Believe the hype. If you're looking for your new go-to esthetician - this place was surpassed my standards. So as a newbie to the world of waxing, I scheduled an appointment online (SUPER easy) and booked a time with Tayler. The spa is conveniently located and has some parking available. When entering - the decor and vibes are super pretty, very clean and the staff was professional. They specialize in more holistic and natural beauty treatments - versus the harsh chemical based treatments. My esthetician mentioned Sugaring to me - since I had some concerns about irritation after waxing, so I decided to give it a try. Tayler was SPECTACULAR and super patient and professional. Not only did she do a spectacular job ( my skin is as smooth and bald as a baby's bottom) - but she was informative, patient and very gentle as I was freaking out a little from the pain. She really educated me about the benefits of sugaring vs wax, some other treatments I was interested in and made me feel comfortable when I arrived super scared about this service. She's been working in the industry for years now and I was super pleased with her and her service. I booked another appointment with her and will be visiting her for all my beauty needs. My appointment with Esthetique went really well. I arrived early, checked in and was offered a drink. When my esthetician (I think her name was Christy or Tracie, I couldn't really understand what the receptionist said) finished with her previous client she brought me back, explained how to get ready and started all within 5 minutes. She talked to me the whole time to help keep me distracted which I appreciated. I've gotten a sugaring before but of course since you're pulling hair out by the follicle it's gonna hurt. She was completely done within 25 minutes and explained to me the proper after care. I had a spot that was slightly more sensitive than the rest and then told me what I could do to at home to help it; all of which told me she was experienced and knew what she was doing. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the price. It was pretty expensive and they don't have a lower price for maintenance appointments like most places. I'll definitely have to space out my appointments if I stay at this pace which is unfortunate since I really liked my esthetician. Also it was a little difficult figuring out where to park. They recently moved locations and for the new place I had go make a u-turn around the median and turn to go behind the building and there was a little tiny parking lot. The building is a house so it doesn't stand out as a business or spa. I'd recommend they get a more permanent sign to go closer to the road instead of the tri-fold stand they have almost in the bushes. All in all I really enjoyed my experience. read more

Long overdue review!! I've been seeing Tayler for a little over a year now, and she has done wonders for my skin!! (And confidence). I was dealing with adult acne (I had bad acne as a teen and went on accutane, but it was coming back in a mild form - just enough to not feel comfortable leaving the house without makeup). Tayler was able to truly tailor my services to what I needed, and recommended a couple products throughout the skin clearing process (one of theirs plus another inexpensive product from Sephora that is a serious game changer). And now my skin seriously glows!! I am so thankful I found this spa and how great Tayler is. Also a plus the facials are always extremely relaxing - became half the reason I kept going after my skin cleared up probably after 3-4 months after seeing her once a month. She's the real deal. Her room is comfortable, the table lifts up which was so great for me considering I'm preggers. So I didn't have to lay on my back the whole time. She offered me cold water and a lollipop for discomfort (which I didn't need) but that was nice. I was going for the Sugaring but she suggested waxing until after I deliver and I was cool with that because she did a bang up job. I mean she was really thorough. Like really thorough. I got a Brazilian (sugar) wax and Debbie was very sweet and explained everything to me. She did a wonderful job talking to me and the tone of the room was calming. It is a very peaceful environment, smells wonderful, and is very clean. Once you make it upstairs you have a little waiting area. Well, Esthetique lived up to its wonderful reviews! I went in to try sugaring Brazilian for the first time after ~6 months of hard wax appointment. I loved it! Deborah was extremely thorough and got literally every single hair!! I haven't had this great of a wax ever!! For those new to sugaring: rather than big strips being torn, sugaring is more smaller tugs. Obviously still painful but I think it's better than wax. As Deborah said, it's the lesser of two evils. She made me super comfortable and I loved how clean the studio was. She recommended a few products only after I asked about them, so I didn't feel pressured to buy anything. She even said to finish using my current products and then ask about trying the new ones. I made my appt through yelp - it was super easy! The young lady at the front desk was lovey as well. She was friendly, conversational and professional from the moment we met. She treated my eyebrow tint with care, checking with me to make sure I was happy before she moved onto shaping. The hard wax brow shaping service was awesome-it was nearly painless and my extremely sensitive skin barely turned red. We started a bit after our appointment time, but she narrated what she was doing (i.e. "brb, client in there about to leave. // going to clean up then you can come in") so I wasn't left wondering. The place is upstairs inside Poza Salon in case you're an unsure first-time visitor. Just wait in the chair upstairs, and Deborah will come out to greet you by name. Conversation was easy, and she's very thorough. She plucked out any of my shorter hairs that the sugaring couldn't get out, and even took out a couple ingrown hairs that had manifested. Visited this lovely salon/apothecary on April 7. First off it is in this adorable old house on East Blvd. It smells amazingly clean and fresh inside and is super inviting. I was having my legs sugared for the first time. I can remember my girl's name ( sorry), but she had short blonde hair and was super sweet. She was extremely accommodating and did an amazing job! I did have a tough time finding it as the sign out front is small. Also make sure you are driving in the west direct of East Blvd so that you can park in front of the shop. read more
