After looking for a place to get my nails done in the SouthPark/Carmel community, I remembered the nail salon by my neighborhood Harris Teeter and CVS. I read reviews and saw great work. I called to schedule an appointment for today, though they conveniently have online booking. They fit me in at my time and it was wonderful. They are ensuring Covid safety by taking your temperature upon arrival, operating with masks, and working behind plexiglass safety shields - even for pedicures. I my nails look awesome and the owner was so friendly and funny. My tech paid extra attention, even when I bumped a nail while it was drying and immediately corrected it. Im so tired of this type of nail place that accepts you as a customer and says they can serve you immediately and then makes you sit and wait for HOURS. My daughter and I got a mani/pedicure and they promised we would be served immediately. They did my nails and ignored my daughter. She took over an hour plus more than me. I've been going here for years and always receive a good pedicure. Everyone that works here is nice. I don't always make an appointment, but I did today due to COVID-19. There were only a few people there when I arrived. They took my temperature, required masks and kept everyone separated. I felt totally safe. My only comment is that the chairs are getting old and look pretty bad, they work ok, it's just an appearance thing. read more

I have been going here for a few years but lately, it has been a disappointment. This is the last straw. Got an mani-pedi yesterday and my heels are still cracked and rough. They cut my toe cuticle and I have pain and inflammation. I had to intervene, as the manicurist tried to roughly hand-file the gel polish off my nails rather than take the time to soak them. Then the polish was too thick and she had to redo them because they wouldn't dry. When you talk to them, they act like they don't understand, but I've been going there long enough to know they do. I could go back tonight and show them my heels and the toenail redness, but they don't care. I'll find a new place. D O N E. read more

Just visited Elegant Nails today (Carmel/ Quail) for pedicure and manicure. It was a wonderful time to sit back and relax with all the amenities they offer beyond just the advertise products. Things like bottle water and chairs that massage your back while receiving service make it so comfortable. Also the overall atmosphere including tv's, quiet music, and just good old conversation make you feel at home. Very friendly staff willing to make sure you are pleased with the service. Dropped my 13 yo daughter to get her nails painted fir a wedding last week. While i went next door to buy dog food they upsold her on gel nails charging me $50.00. All she needed was a simple painting. 5 days later 3 fell off and most of the rest cracked and she had to remove them. Terrible read more

I am writing about Elegant Nails on Colony Rd. location. I have been going there since I moved to Charlotte in July.. I have been very pleased till the other night--Wednesday the 17th.. I walked in and no tables for the manicures to be done on-- Ok, So I sit in the pedicure chair - the nail tech girl-(someone I have never had before) was a mess- she drop so much of her equipment onto the floor- never cleaning afterwards- she filed my nails so short. Also some of the prep polish was put on one hand NOT the other, I had to ask if I could wash my hands before applying the color polish- she was a train wreck- the polish job was awful.. I know the situation was not the best BUT what got me was the price I was charged ... The manager usually does my nails -- I have No idea why I was sent to this newbie-- Not sure if I will return... read more
