Vintage is usually where our office goes anytime we decide to have a group lunch. They are close to our office, provide good service, and offer delicious pizza. I'm personally mad at myself for always getting the same thing, but it never lets me down and is a good price. I usually get the Vintage Lunch Combination, which is a pizza slice, choice of salad, and drink for $8.95. In my case, pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, and Sprite. The salad comes out first similar to an appetizer, then they bring out your pizza slice. The Caesar salad is okay. Not too much dressing and not too little. Although it's thin, the slice of pizza really big. I've never been able to finish a whole slice here, especially if I've already eaten a salad. Half of the slice usually makes it way back home with me, but I managed to eat it all today. Overall, Vintage is pretty good. It's normally kinda packed here during lunchtime, so keep that in mind, but it's always outdoor seating if the weather's nice. read more

Vintage Pizzeria was about what I expected which is 3 stars: A-OK. This is a casual pizzeria and bar located on the ground level of what looks to be a small brick apartment/condo complex. Parking is limited out front. It's easiest to just park in the gravel lot across the street next to the Frosty Caboose or in the fenced-in lot next door. Inside, the place looks somewhat rustic. Exposed brick, beams, and ductwork. There's a bar that splits the dining room down the middle. One side is for adults, the other side is for all ages. There is seating of all types: tables, booths, high-tops, the bar, etc. There are TVs playing sports. I wouldn't consider this a sports bar, but you can come here to catch a Braves game or other event if you want. This place was busy when we visited for a Wednesday night dinner. They serve not only pizzas, but a variety of Italian food. This includes meatballs, salads, pastas, calzones, strombolis, subs, and sandwiches. They have under-$10 lunch specials on weekdays. Outside of that, expect to spend at least $12-15 per person for a meal. Pizza by the slice is available from 11am to 3pm. They have gluten-free pizza too. If you customize a pizza, they have over 30 toppings to choose from. We tried one appetizer, one pasta, and one specialty pizza: App: Bruschetta ($8) - grilled ciabatta bread topped with tomato, garlic, basil, onion, shaved Parmesan, and balsamic glaze Pasta: Chicken Piccata ($13.50) - pan-sauteed chicken cutlet served on a bed of linguine with a lemon butter caper sauce Pizza: Vintage Pizza (medium, $19) - pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives The way they serve the bruschetta here looks pretty sloppy. It tastes alright, though. They top the bruschetta with lots of wide shavings of Parmesan cheese and drizzle the balsamic on top. The toast was crisp and the toppings were fresh. The chicken piccata was OK. The meat was tender enough and I enjoyed the linguine noodles and garlic bread. The sauce was flavorful too. However, as much as I hate to say it, this plate wasn't a huge upgrade over something you might be able to buy frozen. The pizza was good. I'm guessing the "Vintage" is pretty much the equivalent of a supreme pizza. Thin crust and plenty of toppings, the kind that fall right off. This pizza is more of an American type pizza. Together with the piccata and app, the medium-sized pizza was more than enough food for the three of us. Terrific service. Had another great dinner from Vintage pizzeria in Chamblee. This time I chose the Chicken Piccata. Best decision ever! It was luscious, the chicken was very good, l added spinach which was really good, a healthy amount of capers, yum and al dented pasta. It was a beautiful dish. Best gluten free pizza i've had since being diagnosed with Celiac in 2018.... The service is next level. It feels homey and the people actually cared that I was gluten free! I believe the owner took my order and went to check if my initial order would be gluten free (the piccata sauce is thickened so it is not). He ran back to tell me and let me ask as many questions as I needed. I ended up getting the gluten free cheesesteak pizza and oh my lord... The pizza crust wasn't soggy and held up under the toppings! (for being gluten free that's a huge deal). My partner ordered the meatball sub and he devoured it, so Im guessing that's just as good! There are two sides to this place. One side is for guests age 15 and up and the other for families with younger kids. Great for grownups who don't like to be around kids and kids who don't like to be around grownups! The waitress was very friendly, attentive, and accurate. I always stop here for lunch during work. It's one of the best pizza places I have ever been to. It has amazing salad, calazones, and the pizza slices are huge. Service is always great! Vintage is good stuff! It's fun to try a different neighborhood sometimes, and this is a great casual spot. The pizzas are tasty and the toppings are plentiful. Plus, I love that they serve their salads in metal mixing bowls. The caesar is good (the dressing is slightly more on the "oily" instead of "creamy" side, just FYI) and there's also the option to build-your-own, which I always like to have. The lunch crowd is busy but it's also a good date night spot. One caveat: if you go on weekends, be prepared for a fair dose of families-with-kids (though they do have a "child-free seating section"!). I haven't tried the pastas, but the friend I went with for lunch once was happy, and I like the fact that they'll serve pizza by the slice as well as individual or bigger sizes. The parking situation