I just went to this place to have a manicure and to be honest the service they offer is very cheap, I dont know if they use expired products but the minute I walk out of the place my nails look like nothing was done on my nail, many bubbles, they don't even paint the full nail, and I just do my nails today and i will have to re do my manicure again tomorrow, I try many times but is always the same. read more

This was the worst nail experience I've had unfortunately. I had left my Nails to breathe for a few months and was really excited to get a new set. I usually get acrylic extensions gel, color and French tip. I asked for that on toes and nails. She was not listening to what I wanted for my design And how I wanted my nails to look that I was paying for. Attached is the first picture of how they usually look when I get them done second picture as her work. They were so bad I had to stop her and not even continue the French design on my nails. I enjoy going to polished when I need a quick pedicure. They are always well staffed and I've never had to wait long at all. Don't come to polished if you want a long, relaxing spa experience. Even though they do a quick and efficient job, I have always been pleased with the outcome of my nails. This is my go to place when I'm in a time crunch but could use a pedicure. There is always a ton of people in there and it is loud with a lot going on (they do a good job of keeping it well staffed though, so I've never experienced a wait). They do have multiple TVs with different programs on to watch. They have sodas and wine available to sip on during your time here. Expect your average pedicure with the massage chairs and averagely priced. read more

Used to come here often; but it's been a few years. The place shows it- which should have tipped me off. Had this been a hair salon I would have walked out, but thought well I was there and its nails so let's just do. Got the All Out mani/pedi. Place was not busy- 10:30 on a Monday- so u would think ur nail person wouldn't rush, right? Should have brought my glasses in- and should have taken a close look at everything. When I got home I noticed that most of my toes did not have polish completely on the nails! My fingers weren't much better - ONE nail had polish to the cuticle, all the others stopped before the cuticle so it looks like the polish has been on a week or so and my nails grew. Furious because of course tip before she was done- and I tipped very well, she even commented!! Would think then maybe u do a good job? Will DEF NOT be returning, not recommending. So disappointing. Follow up: 5 hours later; went to the salon near me to get another manicure. So total $135 incl tips. Should have just started there. Wish I had remembered my review from years ago. Although they are cooperating with Covid-19 codes, I think today's visit was my last. Like so many other Polished Nail Bars they are so inconsistent and don't really provide the quality that other nail salons do. Today my pedicure was less than 15 minutes, she did not clean my cuticles, but rather just brushed them over and did not clean underneath the nail beds. The polish was a mess. They raised their prices astronomically, and their work is slacking. I went for SNS, and within 3 days, my nails chipped. I couldn't go back because I was out of the state, and then 6 of my 10 nails chipped and broke within a week. Love Lina who does my nails, and my eyebrow waxing. I won't let anyone by Lina touch my eyebrows. She is fantastic. Lina can be hard to get but she always delivers good service. Vannie the manager is always polite and funny. They work hard at their jobs. That is why I was so disappointed to find them working without air conditioning today and Vannie driving around trying to find a laundromat to wash/dry towels. They never complained but I asked questions. I felt bad for them Vannie was running around doing lots of jobs that she shouldn't have to do. Not impressed or all that pleased at all. You are solely paying for the location and NOT the service/experience one would expect from an "upscale" nail salon. I decided to try out Polished yesterday since I was going to dinner in the area. I walked right in, let the girl know at the counter know that I wanted a manicure, and was instructed to pick my color and take a seat at "the bar." They have an island of nail polish with various colors from essie and O.P.I and their manicure stations are set up like an actual bar complete with a cluster of TVs hanging from the ceiling. You grab a seat (your choice, given that it's not busy) and offered your choice of wine or non-alcoholic beverage, however, I was not offered anything. The woman who did my nails ended up cutting a chunk of my cuticle from my middle finger. You would think it was because she was rushing but the place was pretty quiet. There was barely an acknowledgement of her error, other than her dabbing that green ointment that immediately stops bleeding. She continued with the rest of manicure and I got to endure having a throbbing finger throughout the rest of it. After I paid and she applied the final coat of polish, I was never notified that there wasn't a dryer or any kind of drying station for the end of my manicure. So....I just had to sit at the bar/counter until I felt my nails were dry enough to leave. I've experienced MUCH BETTER service for less money at other nail salons and will not be going back, unless I'm physically dragged. read more

