As an avid 'Yelper' I used Yelp to find a local auto body shop and stumbled upon the rave reviews of Valley Auto Body. After reading the multiple 5 Star reviews, I figured I should pay them a visit to give me a quote for some work I needed done on my Ford Excursion. At first, I was hesitant as teir location is not really in the best spot. Pay close attention as you have to drive down a side alley way to get to the shop. I was immediately greeted upon ariving and provided with a prompt quote. They took photos of the work requested and noted my information. A few days later, I received an email with a quote for the serivce needed. The work I required was to repair the flaking factory paint on the rear door and door jambs as well as to repair the minor surface rust on the roof rails. I noted that they listened closely to my concerns as they also made optional line items to paint the faded roof rack system and the rear hatch trim piece. Still a bit hesitant, I took the car to another local shop for a second opinion. I'm sure glad I did that. It only proved that Valley Auto Body was the place to go. The second shop quoted me well over 3x the price and warned me several times that this was just a "starting price". I quickly called Oscar to schedule the truck in for service. I was surprised when he promised the car to be done in 5 days. I dropped the truck off on a Monday and Oscar was kind enough to give me a ride home. During the week, Oscar kept in good communication updating me of the status of the work. I even added some work for them to paint the automatic steps with the spray on bedliner material. Come Friday, Oscar was true to his word and the truck was done. We looked over the work and both agreed that the work was up to my expectations. The truck looked better than new as the truck was VERY clean! The work was done well and no corners were cut! When I got home later that evening, I realized that in the bright sunlight, I overlooked a small section where it appeared that there may have been a spot that was missed in the 'buffing process'. I waited until Monday to contact Oscar about the spot in question. As soon as I got in touch with him, he was very helpful and asked me to bring the truck in that same day. I brought the truck in that afternoon and no more than 15 mintes did it take for them to correct the issue. As others have pointed out, this place has EXCELLENT customer service and is a real bargain! I love promoting local shops and especially shops that provice a great service. Now I understand why they have been around for quite a while now in Napa and continue to stay in business. Oscar and his shop used to be good, so when one of my guys wanted to take the car here, because he had a family connection to the the shop manager Chris that could save him money for the repairs, I didn't hesitate. Oscar's shop does good work, so no problem. Unfortunately, when the vehicle was returned, the bumper did not match the fender. When this was pointed out, we were told that it was not possible to match paint between a plastic and metal finish, that NO SHOP could do so. Huh?!? I have 3 vehicles (including this one repaired/replaced previously), all the same red color, that have been done by Mike at Advanced Auto Body, that beg to differ. They all match, or matched, perfectly. When it was pointed out to Oscar that many shops, including his in the past, were able to match plastic and metal paint, he did offer to attempt to remediate the issue, but with the caveat that he "couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't look worse." Ya, that's what I want, someone to make it look worse than it does, so that it costs me even more to have someone competent repair the damage he's done. The next day, after making this statement, the first review in 3 years they receive is about how great they did a color match. By someone that created their Yelp that day, with no friends, or other reviews. Just goes to show how little effort Yelp puts into screening reviews. Needless to say, I will now be paying Advanced Auto Body to correct this "repair." And as the majority of the expense is prepping and paint, cost almost what was paid to Oscar in the first place. As I know he does know how to do it properly, I've seen it in the past, I can't help but wonder, did he order an after-market, pre-painted bumper and never even tried to match it, or if he cut corners to cut costs, and didn't prep the bumper properly for paint? One thing is clear, this is no longer the shop it once was. Oscar's "explanation" shows that he is no longer an honest businessman. His offer to potentially make it worse, is downright shady. Too bad too, we were really hoping to have him do our daughter's 65 Mustang Fastback, now that his brand new facility is operational. After this experience, I wouldn't trust them to paint anything. read more

We are super happy with their service and topnotch work we have taken our two cars for repair, 13 Mercedes GL and 11 Lexus RX. First time we use them, was last year on May for the 13 Mercedes GL just before I had to drive a VIP for Bottlerock in Napa. A dear friend recommended Valley Auto Body, so I call them. I talked to Oscar Llamas, later on the same day, I got emails from Chris. When I explained them about the incident and situation, he felt sorry for me, and got me in to repair it right away. I felt very appreciated because their costumer service was extremely professional, very friendly, conveniently fast, and easy to understand. Any ways, my Mercedes got fixed and it looked like brand new, like it never had happened. This is second time I used their services, and I experience the same efficiency, convenience, and professionalism when took my Lexus. This one time, they just repaired a windshield. I contacted them last week on Friday , Chris send me an estimate via mail for insurance, I forward it to insurance, the insurance approved it with in 2 business days later, we had new windshield. its awesome!. My mom always said "leave it in better condition than you found it" and I have to say that Oscar and team work by this philosophy! And I usually never feel a great need to leave a review but Valley Auto Body deserves the recognition. After readjusting my original insurance claim quote to account for details the "vetted" previous auto shop missed, Oscar was able to return my vehicle to me even better looking then when I left it. The whole process was seamless! They took care of dealing with my insurance company and I left out the door with a nice discount to my deductible as well. The shop was highly referred by a friend and from the reviews I looked over before calling them up, I can confidantly say this is the only place you should be looking to do repairs. No one ever wants to get in a car accident and have to take their car to the body shop but I have to tell you about the great service I received from Oscar and Chris at Valley Auto Body.
