The car was rear ended and I thought the autobody place was going to take 2 months as I had previously used g&c in Vallejo horrible service. My Honda was returned in 2 week time frame, looking beautiful and radiant as ever as if no collision ever took place. I was nervous the tire would be wobbly and Nick ensured the car underwent a diagnostic before returning the car. I was nervous and explained I often use highway 37 and I did not want to be stranded there. Caliber team made sure the car was safe to drive away. I wasn't going to write a review on these guys but after further inspection of my chevy avalanche I changed my mind. I have Mercury ins. They said that Caliber would do the inspection and repairs if I choose. No insurance appraiser necessary. So, my estimate was including everything I expected until Mercury sent an appraiser to look at it also. Long story short, Caliber would have to Butt Match my paint instead of fading into the from door. White Diamond Pearl is the color. First paint job, Not good match. Second paint job, not a good match. Going into 3 weeks now when it was supposed to be done in 1 week. Now the painter is mad because he has to paint it a third time. In the middle of all this the painter called in 2 Mondays in a row. 3rd time is a charm. I went and picked it up on 6/18. The paint was finally acceptable. I went to the store and when I got home I looked at the repairs a little closer in the shade. They never fixed the dent in the door where the repair damage started. The dent is still there. You would think after sanding that area 4 times, they would have noticed the dent. Caliber will never touch any of my 3 vehicles again! They should have fired their painter and subbed out the paint job. BEWARE shady work!! read more

After having a bumper replaced on our Toyota truck, and sharing the cost with the insurance company, we received a call saying they were having difficulties finding the part and it would be more money for us than we expected. We agreed to pay the extra and we picked up our truck and all was well. We received a call three months later saying they had miscalculated the cost for us and we owed them over $300!!! It really seemed like some type of a scam. If they made a mistake and it took them three months to find it that sounds cery odd and we told them "No" we're not paying anything more than we did. There was great communication and once I brought in the car with the minimal damage they were able to fix it on the spot. Everyone else I say wanted to replace the full bumper. Through a partnership with GEICO, I was referred to Caliber Collision which made the entire process easy and seamless. The estimate was emailed, claims was processed and work began immediately. To no fault of Caliber Collision, there were delays in getting the last part delivered (bumper). As a result, the car took two extra days before it was ready. In the end, the fit, paint and finish looks as good as new. Justin, who provided the estimate and my point of contact, was excellent to work with. One minor oversight was the door guard edge that was removed when the door was painted. I took the car back to Justin a few weeks later and they quickly installed a new one and without asking even washed the car. I am extremely dissatisfied with my repairs and numerous other issues I encountered with my experience. I do not recommend this location to anyone. The repairs have failed less than a week after the return of my vehicle, which took almost 2 weeks longer than originally estimated. I was told halfway through that it was completed and it was still missing clips and misaligned bumper. The customer service has been poor from day one except the service writer. He tries hard but still in the end this place has failed. I am horrified to even have them fix it and what will I drive in the meantime? I can't pay for a rental oop. read more

If I could give zero stars I would because this place gives zero f's how your car is returned. I had a catalytic converter work done there and at pick up the car was not returned in the way it was dropped off. I.e. back seats all the way down, mechanic floor mat left in it, battery competent in the back won't go back in. I watched the kid pull out a jumper, pull it off jump the car then not put it back on. Well now it won't go back on in at all. The place is a fucking joke, and when I called up to complain t the guys handling the call was a sarcastic asshole. First off the only reason I used CC was because everything...car rental, deductible and 100% lifetime warranty was provided through the insurance company of the guy that hit me. With that being said my experience at CC wasn't bad, but not the best. I brought my car in on a Tuesday and Cody ( my assigned tech) told me it might be ready by Friday. The damage was actually minimal requiring a bit of body filler, and a coat of paint and top coat. On Friday by 1:00 pm I hadn't heard from them so I called. No it wasn't going to be completed until Monday or Tuesday. IMHO they should have reached out to me that day. It was completed on Tuesday and off I went to pick up my baby and get rid of the "Tuna Can" rental I drove for a week. BTW...I once again had to call on Tuesday as nobody contacted me. Upon inspecting the work I noticed a bubble where the bumper meets the main part of the body. Cody was a bit flustered and told me it was going to have to be repainted. He could get me in the following Wednesday after the 4th of July. CC paid for another rental car for 2 more days. So I just went to pick it up and after inspection there was a long strip in the front that whoever did the final buffing missed??!! Good Grief! Ok, so Cody pulled it back into the shop and had it taken care of but common guys. Overall I was satisfied with the results. Two suggestions however. Keep your line of communication open with the customer and perhaps the owner should examine his employee's work before it leaves the shop? Four eyes are always better than two. read more

