific areas to be focused on, when put into the room o wasn't instructed on what to dress down to or if I were to take my jewelry off or anything (thankfully I have been to massages before so I knew.) I would definitely return but as I said I just wish more communication was used before. read more

Went here last month for a massage. It was very good. The person who did my massage was a man and very strong. It was more like an accupressure type of massage which really helped me. Going back again soon. This place is small and in a strip mall, but don't be afraid, it's a legit massage place. You keep your clothes on which is better in my opinion. read more