was weird, I definitely should have checked other Yelp reviews first before my lunch so I wouldn't have been late... Italian subs are oftentimes my go-to at Italian restaurants, and this hot Italian sub was a winner. Definitely a lot of food, a lot of meat. I'd recommend sharing or taking home leftovers so you don't pass out from food coma. Upon entering I thought we had to wait to be seated. I guess the confusion upon my face showed because Shawna quickly greeted us and stated we could sit anywhere we liked. She added pointed to the bar or the other side which was the "adult" side as she stated it's family night and it was going to get pretty loud on the main side. We opted to go on the otherside. It was quite nice and quite. There were three men sitting at the bar. Another came as we were sitting. The bartender was not the friendliest at first. I only state that because we watched how she treated everyone else. While it was my first time dining in it was not my first time having food from Vintage. I was overwhelmed by the menu as was my friend. When asked for a suggestion the bartender stated "everything is good." I jokingly stated...well that's rare that everything is good but what is the "specialty item" that I can remember this place for? She replied anything. She has working for the company for 13 years so she has tried it all. After she walked away the gentleman sitting next to me made suggestions based on his "weekly" visits. I also asked Shawna, another server, as she passed by. Oddly enough I can remember her name but not the actual person serving us. It's simple, there was no connection made even though the bartender was serving us. Shawna took the time to make sure we were ok. Cleaned out area of small trash as we waited on our pizzas. Now when our pizzas arrived we had no idea that a small was big enough for two people but we took more than half our pizzas home. Overall, I liked the food and service. Had the opportunity to try out Vintage Pizza late last night - got there about 10 minutes before closing and they were surprisingly accommodating. The service was excellent - we sat on the front deck and enjoyed the cooling down evening. The overhead ceiling fan was a bit much (had to hang on to paper napkins) but we wanted to leave the smallest amount of mess to clean up as possible due to our being so late. We ordered a small Greek Salad to split while the pie was being made - a fairly generic but good salad with the usual Greek olives and feta. It could have used a second pepperoncini but no big deal - I liked the dressing a lot. The main course was a medium pie covered with mushrooms and jalapenos, half covered with pepperoni (for me!). I liked the freshness of the ingredients, however the sauce could have been a bit spicier. The fresh jalapenos were a welcome change - in general I like the pickled ones more but these provided a lot of heat and some needed texture. The best thing about the pie was the crust - there aren't many pizza places in Atlanta that can do a good, traditional crust. Don't get me wrong, I rather enjoy a sour-dough or whole wheat crust, but I do occasionally like something more traditional in white dough. Vintage does an excellent job both with the substance and the bake - these slices could be held with very little limp at the end - perfection! Rounding out the meal was a pint of Fat Tire on tap - I've found it to be the perfect pizza ale with just that hint of needed bitterness, but without the dry hops aftertaste of local or microbrews (the ubiquitous 420 comes to mind). The medium pie with 2.5 ingredients, 1 pint of beer and the small Greek came out at $23 - not bad feeding two. I'll be sure to visit again - I think it'll be great for a medium to small group. read more

Pizza, pasta, salads - how can you go wrong with such straightforward menu items? Unfortunately, Vintage Pizzeria managed to get almost everything wrong. To start, we ordered the bruschetta. We expected fresh tomatoes, basil, bread brushed with olive oil. What we were served was a plate of bread covered in olive oil, cheese, and balsamic vinegar, with a mound of tomatoes (with onions possibly?) in the center that I think had been soaked in balsamic and left to turn to mush. We couldn't bring ourselves to try it - it looked that unappetizing. I ordered the chicken piccata, expecting breaded and fried chicken breast over linguine tossed in butter, lemon, garlic and capers. It's a really simple dish. They brought a plate of linguine that looked like it had been cooked hours earlier, covered in something that looked like broth, not sauce, with a film of oil and capers bobbing up and down. The chicken was wan and pale and sat listlessly on top of the linguine broth mixture. I couldn't bring myself to taste it - it was disgusting. The kids at our table all ordered pizza. And ate it! They said it was good, even as the cheese slid off each slice, soggy with marinara. I think they were just really hungry. We wanted to like this place but it let us down spectacularly. When we sent our food back, we tried to be polite but we were honest. No one seemed to care that we thought the food was awful or even to recognize that there was anything wrong at all. If you can't even get something as simple as bruschetta right, what are you even doing serving anything else. And please don't charge the $15 or $16 I think it was listed for on the menu. The restaurant removed the charges for our uneaten food without asking. We still spent about $65 when all was said and done for a terrible meal. Go at your own risk and definitely only stick to pizza but ask for light sauce. . read more
