I called before I went to Discount Tire to make sure they had the tire I needed in stock. When I arrived, they didn't have the tire in stock. I ended up buying another tire. they told me it would be a 30-45 minute wait. I've been here an hour and am still waiting... Good service starts with honesty. I came to Discount Tire for what should have been the simplest thing -- two tires replaced. Instead, it turned into an absolute disaster from start to finish. The associate first told me the two tires were $300 and charged me. Then he suggested replacing all four, but I told him no because the tires in the front were smaller than the tires in the back. So he told me that to "make it right," the two in the front should match the two in the back -- adding another $200 and bringing the total to about $500. I agreed and paid in full. Before anything was done, I asked a very basic question: Will one lug nut unlock both tires? The associate confidently told me yes. Over 30 minutes later, the mechanic finally came out and said the exact opposite -- that the lug nut wouldn't unlock the tire, that removing it could damage and strip the bolt, and that Discount Tire wouldn't be responsible if that happened. Obviously, I told them not to continue. Then the associate came back out and completely contradicted the mechanic, suddenly saying they could remove the tire and replace the lug nuts and everything would be fine. At this point, not only had I paid $500, but now I was being told two totally different stories about whether the job could even be done safely. When I asked for a refund, things only got worse: * I stood there for over 15 minutes being ignored by the team -- zero acknowledgment, zero urgency * Then I was told the refund could only be done by check and I needed to provide my address * After even more wasted time, they suddenly could refund to my card after all * The receipt I was finally handed didn't even match the situation -- it listed a rotation and rebalance, not the refund for the service they failed to perform In the end, I left with: * No tires installed * No real explanation * A wasted afternoon * And a receipt that doesn't reflect what actually happened This was an unbelievably unprofessional experience from start to finish. No communication, mixed information, no consistency between staff, no accountability, and zero respect for the customer's time or money. I walked in ready to pay and get the job done -- and instead I got confusion, delays, and complete incompetence.Discount Tire needs to seriously evaluate the way this location communicates both internally and with customers. Went for a tire plug which they did. But they told me my directional tires were on backwards which caused them to be worn down. I told them I had an inspection coming up and they told me I wouldn't pass the inspection without new tires. I declined their offer to put on new tires. Went to my inspection the very next day and I passed without issues. Mentioned the directional tire thing to the inspector and he said the tires were in the correct direction and nothing was wrong with my tires. I got to say this place is great. I have a four wheel drive sedan. One of my tires started showing staples. I had to get all my tires replaced. Most places I was going to wanted upwards of $800 for a new set of tires. This place got me out the door for $560 and took after pay. Service is the worst service ever. They only try to sell you their leftover tires. They told me that they only sell brand new tires, then when I went there they gave me tires from early 2024, it's like almost two year old tires. Additionally, they do not even know any difference between tires. Because they were only saying me "just get this bro, it's cheaper" meanwhile I went there to get what I ordered, not what they want. The reason why they did not provide me what I wanted is because they did not even make an order on what I'd told them multiple times on two calls. Not only they made me drive 16 miles twice making me wait two weeks for something that doesn't even exist in their stock, but they also did not even apologize at for not their mistakes even though I made a deposit for the specific tires that I wanted, saying "that's what we have". What made me so sick is that they were saying "everything is the same" meanwhile pointing at two totally different tires with totally different jobs. Laughed at me when they brought up my mileage saying I was over my mileage. However, I had my original receipt and proved them wrong, which had different mileage on receipt. I was a little early but was greeted at my car by Ben. He explained everything step by step. What really impressed me was that he mentioned what I put in the notes section online when I made my appointment. I didn't have to remember (lol) or bring it up. I needed my TPMS fixed on my tires. Ben explained all the warranty information (half of which I didn't know...very thankful for that). Just so happened I needed all 4 TPMS' replaced which costed me what I was quoted for 1 at another place! Nate, Andrew and Adam were the techs working on my vehicle. I was in at about 750am, my car went in within a few minutes and I was out at about 835am. When my vehicle was done the Tech brought me my receipt and keys. Recapped what was done and asked if I had any other questions. The gentleman at this location worked very efficiently and I will definitely make this my home tire store. The waiting area was clean and comfortable which is important because I usually have my child with me. Professional, efficient, informative, and just pleasant all around. 10/10!!! 5 stars. Thumbs up! Went to Discount Tire on Mcknight Road for new tires. When I got home, I walked around the truck to check out the tires. That is when I noticed four 2 inch long gouges on my passenger side rear door, Went back to Disocunt Tire and asked to speak to a manager. We went outside, I showed him the damage and he replied,"We could not have done that." I told him that , prior to gettting the tires, a rep and myself walked around the truck and there was no damage, The manager said he would contact the insurance company. OMG WOW I had a screw in my tire and it was leaking slowly. I stopped in at Discount Tire without an appointment around 1pm. The guys behind the counter where super friendly and extremely happy to help. The gentleman went outside with me to check out the tire and see if it could be fixed. We went back in and he said no problem at all fixing but it would be about 60 minutes would have me out by around 215. I said no problem fix it. To my total unbelief there was no charge for them to pull the tire off unmount the tire patch the tire then remount and balance tire, Even replaced the tire stem. I could not believe that anybody did anything for free anymore???? I asked again are you sure no charge at all??? He said they never charge to fix a tire as long as it is fixable of coarse. Discount Tire opened here around 1 year ago and that will now be my only goto tire store. Discount Tire really knows how to make a customer happy and to keep them. I was out by 215 with a fixed tire and at no cost. How can you beat that. Discount Tire has made a new customer for life. Super friendly fast customer service and excellent work. Big waiting room to relax and wait for car. One word of advice if you have a flat or a leaking tire or need tires call ahead and make an appointment. They do get busy and wait times can be long without an appointment, I got lucky and got there at just the right time. Definitely a five star performance. read more