3rd times a charm as I must update my review as a final encore. I came back to Charlotte unexpectedly & made sure seeing Michelle was my top priority. The two years of being back in the DMV, I have been lucky enough to find one good, solid Nail Tech, yet there is no other than Michelle. 1st, the ever changing of renovations for Polished surely equals to the growth of the South Park area. The posh & advanced interior design is hands down exquisite. I saw lighting fixtures that belongs in Park Avenue Penthouses, the snow white walls & the studded luxury spa chairs are the finishing touch to the flawless upgrades. The rectangle marble (if another quartz, my apologies) bar provides a nail oasis where manicures are given, glasses of libations are daintily sipped & people socializing. The waiting area consists of a user friendly sectional leather couch where you can view another manicure station, retail products & the never ending nail polish tower. Every last staff member extends the friendly salutations & will make sure to communicate if your Technician is running behind, some even jump in to lend a hand. They offer additional services, such as my favorite-waxing & again, Michelle is the mini as in tiny Maestro of it all. I've been going to Michelle since 2012, regardless what state/city I may be in. Her professionalism, expertise & down to earth friendliness is not only polished, yet simply refreshing & top notched. The prices are unbeatable, the basic nail service is still pampering at its best, & regardless if you are of the upper echelon, college student, professional athlete, entertainer, average Joe/MK like me LOL...you are treated with phenomenal client services across the board, hands down. I have a vacation coming up here soon so I wanted to get a manicure, pedicure, Brazilian, full leg, and underarm wax, and lash extensions. Everything was absolutely perfect. the waxing took all of 15 minutes and not a hair was missed. My nails look AMAZING and my tech knew exactly what i wanted when i described it to her and my lashes were done with so much detail and exactly like i wanted them done. This place was ridiculous. We went in for manicures and pedicures with a few simple designs we saw on THEIR yelp. They said they can't do any designs. Hmm. Ok. We sat down for pedicures. My 6 year old could have done a better job. This "pedicure" was a ten minute start to finish. Basically they will wash ur feet and polish them and call it a pedicure. $30 dollars for a 10 minute pedicure?? This was my first time here with my 2 daughters and this will be my last. This will be my go to spot for a mani and pedi when I am in Charlotte!! I absolutely loved everything about this place!! The staff were friendly, engaging, and helpful. When my boyfriend and I entered, we were greeted and it took less than five minutes for our services to start. This was impressive since it was a Saturday evening. The young lady that was completing my pedicure advised me that they have over 20 staff, so it's not likely there would ever be a long wait! Since my boyfriend was getting a manicure he sat at the bar area. It is clear that this place caters to both men and women. He was so excited that they had the football game playing on every television! Additionally, they offer drink service with beer, wine, mimosas, and water options! I opted for a glass of red wine, while he enjoyed a beer. I sat in one of the white chairs that made me feel like a princess. The chairs are truly made for you to feel like a queen, or king! Of note, the large white chairs do not offer a massage option, but do make for cute pics. They do have a number of massage chairs to the side of the bar area. Regarding the pedicure I received, I think it was pretty thorough. She removed the current polish I had on, cut and filed my toenails, scrubbed the bottom of my feet and massaged my legs and feet. Additionally the tech told me that my big toe nail was cracked. She asked me if I wanted her to cut it or save It. She said that she could put some glue on it and file it down if I did not want it cut. It came out pretty good. You can not even see that it was cracked after she finished. One downfall is that it does appear that they need to update their polishes. I picked a color from the OPI collection. After shaking it up- it did not seem to have much content remaining. During my pedicure I did see the tech pour a liquid into the polish in an effort to extend the life of the bottle. I will see if this has an adverse effect on the life of my pedicure. Regarding price-- the manicure was $20 and my pedicure was $25. I think it's a little over the cost of the average mani and pedi. However, I think it's worth the extra cost. You get the drink service along with stellar customer services. It's like comparing Wal-mart to Target. Yes, you can get the same thing from both, but would you pay extra for a smile, and connivence of not having to wait?? This girl will!! read more

I live close to this location and usually have a pretty good experience. My most recent visit was absolutely excellent. I wanted an opaque very light pink on my fingers. The color I usually get has been discontinued, so the nail technician told me he could mix two colors to get a similar result. He showed me what it would look like by painting part of his own nail Forst and checking to see if I liked the color. It was a great match. My nails are shoes and painted perfectly. Nice spot near South Park area. There is plenty of parking in the lot in the front. Upon entering I was greeted and told where I could sit. Soon I was asked if I wanted a beverage. They offer wine and beer. It was packed for a Friday afternoon. The place wasn't the cleanest. The seats were dirty, the nail dryer for the no chip had gunk in it, the nail polish selection wheels were filthy, etc. I was sure to watch my tech pull tools from wrapped package. It appears like a lot was going on. The nail technician Van was nice. She was very attentive and searched diligently for the polish I wanted. There was no luck in finding it, but she created a color or tried to. My nails didn't last long.four days later they were chipping and discolored. I think the discoloration comes from them using a base and top coat from another brand. read more

