Melts in your mouth and the mushrooms add to the taste perfectly. Fries are amazing as well. If you get an awesome host which they have many, they will pour the best pairings to go along with the burger. If they dont, just ask which ones pair best with the burger. Our favorite winery we visited while in Paso Robles. I would highly recommend Allan as your server as he is the coolest dude that just wants you to have a good time. Not a huge fan of their wines. There are other places that are similar in price point, but include a better view and taste. Our waitress was wonderful, and we were able to try a vast selection of their portfolio. Nothing really "wow"ed us, but she made a good point in that the tastings are $15 or free with a $17 wine bottle purchase. So now we have a mediocre bottle of wine! Haha. Sweated it out in 110 degrees here at a tasting but it was great regardless! My boyfriend and I did a quick trip to Paso and this was one of the two wineries we visited - this being our favorite. It was one of the hottest days in history and with Covid precautions, which inevitably affected the experience a bit. Seating was outside and each table had a large umbrella to provide a good amount of shade. The patio is beautiful and has a quaint courtyard feel. Despite the heat, our server was amazing and very attentive. I didn't get her name but she was so warm and gave her own quick description of every pour. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, pomme frites, and charcuterie board for lunch. The menu was more limited than we'd seen online but the food was bomb regardless. The sandwich and fries were the star, with a delicioussss lemony taste and garlic aioli - omg amazing. The wine itself was good too, but I think the heat affected my ability to taste effectively after it reached 100 lol and we were delirious. The experience was even better than I was expecting. Really nice venue with decent food options and multiple bars. The garlic fries were really good, I ate them so fast I forgot to take a picture. We went in on a Tuesday and it was very quiet, but they made sure we had a really enjoyable visit. It was our first time going to Vina Robles. I had a pre-conceived notion it was really pricey and maybe pretentious. I could not have been more wrong! They have some really enjoyable wines and reasonable prices; so much so, we bought 6. All of the staff were nice. Brandi was our server and she was amazing! She made it fun and enjoyable sharing her thoughts and listening to ours too. She was so sweet to our Labrador too. She has a great, easy going personality. We appreciated that she let us try some extra wines so we could make a decision on which bottles we wanted to buy. The winery and grounds are really pretty and relaxing. Definitely will be back and would consider the wine club in the future. Note: this review is for a visit a few months ago at this point (the weekend before Christmas last year) - we spent the weekend in the area, visiting a *lot* of wineries, and I'm still catching up on all the reviews. So the specific wines we tried may have rotated out, but the tasting room as a whole probably hasn't changed too much. Anyway, most of the wineries we visited were ones I'd planned on advance for various reasons - this one wasn't, until we got to our hotel, and they gave us a couple coupons for comped tastings with partner wineries, and this was one of them. I'm never one to give up a free tasting, so we added it to our list. Tastings are normally $15, but comped with any bottle purchase, so I'd have given it 5 stars even if I'd paid for the tasting - they have a tasting menu of ~10 wines, that you can choose 5 from, but our 5 mysteriously turned into 7 or 8, funny how that happens sometimes. They've got a wide variety of styles and price points, including, when we were there, an excellent verdejo for $20, a $34 zin that tasted like it should be at least that much, a petite sirah that was $46 and again, tasted like it, and a pretty fun late harvest white, sweet but not too sweet - as seems weirdly common at tasting rooms, the dessert wine wasn't in the tasting list, so make sure to ask if they have one, if you like dessert wines). (Those were the ones I wrote down because they particularly impressed me, but everything we tried was pretty good.) We were here at 11 AM on a Sunday, and it was already getting busy - but they know what they're doing, so we still felt like we had a semi-private tasting, because the tasting room space is huge, and they had sufficient employees to cover it. Super friendly people, great service all around, and great wine: I'd totally come back to this one. (Just too bad I wouldn't normally have a comp coupon, but I'd be happy buying a bottle in exchange.) read more

Had such a good time wine tasting. When we visited last weekend, the tasting room wasn't open, but the outdoor dining area was available for reservations. We walked in and the host told us we can come back in an hour for a table. My boyfriend and I each got flights and was informed by the waiter that we can get the price of the flights deducted ($10) if we buy a bottle. The zinfandel was our choice out of the ones we tasted. Very peaceful setting with plenty of social distancing and our waiter was so professional and kind. Couldn't have asked for a better place to start after quarantine. read more
