What a wonderful experience! I was in rohnert Park for a short stay and was very excited to try this place and I always love to try empanadas wherever I go. I must say, I have had a lot of empanadas in my life in several countries including argentina and every time I see an empanada place in the states and these are hands down the best I've ever had. I was greeted at the door by a precious woman that took my order and came back 10 minutes later with a package that looked like a beautiful birthday gift with the most beautiful flower on top. The staple beef and spicy beef delivered a mouthful of flavorful deliciousness. The more unique flavors of the spinach artichoke and the plum bacon elevated the traditional empanada experience. The blueberry cobbler was a perfect end to a perfect meal. This small little place attached to a gas station was a surprising gem of an experience and I will be sure to make a point to go back the next time I'm in town.
Outstanding service, he was very patient in explaining the menu to us and explained all the ingredients. He was not rushed or impatient with our questions. We waited outside for our order and he returned with our order with a cup of flowers and he said it was from his garden. His kindness matched the flavor of the empanadas. I can't explain the richness of the flavors and these are literally the best I've ever had. A secret establishment in Rohnet Park with Michelin quality service and taste. A true hidden gem.

Vinoma never disappoints! Absolutely delicious empanadas, and the business owners are always friendly and give great service. It's a little bit of a funky location, but don't let that dissuade you. They have their own building that shares the lot with the gas station. You can order online beforehand or at the window. There are some tables outside to wait at, or you can just wait in your car. They bring your empanadas out as quick as possible, and always add a beautiful little flower to your order. Vinoma is truly a hidden gem, and I'm so glad the Rohnert Park area has a delicious local food option like this. Definitely check them out if you want a delicious meal!
My fiancée and I are roadtripping from San Jose to Oregon and stumbled upon Vinoma as our first meal spot. We were so impressed by how good the empanadas were! We tried the steak & cheese, al pastor, & buffalo chicken options. We are definitely coming back on our way back home to try more! The owner is also very nice & provided top notch customer service. We only wish we lived closer to try his new recipes!

1 million out of ten place. you would not expect this from a place next to a gas station. we placed our order and it took about 10 minutes because they make everything fresh. the worker who took our order was super kind and they package all the food in a box and provide a flower that the owners grow and give out in the springtime! it actually shocked me how good this place was. my friend and i were physically reacting and in awe of how crispy and flaky the dough was to how rich each empanada tasted without feeling so heavy. every single item we got was a hit and was so delicious. i'm only in town for a trip but this place was so good that i need to come back before i leave. came in the last hour before closing so the inside was closed so not sure if it's like that always but the vibe of getting empanadas to just eating outside was so nice and enjoyable. i would definitely recommend to anyone in the area
We stayed for the weekend in the Sonoma area during the winter break holiday recently. There was a popular tapas spot close to our hotel so we wanted to grab picnic food to go before heading out to the wineries. We arrived at Vinoma on a Sunday afternoon. The Argentinian restaurant is located next to a Shell Gas station in a nice small plaza in Rohnert Park. Parking is accessible in the medium size parking lot. We were not able to go inside the restaurant as there was a sign in the front to ring the bell for someone to come to the door and take your order. It was different but the staff were friendly and helpful. Once you order, you wait in your car and they bring your food to you. There are a few tables for dine in on the patio. We ordered a creamy corn empanada, traditional beef empanada, plum & bacon empanada, al pastor empanada, and a bacon egg & cheese empanada. Everything was fresh, authentic, and delicious. My favorite empanadas were the traditional beef and al pastor. Along with the flavorful meat filling, I enjoyed the crispy flaky crust as well. The sauce and pica de gallo provided went well with the empanadas. The presentation of the empanadas in the box was appealing and delightful. I appreciated the little menu in the box to inform you what you ordered. The little flower was a nice touch. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Vinoma. It was nice to try some legit empanadas from an Argentinian restaurant. Price point was fair. Glad we were able to run into this gem in wine country. We hope to be back next time we are in the area.
HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE! The food is the best thing you'll find within several hundred miles! I was passing through and had to make a pitstop before heading home. The owner and staff are so friendly , attentive and helpful with recommendations. There's a nice seating area right outside, it is by a gas station but its not bad by any means. Definitely stop by!
Came at 10:30am on a Sunday. They are on the side of the gas station, and you'll ring the bell at the door to order. They did say they were still warming up their oven upon our arrival, so we didn't get our empanadas until closer to 10:50! Just a note in case you are in a rush. You can order online as well, but it looked like only 11am was available when I looked. The empanadas were on the smaller side, but they were tasty. Buffalo chicken - a bit saltier than the other empanadas, but it was still good. Spicy beef - juicy and tasty. Was more of a mild spice. Al pastor - good taste here as well. I prefer this over the buffalo as it also comes with salsa and aioli sauce. Spinach artichoke - my wife really liked this one. Very filled. Steak and cheese - really hot with melted cheese. Tasty with chimichurri sauce.
Don't let the size of the portions fool ya..... These tapa's are tasty, that being said order like four or five of them!!!!!! The wife of the chef inside, was very helpful in my order as well!!! Outdoor seating only, so call ahead an order, otherwise you'll be ordering at the door like I did!!!!
Food- Great selection with some really creative empanada fillings. We ordered 4 of their top 5 popular items: spicy beef, bacon plum, corn cream, spinach artichoke and also ordered two dessert variety - blueberry cobbler and peach empanada. Their corn cream has a good generous portion of corns with balanced texture of creaminess to it. I love their bacon plum empanada. It's really delicious, tasty and the crust was incredibly flaky and crunchy. Ambiance- this is a pickup only store, next to the gas station and you can order ahead of time for pickup. They have 1-2 tables outside if you like to eat on spot. Service- fairly quick and really nice gesture with the two fresh lovely dahlias they provide along with your takeout order. See my pics attached. Since we are on a road trip and too full to try, we are saving the rest of the empanadas for later. Would come back again next time I'm in the area.

