Had a great experience today getting a gel manicure with Tim! I'll talk about the safety precautions they're taking as well as the actual service! 1- I went during phase two of NC's reopening during the covid crisis, and I couldn't have felt more safe! My sister and I made our appointments (it's appointment only right now) and waiting outside until our technicians were ready. The inside of the salon is large and tall, allowing plenty of room! They had every other station blocked off, plenty of hand sanitizer, and plexi-glass in between you and your nail technician. I saw an employee wiping down stations with cleaning solutions after every client as well. All employees and customers wore masks and It felt extremely safe. 2- Tim did an AMAZING job on my nails! The service was thorough and he took his time to make sure that they looked great. It was $40 before tip, which is very reasonable for a gel mani. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, and the salon itself is very aesthetically pleasing. It is light and open with LOTS of stations. (Obvi all the stations aren't open rn bc of the pandemic) I'll definitely return to this location!!! read more

Decided to cheat on my current go-to salon (Anthony Vince Nail Spa), so wandered over to Cachet Nail Boutique! As expected from a South Park nail salon/spa, Cachet was exceptional. With its stark, striking, all-white decor, with gold and silver accents, the place is posh and pristine! I have to say, however, that I didn't feel quite cozy here...it almost feels sterile (?) in its minimalist kind of way. Service started out kind of rocky...in a way that's hard to explain. From the reception to the pedi chair, as well as its odd payment system, the entire experience felt uneasy, almost rough. I've been to more generic, cheaper nail salons that had more of a sophisticated system...with a nice, smooth experience from start to finish. The experience here wasn't quite so smooth. Like I said, it all felt kinda rocky. My mani/pedi service also started off awkward...given that I could barely understand the young girl (very soft voice with a super-thick accent). Anyway, thought it was best if I just fiddled on my iPhone, so the communication problem wasn't a huge issue. Don't know her name, but she turned out to be really good...in terms of her technique. I'll even say that she did a stellar job with the cuticles and polishing. BTW, I just got their Mimosa Mani and Pedi (Express), so the pricing wasn't too bad for a nail salon of this caliber. Besides, it was quite pampering for an Express Service...probably equivalent to a Deluxe version in lesser salons. One last thing...Overhead Music! This always affects my overall impression. Maybe because I used to work for Muzak, where we specialized in matching up music (and messages) with the various businesses...but yes, overhead music IS important (to me, that is!). Unfortunately, this place did NOT match up the right music for its uber pristine environment. I guess I don't get why these upscaled salons and spas (including nail salons and spas) don't go with New Age, Ambient, Easy Listening type music. Despite the Fancy Schmancy ambiance, this place played rough 'n rowdy type of Pop and Soul. Mind you, I can get into Pop, Soul, even Punk and Industrial, but this type of music for this type of setting was just not right. It most definitely didn't help set the serene vibe for this type of place. Again, disappointing. Overall, I was initially mesmerized by their ambiance...but like I said, the experience itself was shaky and awkward. Plus, the bad, ill-suited music! Still, the mani and pedi service turned out to be excellent, so I'd definitely recommend this nail "boutique" for those looking to feel like a Queen (an Ice Queen?) for a Day! read more

I was NOT impressed. I usually go to my local nail bar. However, it was ladies brunch and celebration of new nuptials. We wanted to treat ourselves. First, let's address the cost. You are paying for location only. The white amenities do not foster the cost for other lack luster areas. Its expensive. Everything is all a cart. What you would normally get for $30 pedi will be $60+. Meaning, scrub, paraffin wax and/or callous treatment or anything else will be extra and is not included. The chairs are gorging but that's it. Don't get excited, no massaging chairs, no adjusting base. The basin where your feet go does not have jets. They do not line each chair with plastic for sanitation. Speaking of which the basins are haphazardly cleaned afterwards. Might I add that they're low with no way of getting out but to step in the basin with dirty shoes and possibly break your neck on the way out. I had two nail techs at the same time which is a pet peeve of mine. I was getting a gel mani and pedi. The tech on my toes was rough and careless. Tony was his name. He polished and left globs of nail polish in between the nail bed and skin. My finger tech was sweet. Taylor. Was her name. She was exceptional and focused. As for the techs on my friends. