When the pressure was too intense and I said so, the massage therapist quickly adjusted to a slightly less intense method. A few times questions were asked about preferences to ensure that my massage was delivered to my own liking, and I very much appreciated that. The chopping and the knocking is not for everyone. The warming on the massage table was welcome, and I was very comfortable throughout the experience. Safety would be a concern however, as I never signed a waiver, filled out any forms to disclose any personal information or pre-existing conditions that may impact the massage. I'm used to filling those out and noting any areas of pain, prior surgeries or medical diagnosis, etc. Was never asked if I have had a massage before either that I recall. Price quoted over the phone was $90 for one hour, matched the pricing displayed on arrival and was the price changed. Pricing displayed under the table that you see when you lay on your stomach was older, should likely be removed.

Then when I paid with a card and was going to leave, very sore and dissatisfied and I get "You pay tip in cash?" I was about to just keep walking but I gave her a $20 and then get "This is for one?" No, that's to show you how poor of a job you did. If I'd had a $1, THAT would have been the tip.

We got to the room and stripped down and had an alright massage. The ladies would ask us our preference for the massage and I needed it softer at times and harder. We were also given the lavender oil option for $10 more to which we declined as the regular oil sufficed. The downside is there was no hot stone like I'm used to getting and the ladies talked to eachother laughing for probably about 10-15 minutes of the whole massage. Sometimes they would whisper but I wanted to relax and just hear the sounds of the music. The massage oil was also on the other side of the room instead of them having it nearby so they would have to stop at times and walk all the way over to reapply. We still tipped them $20 each but next time I would do single massages to avoid conversation during my paid time. I'm glad I could finally stop by and experience it after always driving by it my whole life but for the price I could get a better massage in New York.