Hubby & I turned our club golf tournament event into an overnight stay in the North Bay. I purchased a dozen empanadas using the same method as before. Rang the doorbell and someone answered the door immediately. Waited in the car. 10 minutes later my order was walked out to my car. With a vase of flowers. What a lovely gesture. This time I also got three desserts empanadas on top of nine meat empanadas. Of the apple and blueberry, the blueberry one stood out. Until we happen to be in the North Bay again. read more

Been awhile since I have been to Vinoma and had a bit of extra lunch time so I dropped by today. The spicy beef is even -better- than I remember which I am not sure is even possible. They threw in a tasty berry sauce that I think was for the garbanzo one I tried but honestly is good with everything. Eyes bigger than my stomach after a round of golf was thinking get 6, but then new ones I had not tried so 8.... Before you know it get a dozen. I only ate 5 after a full round of golf and a solid appetite so 6 will feed most hungry people. read more

I'm in town every year for a wine event and my friends and I make sure to always have Empanadas from Vinoma. It can be a little confusing to find since it shares space with a gas station. There isn't any indoor seating but they have some tables outside. We take the food to go so it works perfectly for us. There were 9 of us this trip and got a cool variety. The employees are always friendly and the food is packed nicely. There are good assortment of empanadas to choose from. The categories are: meat, vegetarian, vegan, breakfast, and dessert. I pretty much like all the ones I've tried but my favorite is the Steak and Cheese which is steak, American cheese and caramelized onions. Another of my favorites is the Plum and Bacon. It is plums, bacon with fontina and mozzarella cheese; such a good, savory sweet empanada. The Apple Crisp is a great empanada for dessert! I would say 3-4 per person if you are treating it as a meal will work. I definitely recommend! read more
My husband and I just finished eating lunch across the street from this place but needed to get gas, so we stopped at the Shell to fill up. As an avid Yelper, I noticed this place and looked it up, only to find that it has almost 500 reviews and 4.9 stars! So I told my husband that we absolutely must try it! And I'm so glad we did. We stood out front perusing the menu for a few minutes when Brian (owner) came out to see if we had any questions. We talked with him for a few minutes about all the things and he gave us some great recommendations and we placed our order. We waited about 10 minutes or so and he came out with a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers (in a drink cup so it fits perfectly in the car cup holder) along with a box of gorgeous empanadas!! I love how they provide you with a menu that also serves as a key so you can determine which empanadas are which. Even though we had literally just eaten lunch and were totally stuffed, we ate the plum and bacon right on the spot so we could at least try a fresh one before getting back on the road to travel to our destination, and I'm so glad that we did! The plum and bacon was the perfect balance of savory with just a hint of sweet - the bacon was crisped to perfection and the cheese was perfectly pull apart melted - such a great snack. We devoured the remaining empanadas for dinner once we got to our hotel and they were the perfect dinner and dessert (we got savory and sweet). Every single one that we tried was great but I think that the traditional and the spicy beef might be my favorite. This entire experience is the reason why I love exploring and being open to what you discover along the way. I'm sure that many people drive right by this place, questioning why a good restaurant would be attached to a gas station. Well, those people are completely missing out. Add this to the gas station finds, excellent empanadas! I've found the most excellent Mexican and Gyros in random places. Vinoma does not disappoint. Order at the door or online and the bring it to you car...super friend and happy folks here. They even included a tiny bouquet with order. We shared 6 among us 4 as a very light snack. Such a hidden gem! We accidentally stumbled on this place as we were heading out of town but will 100% be back next time we're in the area. It's in a bit of an unassuming place next to a gas station but we were blown away with the food and the service. The little boy who took our order at the door took his job very seriously and was kind and offered great recommendations. All orders are baked to order so there was a small wait but the food came out so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The owner came out with a home-grown flower with our order as well which was a nice touch- you can definitely tell they put a lot of love into what they do. We saw all the great reviews and decided to give Vinoma a try. We expected something "extraordinary", but unfortunately, it did not turn out that way. First, we were surprised to find there was no indoor seating, and that someone comes out of the door to take your order. It felt strange. Plus, the restaurant shares a parking lot with a gas station. We ordered a dozen: 2 TRADITIONAL BEEF, 2 STEAK & CHEESE, 2 HAM & CHEESE, 2 BUFFALO CHICKEN, 2 AL PASTOR, 2 SPICY BEEF. Our favorite was the Al Pastor. The ham and cheese ones were too salty, and all the rest were either just ok or simply not to our liking. Overall, we were disappointed. We thought we were going to enjoy it based on all the good reviews, but in reality, we were forcing ourselves to finish the food. We honestly don't understand why this place has so many good reviews, maybe we are missing something, or maybe it just wasn't a good day for them. read more