Terrible. Had tires and wheels from Tire Rack shopped to Discount Tires/ All they had to do was to install the wheels on my BMW. Discount tires stripped my wheel locks using my original BMW key. Instead of taking responsibility they came up with different excuses like the key was old (a 6 year BMW key) or the wheel bolt was too tight etc. They simply said they could not fix it and I now need to go to a BMW dealer to have it fixed. So I left with a broken bolt key, a stripped wheel bolt, and wheels that were not mounted. Terrible service, never will go back. read more

These tires suck they pop more than any cheap set of tires I've ever had. The service technicians were great and helpful with that being said. It was more of the product not being that great. There are so many challenges with getting one's tires replaced and/or rotated. My wife and I have been in Pittsburgh many years and have tried multiple tire shops in the area with varying degrees of satisfaction. Discount Tire has a number of advantages over their competitors that are worth noting and that quite possibly might make them the place for you in the event that you have similar circumstances to us: 1. Many tires shops that we have patronized require you to leave your car at their establishment and come back later that day (or even tomorrow) to pick it up. This gives them the flexibility to swap your tires at a time that is convenient for them with little consideration for the fact that I won't have a car for the day. Discount Tire solves this dilemma with a 'no-appointment needed' policy and instant service. Go to their shop, wait in line - boom, you're done! The only suggestion I would make is to perhaps call and make sure that they have your tires in stock, which I commonly do. This assures that everything goes smoothly. 2. The second challenge that I have seen is pricing. Tire prices as a general rule are RIDICULOUS. Tire shops could pass blame onto the manufacturer, but that argument falls flat if ever you were to drive about two hours to a rural tire shop and find that the prices are literally cut in half. Same tires, same manufacturers - half the price. Thus, we have always found that Discount Tire lives up to their name - they have quality brands at discounted prices and only a short drive away from most parts of Pittsburgh. For me, the choice is pretty obvious: Good pricing, fast service and relatively nearby. The reason for the four stars (as opposed to 5) is that my wife had a single 'less than pleasant' experience with one of the employees there. Most of them are courteous and professional, but one of them really gave her a hard time and, as it turns out, was wrong in his estimation of the situation. I've been coming here for years to get new tires. This place only does tires so if you need anything else done before getting new tires, be sure to schedule an appointment with your mechanic prior to coming here. It can get CRAZY busy so I would recommend going early on the weekends or during the middle of the work day if you can. The location sneaks up on you, so drive slowly and get in line (which often snakes out of the driveway and into the street). For COVID safety, the guys had me stay in my car the entire time that they replaced my tires. The cost of these tires is at least half of what you would pay at the dealership. I mean this is a business and they sale tires so I wasn't shocked they tried to sell me new tires. I had planned on getting some new ones in a few months but since I was already here and I decided to get new ones. Front guy was nice and knowledgeable. He said it could take a little over an hour but it took about 45 minutes. I'm satisfied and will probably come back for more tires in the future. Waiting room was clean and comfortable. ZERO STARS wasn't an option. Their mistake = your financial loss. DISHONEST PRACTICES. ORDER ONLINE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! I was shipped the incorrect tire. It was labeled correctly on the shipping label from Discount Tire but the sidewall side was a 94 rather than the 91 I ordered. I didn't realize this until I drove off after having it mounted and realized something was wrong. Sure enough, after checking the tire itself, I realized it was incorrect. I contacted the Pennsylvania office where it was shipped from and after some back and forth, was told that despite it being a different tire than I ordered, their policy was no returns once a tire is mounted. This was entirely, 100% their mistake but they refuse to send me the correct tire, issue a refund (full or part), and refuse to work with me altogether. Plain and simple, this is the textbook definition of FRAUD!!! AVOID THIS BUSINESS OR YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ERRORS read more

Really nice people here. I purchased tires here last year and never got a call after two weeks that my tires came in. After giving them a call, they upgraded me to something a little better that they had in-store. I purchased the insurance to go with it. A year later, I got a nail in one of the tires and they stated it would need to be replaced. I was told it was covered by the insurance. It took a week for my tire to come in and it would be about an hour to get the tire replaced. What I didn't realize was that I would need to purchase the warranty again for the new tire. I would still come here but it would have been nice if they would have told me that the warranty is only a one time use deal prior to getting the tires. read more
