I stopped in for an estimate, as I had swiped a column in a tight parking space in San Francisco which left a big smear on the passenger side door and rear panel. This would be an out of pocket repair and I overheard that they were scheduling work into August! Needless to say, Ron, the owner, came out and took a look at it and asked if he could try and remove the paint with a solvent. He got the paint off and it wasn't near as bad as I thought. He didn't charge me which was unexpected and I appreciate that he offered to try the solvent, as there wasn't a dent. I've taken my old PT Cruiser here 3 times. Twice several years ago and again yesterday. Each time has been an excellent experience. Hadn't been there in years but Ron the owner still remembered me. I ran to write this review. The superlatives are warranted. The price was super reasonable (it was out of pocket, not covered by insurance), for a minor repair, which they handled with perfection, but on top of it, they did extras, an overall cleaning of my car which wasn't part of the job: buffed out yellowed headlamps, washed my windows, which were full of rain residue, clean and dressed my tires, it's like WTH :) I don't know who these people are but they put businesses to shame and at this point they're running laps around everyone and laughing I'm sure as they are the gold standard. My car was in a hit and run accident, the damage was not terrible. I had a bumper shifted and a headlight out. I took my car here to be replaced, I read all the great reviews on yelp and decided to give them a go. To my disappointment, I actually felt frustration with how much miscommunication was exchanged between the staff and myself. A job that should and could have been done in a week took this shop THREE weeks to do. When I finally got my car back I was so excited to get away from the shop after dealing with all the miss communication that I didn't think to do an inspection myself to see how well the job was done. Once I took the time to look at my vehicle after getting home the bumper was uneven. I went back to their shop immediately and "shockingly" what ended up happening was my car needing to stay at the shop yet ANOTHER DAY. I mean, seriously? Ron, the manager did hear me out on my frustrations and even he told me "we have failed you in every way". Update! My car was scratched and I called my insurance to set up a claim and they told me to have it quoted, Ofcourse I decided to go to non other then Soscol Auto Body. I happened to be driving by and thought I'd stop in for a quick quote. Dan came over to look at it and had a feeling it was a easier job then I had suspected. He took it into the garage and NO JOKE in less then 7 minutes he had sanded, removed the bad scratch across my bumper and put a top coat!! Can't even tell anything happened! Before I banged the sled up, I had no idea that many shops are booked a month or more out. I went to Advance Auto Body where my wife had some work done, but I was greeted with a giant middle finger. Hmmm... bummer. So I went to Soscal, where they were also booked two months out, but the friendly and helpful staff saw that my car was basically undrivable, and they squeezed me in! Next time your good friend Tim comes to town, borrows your car, parks it on a steep hillside, and rolls it forward into the huge unforgiving steel bumper on the truck parked just in front of him, you'll want to know about this place. They were great, starting with opening up early on the day I showed up for an estimate. The estimate was reasonable to replace my bumper (sigh), they did the work when they said they would, the actual price was less than estimated, they washed my car, and they even put air in the tires before giving it back to me (the low pressure warning light had just come on when I dropped it off for the work). Tim's coming back next month to visit, and he'll be borrowing my car again. Fingers crossed, but if there's another mishap ("I swear it was in reverse"), I'd use these folks again in a heartbeat! I recently had to have repair work done on my vehicle due to a minor auto accident. Soscol Auto Body was one of several on the list of approved repair places provided to me by my insurance company. I checked the Yelp reviews of various repair shops and saw that Soscol Auto Body had numerous positive reviews, so I selected them. I was very pleased with the level of service provided by everyone I dealt with at Soscol Auto Body, both on the phone and in person. When I walked into their office, I was greeted courteously by staff. The owner, Ron, happened to pass by and greeted me. He noticed that I had some paint transfer on the back bumper of my car from when I backed into my own garage (unrelated to the reason why I had taken my car to their shop in the first place) and had one of his guys buff the paint transfer off right then and there. I was given a quote and I arranged to have my car repaired. Because they are very busy, the actual date to drop my car off for repair was not for several weeks, but I understood that from the beginning. I also rented a car directly from Soscol Auto Body while my car was in the shop, and got a 2017 Toyota Camry to drive - very nice! My repair took a bit longer but it was not due to any fault on the part of the body shop. Throughout the process, every single individual I dealt with was pleasant, courteous and professional.