This place serves empanadas unlike any I've had before. I'm used to the traditional, closed half-moon style, but here, they're laid out flat like a pizza. I tried the plum and bacon, al pastor, and blueberry empanadas. I was a bit unsure about the plum and bacon combo, but it completely surprised me -- it ended up being my favorite! I was genuinely blown away. I had no idea empanadas could taste this amazing. They also include a small dried flower bouquet with each order, which was super cute. The only downside? It's too far from where I live. If it were closer, I'd be here every day! read more

We have been meaning to try this spot for a long time, and I am SO thrilled we finally did. My partner's parents are both from Argentina, and he agrees this is the best empanada outside of Argentina. We had the corn (so creamy and delicious), chicken (juicy and flavorful), the spicy beef (cut beef, not ground! Perfection.), and the traditional (classic, perfectly done). All were wrapped in the flakiest, tastiest crust. We also got an amazing choripan! The staff were super lovely to chat with, and were kind enough to bring our order to the car so we didn't have to wait in the cold. 10/5 stars, we wish we'd ordered more and will be back! read more

First time visiting Rohnert Park and a quick internet search told me that Vinoma was the top rated spot in town. I pulled up 10 minutes before close and was greeted warmly and enthusiastically by Brian. Despite the time, he didn't rush me and was knowledgeable about the menu in terms of flavors, serving size and specials. I ordered 5 different empanadas and a dessert, but I wish I could have ordered more and had room to eat them because every thing I had was delicious! First time in town but would definitely come back just to eat here again. read more

12/15/2024 Our experience is as everyone else reviewed it! East in/out, we essentially got one of everything to try and a few of the favorites for our boys. Everything is Togo only but there are a few outdoor tables if you decide to dine here. Staff was friendly, helpful and food is great! Adjacent with a gas station. Everything you read here is on point! We will definitely be back when around. Next to Graton casino too! Ha! Good luck! read more
This was my second time trying empanadas, and I was SOO glad we landed on Vinoma! We were making a small trip to Santa Rosa when I found Vinoma on Yelp. They were close to the freeway which was super convenient! They're located right next to a gas station, and don't have any indoor seating - only a few tables outside. For ordering, you can either order with them outside or order online. We ended up ordering with them - along the way, we were able to get a few recommendations too. We had the most pleasant experience getting to know a bit about the family that runs the business - props to their cashier! Onto the food: you MUUUST get the spinach artichoke empanada. The choripan is delicious too! The empanadas all had the perfect amount of filling, and you could tell that it was packaged with care. The handmade crust was peerrrfectly flakey. I'm still thinking about all of the empanadas we got to this day! The empanadas are about $3-4 ea. I'd probably follow their recommendation of getting 4-6 per person, because it's easy to scarf them all down in one sitting lol. They have frozen empanadas here too - I'd get these in the future to bring home! read more

I've been going here for years and didn't realize I never reviewed this place. This hands down the best to-go place in Rohnert Park. Every empanada is good, and they're always trying new stuff. The owners are super nice and always give out dried or fresh flowers. I am never disappointed when I come here. read more

Food: 5/5 Tried a variety of empanadas and they were all amazing. My favorite being the spinach artichoke and buffalo chicken. The outside is not too thick, decent amount of filling, and the food itself is piping hot. This is probably the best food place I have tried in Rohnert park, that felt well worth it. It is so appreciated these are all put in a box instead of a bag so the empanada do not leak but also do not get soggy. Service: 5/5 I ordered to pick up, but the lady who helped us was very kind. Wait time was about 15-20 min. The flowers in water she gave me with the order were a beautiful touch. Ambiance: 4/5 Although there is no seating inside, there are tables outside. I guess this could be a downside if planning to sit outside and it is raining or extremely hot. read more
