    Pomegranate margarita
    Julie M.

We stopped in for the first time after driving by many times. It's hidden from Piner Rd so out of site out of mind. We walked in and the young man greeted us to sit anywhere. We sat outside where it is was very pleasant. He came out shortly with the menu and chips and salsa. We really enjoyed their salsa. Service was great. We weren't forgotten outside as we were the only party out there. The servers were efficient, kind and personable. We really liked the pomegranate margarita on the rocks. Our order consisted of grilled chicken tacos and the macho burrito. The presentation was very nice. The portions were perfect for us. Took half of the burrito home. The taste of the chicken was ok. For my taste not enough spice. The pastor was decent. The only part of the burrito that was odd is they sprinkled Parmesan cheese all over the top. It didn't enhance the flavor it did the opposite. When you taste the sauce, cheese and the guacamole together it tastes almost sour. Not a great combo in my opinion. For the food it was on the pricey side compared to other restaurants. Overall good first time visit.

Friendly service, consistent food, prices on par, plenty of seating inside and out and enough options to keep everyone happy. My go to order is so simple - handmade tortillas & refried beans and/or the delicious al pastor tacos! Hubby has mixed feelings as sometimes he loves his dinner, sometimes not but either way, it's a nice spot for some tasty Mexican food. They have a few beers on tap that keep him happy as well!

    Al Pastor Chimichanga

I ordered online an Al Pastor Chimichanga for take out. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted quickly and my food was ready in the expected time. Portion was pretty good for price. Al Pastor kind of taste like bacon so it wasn't I was expecting but it wasn't bad.

In the neighborhood and thought we'd go check our old fav out knowing there was actually a new restaurant there. Staff was very friendly and portions were great! It did take quite a long time to get our food even though we were the only ones eating in. Tuesday kids eat free so we will check that out next time. Food was tasty and restaurant was very clean.

Chicken Enchilada Combo with pinto beans & rice

I stubbled upon this place getting in my steps. I was a first timer but had a taste for some chicken enchiladas. I was greeted and offered a table to sit. There was no one else there so my options were completely open. The waiter quickly brought me a menu with tortilla chips and asked if I would like something to drink? After my order arrived I began to eat, I couldn't help but notice all the eyes that watched me. Every so often I would take a bite and look around. The cook was watching me from the kitchen, the mother peered from the register, the daughter who greeted me also watched in silence, as well as my waiter. It felt creepy might I add. Right before asking for a to go container, a fly landed on my uneaten Spanish rice. That ruined it for me. I was no longer interested in taking the food home, but I left the restaurant with it. I thanked them tremendously before I left.

Food, service & ambience were all excellent. Ask for the pico and mix it with the salsa. You won't be disappointed. Great Al pastor too.

Horrible I do not recommend. Food was dry and the service was horrible. The salsas had no taste whatsoever.

Our waiter was very attentive and professional, and overall we were pleased with our experience. We ordered: Menudo: This comes with a pork hock and loooooots of tripas. My limes were a bit dry, but aside from that the flavor was very spot on and it was very filling. Tres leches french toast: Yummmmm, delicious! I'm not sure how 'tres leches'-y it was, but definitely milky, moist, and crunchy on the outside. It worked for me! Conchas: Ok this actually blew me away. I'm used to conchas being dry and not very satisfying, but these literally stayed soft DAYS after I brought them home. The souffle topping on top covered the entire top of the concha and this was an absolute delight. Honestly, best conchas I've had in the US so far. I wouldn't mind coming here again and trying other items. Personally, the loudness of the "birthday music" (reggaeton) was a little much for a morning/brunch hour, but people seemed to enjoy the hype.

Service is good! Had plenty of staff check in on me and make sure everything was going well. Pastrami taco was really good! Surprised to see it paired with kimchi but a pleasant surprise and gave me a bit of kbbq vibes. I'm Korean so I think the kimchi could have more bite or be more fermented but it's totally fine. Korean chicken thigh taco also super good. I think it'd be better to have this taco and the pastrami one switch their veggies but the usual black eyed pea slaw with the chicken was great too. Spicy crema could be spicier but that's personal preference and still went with the chicken great. I think the pastrami taco came out on top just by a smidge so I even ordered one more before grabbing my bill. This last taco came a little slower than the others but I wasn't in a rush. Definitely recommend asking for more slaw and kimchi to go with your tacos and make them loadeddd! I'll try to be back to try their larger plates!

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe.