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I wish I could give 0 stars. I got a gel polish and it was terrible. my nails were jagged. the tech Victoria had the audacity to ask if she put the top coat on? I shouldn't have to tell you how to do your job. When I left, 2 hours later they started peeling off. My hands had not even been in water. I called the salon to ask them to fix it and they wouldn't let me schedule with anyone but Victoria who is a 19 year old child who has no clue what she's doing. The rude person on the phone told me a manager would call me and NO ONE HAS CALLED ME. F this stupid trashy place, they've lost a customer. I have had only good experiences on my visits to Cachet Southpark. They are an extremely busy facility, so it is best to make an appointment. Additionally, be willing to spend time when you are there, as the good technicians will not rush through, but take time to pay attention to detail. Every time I schedule with Monica. She is personable, fun, and pristine with her work. My nail work lasts for a couple of weeks (my natural nails, no SNS or gel for me--although she does do these services). The menu is adorable, as you can choose your mani or pedi package off of them. Additionally, you can order a special cocktail. If you don't want to spend extra on your drinks, you get a complimentary drink with your nail services. Cachet is always extremely clean inside, bright, and well kept. Each nail kit is sterilized and they take out a new one from packaging for each client. They have a staff member specifically who cleans each chair, tub, and floors after use. Both locations are very clean and well organized. I appreciate the variety of music (EDM, Pop). I've only encountered one minor issue recently. Before you read my story, please note as a loyal customer I appreciate the overall professionalism of Cachet. They took full responsibility and made things right. Thursday: Someone canceled my appointment, I found out the day of after calling in. I was sooo pissed. The receptionist offered to reschedule my appointment, along with a discount for my troubles, I refused it. My birthday was on Friday so I needed my nails done ASAP! I had to leave work early. The ambiance and decor of Cachet is amazing. The size and seats are beautiful, and they really deliver the upscale spa vibe. Overall, the services were good and the technicians were very friendly; we did not feel that we received superior quality services for the price, though. We were quite disappointed with the bar aspect of the salon... one of the main reasons we came to this location was for the beverages, and we would have purchased 2 or 3 each if given the opportunity. However, no one took our drink order until halfway through the pedicure, and then they returned twice to report they had run out of ingredients to make our drinks. We only ended up having 1 glass of wine each - which we were charged for, even though we were supposed to have 1 free drink with our services. I would definitely return to give the place a 2nd chance, especially since I was pleased with my actual pedicure. This was my first visit and I went with a friend from out of town. There are some pros and cons to this place: PROS: 1) The ambience! It is very tastefully decorated and clean. When I walked in I felt like I was transported to some posh salon in Beverly Hills. 2) My nail technician Ryan was amazing. He really took his time and his work was immaculate. I loved how meticulous he was with shaping my nails. I appreciated that he didn't rush through my session. 3) I went on a Saturday and only had to wait 5 minutes to get a chair! They also let me and my friend sit next to each other which some salons don't do. It sucks when you go to get pampered with a friend and a salon sits you at opposite sides of the room...smh. I liked that they accommodated us. Cons: 1) Price! I paid about $37 for a gel mani. I love pampering myself but have never paid more than $30 for a gel mani. I guess you pay for the location and ambience of the establishment. At my usual salon, the manicure comes with a lengthy hand massage that is so relaxing. This one gives you a quick rub with lotion and that's it. 2) The drinks aren't complimentary. Overall I did enjoy my experience! My first experience I walked in and asked for an express mani/pedi, I was told I need to come back tomorrow because I came in at 6:50pm and they stop taking customers an hour prior (close at 8pm). Cachet is THE best nail salon in Charlotte I've ever been to. It's tough to find a good and consistent nail salon in Charlotte! The decor in here is beautiful and they have a full bar (not all drinks are complimentary, so be aware of that). I got a gel fill in here a few weeks ago. My nails have never been shaped so perfectly. They didn't last two weeks but I believe that's due to a poor full set I got somewhere else because just the tips kept popping off. This salon is expensive but it doesn't try to hide it, so I'm okay with that. I also like they have a front desk staff and take appointments. Super convenient. I will definitely return to Cachet next time I want to get acrylics done and will absolutely refer my friends here too! Angel did my nails and she was incredible. She was personable, kind and fast. We chose Cachet because it was open past 7pm and fairly close to where