Stay away! He will not come by to tow cars - even when in a fire lane or clearly marked "No Parking" area. Explaining you are blocked in or our makes no different. I just got off the phone with him and he assured me "people are allowed to park there." Which is clearly not the case as I pay for this garage space. I think the only reason this company is still in business is because they are the only(!) company in Napa doing private property towing and because my HOA is contracted with them. I couldn't agree more with all the reviews left. Incredibly rude. Not only did he sound annoyed and half asleep when answering the phone, he also lied to me. When I called him back the next day to confront him about it, he replied that I had nothing to say and that he was going to hang up on me which he did. DO NOT USE THEM! In short, they are EXTREMELY unprofessional, ignorant, & rude! I'm very unhappy about my experience with them and would never recommend them to anyone. I was automatically transferred to Vine Towing through AT&T Roadside when I called for lockout assistance. I explained my lockout situation and coverage to the driver. He then asked for my location, gave me an estimated time of arrival, then asked me how I was going to pay for it (after I explained that I had roadside/lockout coverage and was calling through AT&T Roadside). I called around 10:00PM on a Saturday night and the driver responded in 10 minutes, which was within the time-frame he gave me. My husband who went out to meet him said that AFTER the driver unlocked our car the driver began to flash his light and inspect the inside of our car. He noticed a pack of cigarettes in the car and asked my husband if it was his and he could have one. We called for a lockout...that's it...so the driver had no business looking around inside our car after he finished what he was called out to do. The following night (Sunday) around 11:00PM the same driver came back to our house, rang the doorbell & knocked repeadtedly, and when we answered he explained that they hadn't received payment and wanted to get payment for the job. Not wanting to do business at that hour, we got a business card and said we'd look into it first thing the next day (Monday). The next day, I contacted AT&T to verify that the feature was still active on my account, and it was. I was transferred to AT&T Roadside who looked into it further and gave me payment information to give to the towing company. According to AT&T Roadside, Vine Towing who is contracted by AT&T Roadside, should have known the procedure on obtaining payment or, at the very least, should have known to contact AT&T Roadside directly about the issue. But the driver/company knew/did neither AND instead rudely disturbed us at an odd hour on a worknight. When I called Vine Towing to give them the payment information they needed, I asked to speak to a manager. The A-hole on the other end said "What do you need". I said I needed to speak to a manager. He patronizingly said "What do you need". Then I said I wanted to talk to a manager to give them information & to file a complaint. He then asked "What information do you have". I asked him for his name first, and in the same condescending way he replied "What do you need". I hung up and immediately called AT&T Roadside to file a complaint against the company and to write this review. I figure they deserve the one star for their prompt response time, but I'm very displeased with my experience with them. Today at Noon my car broke down in the pouring rain. I called my insurance company to request roadside assistance. They called Grapevine to come tow me. I got a text message at 1:23 PM telling me that Vine Towing would be there within 50 mins and to call them if I needed more info. At 2:17 PM I called simply to get a re-estimated time frame (As 50 mins had basically passed) I work on phones all day myself, and am well aware being nice on the phone is the best policy when calling into a company. So out of habit, I always start conversations very pleasantly, and would end a conversation before ever escalating a situation. I stated that my insurance company had contacted them for towing and I just wanted to know when to expect them, as it had been 50 mins. The man on the phone was extremely rude right off the bat, and in a 1 minute and 56 second call not only did he make me cry becuase I was very confused by his approach, but he canceled service and hung up on me after I told him I had been in the rain since noon. When my insurance called to ask why, he lied and told them he canceled due to maintenance issues. I obviously would suggest avoiding this company at all costs. How dare you do this to a woman stranded in the rain simply wanting to ask for a time frame. read more

