Well, last night I needed a tow really late at night and this the Blackhawk towing was right there. They didn't take a long day to respond. Usually, you have to wait like 1 to 2 hours. Brought my car in with the mirror I ordered online to see if they would be able to replace the mirror on my drivers side mirror and give an estimate. A mechanic inspected my car and the part I brought in and said they would be able to repair it. I scheduled an appointment, which I had to miss work for only to be told AFTER I already dropped my car that the mechanic would no longer be able to repair it since the mirror I ordered was not from the Acura dealership.. I brought in my car previously for another repair job, because my car insurance recommended it and would be paying for it. Blackhawk kept my car for longer than what was initially quoted and continued to up the charges for the repair. They did not use original Acura parts for this repair by the way. My guess on why they did not want to repair my mirror is because they were not going to make a lot of money on it. The receptionist provided poor customer service, had zero affect and was just as shady as the rest of the workers here. read more

BE AWARE DO NOT USE THIS SHOP, by far the most unprofessional shop that I've ever dealt with, even if it's through a AAA Claim. No communication or updates, they slap your car together hoping it sticks. Had my car repaired for some front end damage, during the process they never called and gave any updates unless I called, got the car back and it still needed some parts (back ordered no problem) and they put some tape on it which came off after a 15 minute ride home. Then the no calls or updates again, did they forget about me?Are the parts not in?Anything? So probably the 2/3rd time calling the parts magically appeared, at this time I was completely fed up with them. They said they needed the car a few hours then it changes to half the day then for the whole day and the entire time they were not being accommodating at all, which this would probably be the 4th trip back to shop. The owner gets involved and gets my car picked up and repaired with also a complete detail (thank you). But not long (couple of weeks) after the the front bumper is coming off at several different locations and the overall work is pretty ridiculous, so I take it back (5x) now and a new manager is here to supposedly fix this place for lack of quality, he gives me his word and tells me that he is ordering the necessary parts and will be calling me next week, well that's been probably a month or two ago. I'm done with them, AAA can't even get any answers as well. Time to move on but sucks another shop has to fix it. read more

Brent Blackwood was the guardian angel who came to my rescue last weekend when I was visiting Napa and my rental car side railing got damaged. Even though he wasn't supposed to be working on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, he dropped what he was doing to meet with me. He immediately identified the problem and clearly explained the solution. I thought at best I would get a quote. But he then got the work right there on the spot. I feel I can't give a full 5 stars, but with how it all turned out, I give 4. Thanks Lisa for being human. Here's what happened: I was in a major car accident in June and the police made the call to have my car towed from the scene. The driver asked where I wanted it towed, and he offered the shop as an option. I was pretty shook up and didn't know what else to do at 5am on a Sunday, so I agreed that was the best spot. He dropped me off at home, which was very kind, and off went my smashed up car. Never having been in a wreck like this, I was not aware of the $65/day storage fee, which I felt would have been important for the driver to share this information. So, needless to say, I was pretty shocked when I realized there was $260 owed for storage on top of a $250 tow to go 3 miles! Perhaps these figures are standard, but I think that if someone is in the business of hauling people and their damaged cars after major accidents, at least a little bit of 'hand holding' would be reasonable in explaining the fees of service, even if the customer doesn't ask. I was practically in shock, and questions I probably would have asked if I had a broken axel or something just didn't roll off my tongue. With just this piece of the story, I would give very low rating. But, I had a conversation with Lisa, the owner, and explained my perspective. She still backed up her driver and felt it wasn't his responsibility to offer the pricing info when I didn't ask, but, she was also very compassionate regarding my whole situation, and actually REFUNDED a portion of my storage cost! Nobody is perfect and on any given day people can be on top of their game or not. Including me. (even the accident was totally my fault, case in point!) But, to me, how things are resolved speaks much louder than any one specific incident. I am a people person, and highly respect when people can 'clean up messes' thru communication, and find some middle ground. I appreciate the gesture Black Hawk made to make things right, and want to make sure they are acknowledged for good business customer service! read more

Recently, I found myself coming here after being in an accident that resulted in major damage to my beloved sports car. Even when my insurance seemed to be dragging their feet, Brent made sure to contact me as often as possible with updates. Brought in my Totaled Nissan the other day and Marty helped me retrieve my items from the trunk of my car. This guy didn't just help me, he went to WORK. After taking my car back to the dealer and having them send me to a body shop across the street that said they would have to replace multiple components to my car and I'd need to contact my insurance...I was worried. I just bought my car, know nothing about cars and was not keen on spending even more money on my car. I contacted my insurance and the claims adjuster recommended these guys. The claims adjuster said it may even be a quick fix that wouldn't cost me much of anything so the next day I dropped in without an appointment. The owner, Brent, was very nice and was able to take a look at my car immediately. The car door was fixed in a matter of about ten minutes and was such a minor job that they didn't even charge me for it. My car door looks and opens perfectly now! Knowing that my insurance carrier works with them, I don't want to say I'd be excited to work with them at some point but I feel good knowing that when I need a body shop for some more serious work I have a very good one to go to. read more

Esperanza was wonderful and really went out of her way to make sure all my questions and concerns were answered quickly and efficiently. I've had all my body work done here by the guys at Blackhawk and it has always been top notch! They've always been on top of notifying me when things have come up while repairing the vehicle and just some of the most friendly bunch of people to work with! But what brings me to this review is nothing big, but something small, and in the end it's the little things that add up to something great. I called last Thursday and spoke with Brent about getting an emblem removed off my new car that didn't tickle my fancy. He just told me straight that it would take fifteen minutes and that would cover removing the emblem and polishing up the area. He then told me it would be on the house. Which brings us today, I show up but Brent was out to lunch, but Martin steps up and without question honors Brent's deal of on the house and less than fifteen minutes later it's done and I'm on my way! This was probably the worst experience I've had at a body shop. The communication and honesty at this business is sorely lacking. When I originally took my car in for an estimate, I was quoted a price that was still a bit pricey, but within reason. I was given the run around, and they had a problem committing to a time they could complete the job. When I brought it in after weeks of waiting, they came back with a much higher rate than previously discussed. When I told them I would look elsewhere due to frustration, they were rude and couldn't care less. After asking If they were sure they couldn't do the original price they ran the information again and returned with her another outrageous price. Nothing about this place is positive. I highly recommend look elsewhere for a place that can properly give an estimate without ripping off a young woman. read more