we had dinner. Let's start with the good; Overall the prices are reasonable and there is complimentary wine. My husband (who graciously decided to "endure" his first pedicure), had a great tech who was funny and attentive. My experience was quite the opposite. My most significant gripe is that she decided to treat us all to her Facetime call throughout my service! It was not a quick call, but an extended conversation that lasted for about 15 minutes. I couldn't enjoy a conversation with my husband due to the volume at which she was conversing. She did an ok job on my pedicure, but the polish did not go to the base of the nail so it looked a bit grown out from the start. To say she was unprofessional was an understatement. I went there for 5 1/2 years. Recently, my powder dip nails crumbled off within lless than a week of getting them done. I was out of town. Before i could return to the salon, my natural nails began breaking off. When I finally got back in town to the salon, they charged me $40 for 8 tips in addition to the $45 for dip nails. The 2 nails that didn't crumble and break were done in a different color/ powder! That tells me the product on the other 8 was bad! I was a loyal client, but no more! To my knowledge, if it's listed as the price, that's what you charge. The chairs are oversized wingback chairs, no massage. The service menu, had lots of different options. The basic pedi starts at $27, and goes up from there. Once someone finally started on my nails 30 minutes in, I found out the color I had been decided on for 20 minutes they were now out of. So I settled for another color and they started About halfway through, after saying how I disliked coffin shaped nails, she gave me coffin nails and proceeded to file my tips down to try and fix the shape. Essentially I paid an extra 10$ to get extra glue on my nails - there wasn't even added length. After that I was set that I wasn't crazy about this place. It got worse. I think the girl working on my nails may not have been very experienced, and I left pretty unhappy and with a hefty 60$ manicure. Overall, I would not recommend going here. Over all on my Mani it was pretty legit (maybe more then a 2 min massage would of been nice), until I wanted to do alternating colors which was 4 different shades (keep in mind no design) I was told that I could only do up to two colors any additional colors are $5 a nail?! I've never had this happen at any nail salon in CLT or there other location, where they charge that unless I do designs or accents added on, this was only color! I don't mind paying for extra add-ons but to have two other colors so it's different shades that's never happened. So I feel it's a bit strange to pay extra for two colors when you already paying for a $37 Gel Mani not including tip. I only see Nick for my nails services and would recommend him any day!! Also, I've heard his wife does super work too. I'll only request for any future visits! Please note, they are popular. I am very sad that I have to downgrade my review. I moved to the area in January and have posted positive reviews, brought friends family and out of town guests. They won't take appointments unless it's over an hour from when you are coming in. I live 5 minutes away so I now just walk in. I keep getting turned away for a pedicure, during the week from 4:30 on because they are booked until closing. Monday through Wednesday?! I have tried for 3 months and still can't get in. This review is for the MICROBLADING: I am a patron of Cachet (South BLVD location) and commented to one of the tech's that I liked her eyebrows. She mentioned that Gina Pham does microblading. I spent about 2 weeks researching and canceled on Gina twice because I freaked out (and my husband lol). At the end I went through with it and it is the best cosmetic choice I've ever made! I naturally have sparse eyebrows and oily skin. Not the best combo and I've always hated them. But the shape and work Gina did is AMAZING and I literally couldn't be happier. First let me say that I read another review before posting this one of someone who did not like the Mircoblading outcome because it turned gray. If you research the procedure, it explains that after getting microblading, new skin forms over the area. Newly healed skin, is white in color and takes 6 weeks to go "translucent". So the color, dark brown or black, will look gray until the skin is completely healed in 6 wks. I freaked out a bit too after the color seemed to fade so much, but after 6 weeks the brown returned and they looked awesome. At the 6 week point I scheduled another visit with Gina for the touch up. Same thing-- looks gray for another few weeks and then I was left with a beautiful, darker shape. Another thing to note is your eyebrows might look "too big" when they are just done because your skin is swollen, and because the scabs that form are larger than the stroke. So until all the scabs fall off, your eyebrows will appear larger than the fully healed outcome. Anyways, I loved Gina's work and plan to go back to get another touch up once it starts to fade. I know with my oily skin it won't last as long, but I would rather get touch ups every 8 months