They bring like amuse bouche or a Chef Compliment mussels in a white creamy and very delicious sauce that smells a little bit of vanilla, really delicious and timely - while you're waiting for your order - you won't eat all the bread:)
We go there for lunch almost every time we are in Paris. Located very conveniently, close to Opera, Louvre and other great Parisian sights. They have two floors. Menu is in different languages.
Of course they serve freshest tasty oysters and other raw and cold seafood, like Bulot, pink shrimps, lobster, French crab Tourteau, mussels, clams and more. You can order an assortment if you want to try it all, they offer Seafood plate for two.
Or just go a la carte or one of their "Formules". Last time they had an offer for scallops St. Jacques. All dishes to choose from a ready set menu were with cooked St. Jacques: crepes with it, raviolis stuffed with it, risotto with it, St. Jacques a la Provençale etc. All tasted stunning!
Also most of the main courses are available the size of an appetizer.
Tartar of marinated fish is amazing, and raviolis with lobster-impeccable, so refine! Tartare de boeuf very gentle and subtle. All the dishes that we ordered (and we tasted for various times 2/3 of the menu suggestions) were delightful. Simple, no any show off nor pretense, French dainty cuisine.
Tarte Tatin for dessert or crepes with red fruits - taste just formidable!
The wine list is pretty small, no more than two dozen of different names, but nevertheless they have everything you might want to drink in a fish restaurant: 7 types of champagnes, 3 Sancerre, Pouilly-fume, Chablis, and even Mersault 1er Cru. Prices are very acceptable and most of the wines are available by the glass.
Good and well-timed service.
Bon appetite! read more