I was not blown away by Polished. I came here on a recommendation that they are good with their mani and pedi. I liked the person who did my nails, she was nice and friendly. When I had called to get a quote on regular pedi and shellac mani, it was $45. I even echoed back to her, $45?? So I went ahead and booked the appointment. So here is the low down. After what I felt like a rushed job on my mani and pedi.. Then finding out it was $65 or so dollars, I was soo bummed! But I just went ahead and paid for the services. I came home and looked at my nails and I was even more bummed out that it was not even a great of a job. I saw spots where it should have been covered on my fingernails and toenails. And! The first time I have ever had shellac mani - it lasted forever! This one was lasted only 1 week and I saw the space between my cuticles and nail polish that appeared. I just cannot seem to find a great nail salon here in Charlotte! *sigh* I am still in search for another one =T I give it 3 stars, cause the location is near, and they offered champagne, which I declined. Well on my return visit not so good. Decided to get my nails painted in a funky yellow and green French..... Well everything was good until she was "done" None of the edges of my nails had paint on them and the French tips were totally uneven, they looked so messy.....when I asked her to fix it, she said she couldn't and blamed it on what I wanted being "too hard to do". So when I asked for a refund they wouldn't refund me for the "manicure", my cuticles look terrible. So yea they gave me a gift certificate to make amends but I do not think I'll be using it...... My aunt found this place because it has handicapped parking right in front of the door so it is easier for my grandma to get in an out. So yesterday we decided to go because my grandma and my cousin wanted to get a mani and pedi and I wanted to get a mani and eye brow wax. When we walked in I was impressed at all the fancy lights and the layout of the shop. At first everything seemed to be going well, but after my grandma and my cousin got settled in to their pedicure chairs and I sat up at the nail bar, that is when I started to become disappointed with this location. I noticed the floor was filthy, then my grandma accidentally splashed water on the nail tech's face. The girl had a fit, left to washed her face, then came back with a scowl on her face complaining because my grandma (who is almost 90 years old) ACCIDENTALLY splashed water on her face. Really!? Anyways, I was happy with the 3 people who helped me. I don't understand why it takes 2 different people to do a manicure, but they did a very good job. The 1st person was great, he listened to my concerns and the 2nd person was kind enough to put nail hardener on for my base coat. When it was time for my eyebrow wax, the 3rd person was really sweet too, and did a wonderful job shaping my brows, the downfall was she left a bunch of wax on my face. So for $27 and a $3 tip for a mani, eye brow wax and a free water, I can honestly say this place is over rated. The concept is great; get wine, beer, soda, or water for free while you get you nails done. I just think that the less than 5 star quality of customer service needs to be corrected. I have never had such a poor experience, and the rudeness towards my grandma makes me not want to go back. Additionally my grandma ended up having to file her nails again after we got home and now has an infection on her toe. Not fun. I normally get my nails done in Stonecrest or Ballantyne, but over the holidays, I met a couple of friends for lunch at Cowfish. After lunch, we headed over to Polished to get our nails done. Unfortunately our lunch ran longer than expected, and I had a hair appointment for a little later that I could not reschedule. Because I had to leave in time to make it to my appointment, I had to forgo the mani and just get a basic pedi. I told my nail tech that I needed to get in & out in a hurry and she did a good job meeting my time constraint. She was fast but not sloppy. The only thing that could have been better was if she had applied a drying serum to my toenails because after I left the salon, I messed up the polish on my big toe. Bummer! This location seems to be a little smaller than the Stonecrest location, but they still had plenty of chairs and enough nail technicians working so that we did not have to wait. I thought the service here was a-ok. If you happen to be in the SouthPark/Philips Place area and want to get a quick mani or pedi without blowing your budget, this is not a bad place. read more

I am in the area alot and happened to pass by on Sunday. I walked in and asked if I could make an appointment and was told Sundays they don't do appointments. I asked what the wait was and she said 30 minutes so I said: " I will be back in 30 minutes. Do you need my name?" She said no I will remember. I came back 30 minutes later and she said what? When I walked in and then told me it was a 25 minute wait. After this about 5-6 women walked in and she quoted them 45 minutes but had them all sit at pedicure chairs to soak feet. But the wait was 45 minutes?!? When I waited another 25 minutes she told me to pick a color then ignored me for about 10 more minutes so I eventually just left but what a waste of time. I ended uo going somewhere else the next day. All I needed was a gel manicure. No soak off I don't appreciate wasting my time and then getting nothing in return. read more

I've been to a few different nail salons here in Charlotte, and this one has to go down as the worst pedicure I've ever received. Honestly, I felt like it was just a production line for pedicures and we were just feet in a row. A friend and I arrived at 5:30 to a pretty empty salon. We were greeted, if you want to call it that, from across the room and told to get color. Then we sat down, and the one nail tech came over and just said "we are waiting", but no one had told us that we were supposed to go to one of the 100 chairs in there after we picked out colors. The tech got to work on my toes and before I could say anything, she cut them down pretty far. Then the next thing I know, she's already applying the polish on my nails. She massaged my legs just long enough to let the minimum amount of lotion absorb in. From start to polish, she was done in 15 minutes. Then she disappeared. My friend and I were sitting there, in the chairs, wet toes, no spacers between them and not knowing if we were supposed to go to a drying spot or just sit there. There were about Five techs on the other side of the salon having a grand old time, but none to tell us what to do. We sat there for about five minutes and then decided to leave. It honestly was the quickest, oddest and one of the more expensive pedicures I've ever received.