than have to fill in my brows every morning. I recently started following Gina on Instagram and her eyebrow work is posted so you can see for yourself. She does amazing work, just do your research regarding the healing process. Went here with a couple of friends to get the kopari luxury pedicure . The whole experience was less than mediocre and we left very disappointed . They charged us $75 each for what is a basic pedicure at most salons. The scrub was not scrubbed , the lotion was not massaged , and my nails were all wonky after filing. I had to keep asking the tech for a massage and she basically just touched my feet and calf muscle and that was that . At the end of the pedicure my feet did not even feel soft . I will not be going back and will not recommend this place to anyone. Could have gotten a better experience at a regular nail salon for half the price , very disappointing! read more

Hands down, best manicure and pedicure. Beautiful place and amazing staff! I just recently had the microbladding done and I love it. Gina explained everything to me and she was so sweet. It prob equals a 10 minute tattoo as far as pain level but results were worth every second. For the first time I have beautiful brows that look natural and permanent. Oh, and that arch. Just call me sexpot Elmore. People are constantly telling me they love my brows. It makes such a difference. This review is not a reflection on the nail tech who did an amazing job creating a custom color for me, but rather the experience I had with the staff after the fact. At checkout they had a computer error running my transaction onto a gift card which deducted the service amount from my card balance but supposedly did not create a transaction in their sales. A manager was called over and I was handed a receipt for my service and was informed it was taken care of. Almost 2 hours after the fact I receive a call saying the transaction never cleared and I had to pay twice for the same service. I insisted that the error was not my fault as the balance had already been deducted for this service, that they should contact their computer system's customer service to figure out where the error occurred. I then receive a call not even 20 minutes later requesting I pay again as they "still couldn't figure it out". I had been very patient and understanding until this point ensuring I was not trying to scam them of their money and would gladly pay again if it resulted that the original transaction did not go through. I even tipped my nail tech almost 30% in cash before I left the building. I was in no way trying to pull one over on them and ultimately paid over $70 for a basic gel manicure all because of a system error. They were also completely aware that this would deduct my card balance twice and did not seem to care at how completely unfair and unprofessional that is. I have worked in customer service for years and would have never handled a situation this way let alone call the customer demanding to pay twice BEFORE calling their computer system for clarification on the issue first! After using that gift card only once before I feel robbed of all the money on it that they have now pocketed twice from their own system failing to work properly. As compensation I was given a few points totaling maybe $15 off for my next service which is still beyond insulting after how unprofessional this entire experience has been. I Took my bridal party to the cachet in SouthPark as a gift for all their help. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and was told I would have a private room. Upon arrival they took us back but no private room, told me wasn't available after arrival. When we sat down they started to do 2 pedicures but never my sisters until about 20 minutes after ours and finished up about 20 minutes earlier than we did. During our pedicure the ladies were cussing and used the f*** word in front of us. They continued to do our pedicures at a luxury nail salon, using paper towels between our toes because they said it was cheaper for them. I had scheduled manicure with the pedicures so when that time came they switched people on me and ran out of time. They never gave me a manicure they only painted my nails. They never touched my hands but charged me for it. They did however send the lotion home with me! I called several times and the manger didn't seem to care. I called and requested to speak to the owner and they never would call me! I went to Cachet for the first time today! I had a great, relaxing experience My technician was Grace, and she was so sweet and attentive to want I wanted. I loved the atmosphere. The idea of having a bar is great. I felt super pampered getting my nails done and having a cocktail. Celeste, the bar tender, was so kind and not pushy at all. My "adult beverage" was so tasty. Check-in was super easy, and even the ladies at the desk were super kind. My only complaint was that the chairs were a little hard to get in and out of, and they didn't adjust at all. For someone like me, with short legs, I had to sit on the edge of my chair most of the time. Grace did find an extra pillow to help my back, so I can't complain too much. read more