My vehicle was told towed without my knowledge because it was left by a third party in Safeway parking when it wasn't registered. I had moved and didn't get a bill for quite a while. It was for $600. I called to a copy of the invoice as lost it. The person answering the phone, was kept saying I was wrong and didn't have my facts straight. I just wanted a copying of the invoice. He then hung up on me. If you want deal with a company that has good customer service this is not it. Also He said they were never related to Always Towing, and pick and pull said they were. From a business owners perspective, this company explained everything I needed to keep my private property area free from unwanted vehicles. He recommended which signs to use to alert vehicle owners to not park in the lot as well as offered to give us signs with the company's info if the vehicle is towed. He was nice an accommodating as well as informative on how to start contracting with his company. He also alerted me to some vehicles he saw recently in our parking lot. I feel I will will be making the right decision by contracting with this company. I will pay another review after our contract is final. Bottom line people, DO NOT park somewhere where it says not to park. Your car will be towed. It's happened to me before, and yes I was mad, but I have no one to blame but myself. If someone borrowed your car and parked it there, then maybe you shouldn't lend your car out. I have no sympathy for people who don't use common sense. Sleazy little place at the end of an alley, just what you would expect for the type of service rendered. We went down to check on a stolen vehicle that police had them tow, and there are no hours posted (someone ripped the sign which now only says open Mon-F....ripped sign, then below it it says closed from 12-1. We showed up at 1155 and the guy that answered the phone said they were closed on weekends and they wouldn't let us in. Horrible services they have a contract with the apartment complex, but they ignore the tenants, a family member parking spot was taken for more than a day and they were called many times, they just didn't show up, just kept finding excuses to not go and do their job, we kept calling but they refused to answer anymore. The worst experience I've ever had. We left my car parked outside our garage for an hour. We had just lost a close family friend and stoped by to see my mom for a short time. When we went outside the car was no longer there. When we called the man he charged us an extra 100$ because it was a couple minutes after midnight. After having to PAY ONLY CASH, he finally released my car only to find out my lights inside would not turn off. I called and asked him what button he might have pressed because my lights weren't functioning properly. He immediately became very defensive and said he had nothing to do with it. This is the worst towing company ever! I had my car towed in Vallejo and the next morning at 7AM I went to go try and get my car back. I kept calling and calling the companies phone number and a second phone number that the police gave me. Both numbers went straight to voicemail after calling hundreds of times and even left two voicemails. I just wanted to get my car back because I even had an appointment for maintenance that day and had to go to work. It was very frustrating having to wait there and keep calling for hours for someone to show up or to even answer a phone. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. read more

The driver randomly cruses through my neighborhood looking for any violation he can find and then proceeds to tow the car without any warning, notification to the home owner, etc. One evening I caught the driver about to tow my car that was parked directly in front of my house. These people towed my brand new jetta and when I went to go pick it up it had a giant scratch running down the side of the vehicle. I contacted the owner and he told me there was nothing he would do about it. Then when I looked in the trunk I realized my watch and my daughters diamond encrusted watch for her bday had been stolen out of the trunk of my vehicle! These people cover themselves because they are not liable for loss or damage. They're a bunch of low life, disgusting, thieving, scums of the earth. Stole my daughters birthday present! OK, well if the manager was there to call you, I would obviously have them call. What the fuck do you do on the weekend? This is definitely a convo for the management company, HOWEVER, this review has everything to do with how fucking rude the guy who answers the phone is. Wouldn't it be awesome if this place went out of business? He was literally mocking me for not knowing the emergency weekend number. i wasnt happy that the service was used against me but i have to put honesty where it needs to be... the company simply did as they were told to do. when i had my friend call over for me explaining my situation dave lowered the bill from 330 to 250. he didnt have to as it was not his fault sci-tech staffing management was an making a menace of itself!!! i appreciate the break. my only suggestion would be regarding the name and address thing which may take time.... sci-tech staffing has old outdated ones im certain but refer to anytime towing which when searched on google comes up as closed, and pictures of where i went to get my car shows as competing tow yard. while i didnt like being towed without valid reason - i am happy with the work you do for your contracted employers. read more

As stated in a previous remark, one star is too high for this. My daughter was moving into her new condo. I parked my car behind her car and across from my best friends a condo in the same complex. I had permission and was not blocking anyones entrance or exit. I was unloading things in my car. I was in her house approximately 10 minutes when we saw a tow truck cruising the area. I was outside in literally one minute to find my car already mounted on the tow truck. I approached the tow driver, told him we were moving and that I had permission from both condos to park there. He said "lady, I have hear all the excuses". He said I could pay him $100.00 now or $360.00 from the tow yard. He was rude, unprofessional and uncaring. When I tried to find Vine Towing to complain, they have no website to put in a written complaint. I have let the managers of the complex know and my daughter will attend the homeowners meeting to complain. It is one thing for a neighbor to complain and another for a tow truck to cruise looking for business. I find this appalling. read more

Recently my son had his truck towed by Vine towing due to his unpaid fines. Vine Towing ended up keeping the truck due to the thirty days that they had it which would of cost 200 for the tow and $60.00 dollars a day for storage, the truck was not even worth what they wanted to get it out, all I wanted was the tools that were in the truck and the owner said everything in the truck was thrown away, I might add that the tools value was $650.00, If anyone knows about snap on tools they are not cheap, I feel insulted that the owner would give an explanation like that just to get rid of me, I was polite but that did not matter, the company cheats and lies to their customers, this is a very unprofessional company that will do anything to fill their pockets save yourself the headache and stay away from this company read more

