    Cochinita Pibil Tacos and Empanadas
    Chris M.

My family and I absolutely love this place. I thinks its some of the best Mexican food in Sonoma County. Prior to living in Sonoma County the only Mexican food I loved was either LA, Watsonville, Bay Area, or Mexico. This place is amazing. We have tried cochinita pibil Tacos, empanadas, panuchos, and tamales. I always get Cochinita Pibil tacos when I'm here and I'm slowly going through the meal. I've been here quite a few times and I just said before this is my favorite Mexican food in Sonoma County hands-down.

Hands down one of the most delicious food trucks in Northern California. Authentic Yucatan cuisine crafted by extremely thoughtful, talented and kind people. The owner has been cooking since she was a tween and her knowledge about Yucatan food really shows both in her food and in conversations with her. I drive 45 minutes just to eat at Yuca Mami's spot at Mitote Food Park. The tamales are so delicious and wrapped in banana leaves. I often get one to enjoy onsite then I take extras home with me and share with friends. The panuchos are probably the most authentic I've had in this area of the North Bay. So fresh and tasty. They also make cochinita pibil. All the tortillas are fresh made and they use exceptional quality corn masa. Tortilla quality makes a huge difference. Also, the hot sauces are serious business, including a classic Yucatan habanero salsa.

We had a phenomenal lunch from YUCAMAMI Sabor de Yucatán located at Mitote Food Park. We order 3 out of 6 of their menu items: Panucho, Empanada and Cochinita Taco. Not only were they beautifully presented, they smelled and tasted AMAZING. Every bite keep getting better. So fresh and flavorful! Two different chili sauces were included but I didn't feel the food needed it. I don't recall ever having Yucatán food before, my best description would be Peruvian + Mexican + Puerto Rican dancing together. Highly recommend, the owner Rosa (YUCAMAMI herself) was very kind and sweet. It's community seating outdoors. Please support them!

Omg these panuchos were soooo good! I would drive in from sf just for these! Such a unique twist. First time trying tacos like these. Went back for thirds! Lovely and friendly service too. Plenty of seating around.

Panuchos plate. It's 3 tacos but I ate one already, I do wish there was more chicken on it though.

Yup! Basically, everything everyone said. Amazing fresh yummy taco plate. I loved the pickled onions, avocado and cucumber. I do wish there was more chicken on the taco though. Otherwise, I'm excited to come back and try the empanadas.

Dropped into La Rosa for the first time in a while. Not sure why we're hadn't been here in a while,…read morebut thought we would give them a try again. We were quickly seated and the service was friendly. We sat on the patio to enjoy the warm evening. Decor in multiple zones all seemed nice. We had a margarita received some nice thin and crispy chips with some fire roasted salsa while we reviewed the menu. We started with the kale and citrus salad which was amazing and abundant. We really liked the grapefruit! We followed that with the steak fajitas, which were also enjoyed, though at $49 for a serving for one we felt they were pretty overpriced. Overall not too bad, though I would say the pricing is pretty high for what you get, though the quality is good, the value probably not so much, but it it a great location, so there is likely some tourist tax built into the menu.

It hurts me to have to give this place a one star but they messed up really badly today. Let me…read morestart by saying that this is usually a four or 5 Star place in my opinion. The food is good. The restaurant is nice. Usually, the customer service is great. Today is Sonoma Pride, and I thought I might cut them some slack. We've eaten here the previous 2 Sonoma Prides, and it had become a favorite. Today, we're a table of two as usual. It was busy like usual so we expected a delay. We were seated immediately. We watched people go. We watched employees (including the greeter who seated us) watching us look around for service after sitting in the sun for 20 minutes. No chips. No water. No, "We'll be right with you." We watched them seat a party of 4 after waiting for about 30 minutes. We watched them greet that party of 4 and take their drink orders within 2 minutes of being seated right next to us. That was it. We calmly walked to the front to calmly speak to the greeter who seated us and even looked at us a couple of times while we were seated. We explained why we were leaving. She talked over us defensively with hands raised saying, "I'm not a server." I hope they can do better after this review because they just lost loyal customers. We ended up going to a small local Puerto Rican restaurant that was equally busy. I will rate them shortly as they are now the new favorite. Customer service is golden, La Rosa. Not worth compromising.

It's no wonder this place is poppin' for the area…read more We have great p of ces that are more central to the Bay Area, but this place was great for the North Bay. Also, their horchata was soooooo good. I almost made my hubs go back in to order another. Highly recommend and would come back if we were in the area.

This review is solely about their billing practices. Their food is great, although it has gotten…read morereally expensive lately. When you're ready to pay, the portable payment terminal shows only the final total, without an itemized breakdown of the charges. If you pay by credit card, a 3% processing fee is added. I have no issue with the fee itself. My problem is that the sales tax is calculated on the total after the fee is added. The credit card fee should have nothing to do with the tax amount. Additionally, the suggested tip amounts are also calculated based on the total that includes both the sales tax and the credit card fee. Most customers expect tip percentages to be based on the pre-tax cost of the food and drinks. As a result, you end up giving a lot higher tip than you intended to. Because the payment screen does not show an itemized bill, it's very difficult to verify the charges or calculate a custom tip unless you remember the exact prices of everything you ordered. I hate when a restaurant's billing practice isn't transparent to customers.
