I had to come to the Burg from Venango County (where I live) to get the car serviced for my son who works nights, and they were very accommodating about getting me an appointment time that worked for my trip to town and back. And, they got me in the very next day after I called. They were courteous and got the work done quickly while I waited. Extremely rude owner! Went to fix leaking tire and was asking if they have 5 minutes to fix it since it was 4:55pm, considering it's closing time I was being really nice hoping they will help. The owner came at me yelling with attitude telling me how I dare to talk to his 12 year old grandson like that and telling me that they can't help me with my car. The guy look like he is ready to fight with the wrench in his hand. The thing is I was not even talking to his grandson but the lady at the front desk, his grandson just happened to be there. Don't go here even if your car is running on 3 tires, if they guy will be in mood I believe he has the courage to use the force! Unreal! read more

I drove the car into their lot to have some work done. 4 months later they called to say they couldn't fix it and that it no longer drives. Rather than take care of me, the owner let some mechanic offer me $200 to walk away from their shop. The punchline, it cost me $1800 just to fix their "work." And to make matters worse, the hot shot mechanic thought it was funny to ask me why it took me so long to get the car. Meanwhile I remember speaking to him on the phone. Anthony told me he'd call me with weekly updates after the car ran late on repairs by a month. As you can imagine, I never got any weekly updates. When I called in to see why he didn't call, I was just asked to leave my information and that someone's would get back to me, only to never hear from anyone. I'm not sure if y'all are made out of money and time, but if not, stay away from Vinny's tire. I'm not trying to post this negative review, but the shop has done nothing to help me and I know they'll do the same to you. read more

i did hours of work on a car with a friend and sent him and his car to this alignment shop after we finished because i read good things online. you can check the date on this paper as well as the car, almost everything was replaced, i made sure tie rod ends were loose and so were the tow arms in the rear so it would be easy. we asked you to adjust the rear, specifically asked for a 4 wheel alignment and mentioned that the rear was very far out, and needed adjusted badly, and your guys down here at this shop still just did a tow and go on the front end of this thing and stole my friends money. i will never bring you another car and i hope people stop paying you money for half assed alignments. read more

Zero stars. Minus if I could. This goes back to October. Went in for alignments and oil changes for my 2 vehicles. One vehicle: bad news. Need steering/handling parts. Anyway, long story short, while getting something else done at a highly reputable garage, they discovered that all the new parts that vinny's installed were LOOSE!! we're talking steering and handling here! Assemblies, arms etc. All LOOSE! $1400 worth of parts. Vehicle 2: bad news. Can't align without new parts. Parts installed. $900 worth. Decided to get these parts checked on too. Everything was tight but WRONG PART! Instead of the bolt going all the way and protruding like supposed too, it fell short of filling the hole. (I'm not a mechanic. I'm using layman's terms). I have documents and pictures of this. I don't have phone manners for something like this so I emailed vinny's about this with no response. Oh BTW, it's also a tire shop. But I had to remind "joe" 4 times to check psi in 1st vehicle. Didn't get chance to remind him on the 2nd vehicle. When I checked later there was 24 psi around!! Then I mentioned to vinny I should have gotten the wheels balanced and believe it or not he said all wheel drives do not need balanced. I said WHAT?? Then he offered to balance them all the next week. Sad. So consumer beware. read more

The people are nice and the prices are nice, but two things disappointed me. I had just bought four snow tires on steel rims from someone on craigslist and I wanted them put on. Two of the tires had only about 15 lbs of air, and I remarked that they looked low, but they never inflated them. I had to inflate the tires myself the next day. But more concerning is that these steel rims I had bought did not fit my car (I found this out 3 days later from another tire shop). The bolt pattern was the same (114mm) but the center bore (the hole in the middle) was smaller than my factory rims. They said they had trouble putting the rims on due to the rust, but they should have known it just wasn't the right size. I had a serious wobble for the next few days, and ended up junking the rims when the 2nd tire shop told me the problem. read more

I needed tires so I went here. A friend of mine told me about this place. They sell really good used tires and they also do alignments along with everything else you need. They are very professional and the employees focus on customer service. They go over everything with you, explain the pricing, do good work and made me happy. It's nice to know that they aren't trying to rip me off like Mr. Tire or Pep Boys. If you want excellent customer service, give them a try. read more

I had a bolt in a tire that I needed patched up, so I took my car to Pittsburgh General Tire to get fixed. Guy at the front desk told me he was too busy and to bring my car back the next day between 12 & 3. He quoted me $35. I brought my car back the next day, and the same guy said he was too busy and blew me off. I immediately took my car to Vinny's and had it fixed in 5 minutes for $15. Honest and nice service... will be returning to Vinny's Auto Service to get other work done in the future. read more

Vinny and Joe of Vinny's Alignment and Tires were a tremendous help with an issue my mother's 1996 Ford Crown Victoria had. My father and I had taken the vehicle to a number of shops closer to their home and were repeatedly told that the vehicle could not be aligned due to the lack of camber adjustment being available. This is something that can typically occur due to prior damage or worn parts. The trouble is that my parents have had this vehicle for the last 20 years and since it had 9,000 miles (it now has 4X,XXX) with it never having been in an accident and rarely striking a pothole. Given that the vehicle was wearing tires extremely prematurely, something was going to have to be done as this car is still too nice to send out to pasture. After a significant amount of research, I was led to Vinny's based upon their prior reviews and ratings online and felt that they were most likely our last chance and hope to get this resolved. Right from the start Vinny and Joe were both very professional and open and candid with regard to the entire process as well as about what they were doing. When all was said and done they WERE able to get the vehicle lined up, but they were also up front about the fact that they could only just get it into spec and not into the optimal range. Given the age of the vehicle, the appropriate camber kit to assist with fixing the issue is not available. With no obvious physical damage to the suspension parts, Vinny and Joe indicated that the only way to be most likely to fix the issue would be to replace the front suspension components on the vehicle. The price he quoted to do it, while as significant as you'd expect it to be for that type of work, seemed to be reasonable for the quality of parts he was intending to use. My parents are ultimately still unsure whether or not they want to sink the additional money into the vehicle based upon what they perceive to be the overall value of it, but the most important takeaway is that Vinny and Joe were able to do what other shops were not, which is to at least get the vehicle aligned so as to get it to the point where my parents can review their options without immediately getting rid of the vehicle. My parents and I want to thank them both for all that they did. If you are looking for a competent, talented, and reasonable alignment shop, I would suggest not looking any further and giving Vinny's a chance to correct your alignment issue. Even though this shop isn't geographically close for either my parents or I, I can't imagine going anywhere else if I had a vehicle with an alignment problem. Thanks again, guys!! read more