I just received a notice in the mail saying I owe Vine Towing $2800.00 for a vehicle that was towed by them and for storage fees. I own my own house and have plenty of parking in Santa Rosa, CA for all of my vehicles. I have never used their service on any vehicle. When I called Vine someone answered the phone and stated that it might be a vehicle that I had sold. I haven't sold a vehicle in over 2 years so I am still unsure of what vehicle he is talking about. The notice I received from Lien Enforcement, Inc is extremely vague and does not list any vehicle information on the notice even though the Vine Employee advised me it would be on there. He stated he cannot look up the vehicle without the license plate number or my name. I gave him my name and he abruptly advised me to call the collection agency. I stated that he can look up the vehicle by my name. Obviously if Vine has taken the time to report a vehicle of mine to a collection agency they would have my name on file along with the vehicle in question. So I hung up the phone and called the collection agency. Well today is Saturday on a holiday weekend so I cant get anywhere with them until Tuesday and I would like to get this situation handled as soon as possible. So I called Vine back and stated the collection agency was closed and I cannot get ahold of them. The employee then laughed and said "yeah because its the weekend." I disregarded his attitude and advised him that I have clients who are towing company owners who I just spoke with and they advised me that he should be able to look up the car by my name. I asked again if he can look up the vehicle in question by my name and he refused and stated "damnit just call the collection agency" and proceeded to hang up the phone. He literally swore at me and hung up the phone like a child. There was absolutely no customer service. No trying to help the customer in any way shape or form. I feel belittled and wronged in the utmost way. I completely have nothing to do with this debt and it could be a simple mistake at the DMV and all I want to do is clear up the situation. It would not only help me but it would also help them find who the real owner of the car is so I am absolutely astounded at the behavior of this company and its employees. My sons father did own this business until recently when he passed away from a heart attack. My son is only 16 and he could have had this business to either sell or have the business for himself. His dad had a driver working for him who has totally ruined the company name from what I can tell. He also has been robbing the company blind by doing cash jobs from what I am learning. Thank goodness for social media. Upon my sons fathers death the driver was told to park the trucks at the house until we could come down from Lake Tahoe and figure out what we were going to do. Instead the driver has been driving the trucks and making money that should be going to my son. We have had the business closed and cancelled the business license. As of today David is still claiming to be vine towing but is doing business without a business license. When we went to try and pick up trucks he threatened my son and told him he was going to knock him out. He also said vulgar things to my sons girlfriend. He claimed that the title is in his name and if so he has had to forge documents as my son has the title in his possession. The other trucks are nowhere to be found. I hear that this guy tows cars and takes them to a chop shop in Vallejo. Looks like we are going to have to take this jerk to court and hopefully recoup some of the losses that this jerk has stolen from my son. Do not use David at all. He is a thief and he is operating a business that is no longer a business. Hoping to get trucks back tomorrow with a police escort. We are in Napa to pack up a house that we only have access to until Sunday and now we have to deal with this on top of everything else. Tonight I was dropping off my granddaughter at her apartment complex. When I drove into the parking lot the "Vine Towing" truck almost cut me off on the thoroughfare...rude - because they saw me coming. The truck then pulled out behind me and followed me to where I stopped my car to let out my young granddaughter. The 2 men in the truck yelled at me "DON'T DO IT!" Apparently they didn't want me to stop where I was going to (there were no parking slots available.) I told them I was just walking my granddaughter to her door and while I did - they tried to hook up my Mercedes to their truck! What a couple of major loser-jerks! Thankfully, my son-in-law happened to see what was happening and came to my rescue. I was gone about 15-20 seconds. I told them that they must not have much else to do. I think they should do their drinking (or whatever they're doing at home). They could also use an anger management class. These guys are total SLEAZE BUCKETS! My truck got towed out of my parking spot because my apartment complex manager is full retard. Vine towing is who my apartment complex goes through for tows. I called Vine to see if they got my truck and the kid on the phone was rude. I asked if he got my truck, "yea we got it". How much to come get it? "350$. When are you gonna come get it?". I explained that the manager at my complex had my vehicle towed even though I'm a resident and in the correct parking spot and he responded with "oh well there's nothing I can do. It's gonna be 350$ when are you gonna get it?". It's not their fault completely but $350 to tow my truck 5 miles is freaking ridiculous. The guy I dealt with at the tow yard was actually pretty cool but the tow yard doesn't have change! So I had to pay $360. Thank god I didn't go in with just $100 bills. I'll be at the next CHP, sheriff or local PD tow hearing to voice my complaint and get these guys tossed off rotation if theyre not already banned from it already.. Anyways, after reviewing my receipt the tow was only $200... That's all it says on my receipt.. 200$...After I paid the gentleman wrote $360 on it as paid. I left and saw this and the place was now closed. So I'll be contacting my lawyer in the morning and the BBB. And if any of these guys harass you like I've been reading, contact the local police department immediately. It's ILLEGAL AS ALL HELL for them to do that.