I've had three cars repaired at Cooks (not Caliber) Collision. Two repairs were flawless and worked easily with my insurer (Geico). The other repair has been a bit of a hassle though: pine cone left a dent on my car's roof, they repaired it nicely but a year later the bondo or filler cracked. They repaired it again but that meant another trip there to get an appointment (they reasonably needed to see the failed repair before agreeing to warranty it) and another three days without a car. But the repair FAILED AGAIN another year later. They are not under a different name (Caliber) but most the staff are the same or from another Cooks shop. Again had to take it there to confirm it was their repair that failed and again will be without a car for 2-3 days. The plastic trip under the damaged roof is now loose and I don't know why that wasn't initially repair (or why it wasn't the second time when the looseness actually got worse, probably from being removed again). This time the staff suggested they'll need to simply replace the whole roof ... we'll see. Update: Caliber took on the problem and replaced the whole roof of my car. Unfortunately there are a couple minor issues (a trim piece on the roof is slightly bent, the rear view mirror is not strongly re-glued back to the windshield and it wiggles/vibrates when it's hot out). But they did fix the roof. read more

YOU TRUST JOHNNY, Manager and GREG (Samoan). They trustworthy and competent! Johnny, Manager and Greg, the Samoan (?), are absolutely fabulous persons. In addition to being honest and trustworthy, Johnny and Greg care about their customers, placing the customer first. I have had several auto events requiring me to have body work completed on my car, and I will never go to another body shop in the future. I know I can trust their judgement, rely upon their honest advice and depend upon their professional attention to project as a whole and to every detail. As an example, my bumper required maintenance about 2 yrs outside the warranty which was not their fault. It was simple wear and tear. Johnny, Manager helped to explain how I could easily fix the problem myself for about $30 rather than spending $1800 for a new bumper. (If Greg had taken the call he would have been equally as helpful). Hi everyone I just want to stop by and warn everybody not to come to caliber collision in Napa. I took my car in for a car accident and when I got it back my lights were turning on and off by themselves. Another of the problems that I Encountered with them is the gaps on my vehicle. They said that everything was up to speck even though one of my gaps was completely small and narrow and the other one was gaping. After taking my car back multiple times, they never fixed my light issue so I had to take it to a shop. At the shop they took apart my wheelwell cover and and they saw that the 2 grounding bolts were loose and that my fog light assembly harness wasn't properly connected, they dimt even attached it to the retaining clip. They never bothered to sand down the area for proper grounding, and dint even bother to fully It's tightened down the bolts that hold down those grounding cables. The thing that bothers me the most is that Justin He told me that he went ahead and sat down all the grounding spots to fix that issue.. but they dint. They pretty much said that they were doing everything in their will power to fix my car, but it wasn't Until I started getting frustrated with them that they actually stepped up their game. Even through all of this, I had to pay at a pocket to get my car properly fixed after they touched it since my lights weren't working properly. I would not recommend this shop because Kelly the lead person in charge will talk down to you and call you stupid, that's what she did last time that my car got backed up into. She said that I was stupid and that I did not know anything about paint so their job was perfect and that I should stop questioning them. If you do decide to go to the shop make sure that you have the bureau of automotive repair go to your house and and measure all the gaps and check the paint quality, because these guys are willing to rush just to make sure they get another car in the shop. Double check everything, and if you see a mistake or your gap's incorrect make sure you have them fix it because if not you're gonna be driving around with a poorly put back together car. read more

These people are in desperate need of customer service training. Arrived for an appointment; the receptionist behaved like I interrupted her day and lacked all the niceties of a greeting a potential client. Very low energy demonstrated, every said hello or good morning. I stated I have an appointment and gave my name and she never acknowledged me, she just started typing and picking up a paper from a printer and told me, "you can sit down." Just as I was telling the young lady I was leaving , twenty minutes later a gentleman came out to speak with me; he demonstrated a better interest in his customer and was more pleasant. He was a tad nicer but the process here just to get an estimate took over an hour and he kept tilling me about the AAA discount. I had to remind him I personally was not getting a discount only AAA will benefit from the discount. Regretfully, I reconsidered and allowed them to work on my vehicle because I was on my way out of town. The pick up process was just as bad . The gentleman I worked with to have the repairs completed was less than forthcoming regarding when my vehicle would be ready for pick up and he was not completely truthful about minor issues. Very disappointing! The work was completed and OK but the overall experience with these people was not something I would wish upon my worst enemy. Worst customer experience. read more

The staff at Caliber are very professional and pleasant. Alan kept me well informed of the process even though I'm in San Diego handling the repair of my Mom's car in Napa where she lives. They treated us with respect and courtesy as if we owned an expensive-luxury car and not a 2008 Toyota Corolla S. Man did they do a beautiful job too! The car looks better than the day I gave it to Mom four years ago for her 80th birthday, and it was in pristine condition then and with only 30k miles! Not only did Caliber repair the damage incurred from Mom's accident, but they also polished the vehicle's headlight lenses to remove the oxidation. Here's the paint icing on the car cake... they actually detailed the car, inside as well as outside. They did a thorough job too because they managed to find my sister's lost driver's license! Caliber worked with my insurance company so all we had to do was pay our deductible upon completion, which the patient woman at their front desk took care of over the phone with Mom. Then, when we thought it couldn't get any better, they actually delivered the car to my Mom's house! Finally, my rep at Geico told me that the repairs would be much more $ at most other shops.
