This restaurant is located right next to the hotel we stayed at (Hotel Toujours). The food is amazingly good! We ordered les huites (oysters) which was very fresh! Then the scallop risotto and sole mueniere. That Sole fish is soooo buttery that it litterally melts in your mouth. The price is a bit steep at 50 euros.. but hey, you're in Paris, treat yourself!

I chose this restaurant for the valet service unfortunately the valet did not show up Until much later! One of my friends had a hip replacement and it was difficult to walk in this city from the parking area. There is no handicap parking. The manager did try to make it up with a nice bottle of champagne! Definitely the food was excellent! And will definitely return again when I'm in Paris!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. Food was great! With a nice portion and well seasoned to taste. Very elegant looking with nice colors and romantic vibes.

The classic French restaurant. Entrance, ambiance, staff all ooze the proverbial Parisian vibes. Menu has all the seasonal and classic winners you expect from this establishment. We were on a business dinner, but you can see it is the favorite of many locals as well. The tables were full of families of all ages and compositions of young and old. The snails and herring were just right. The seafood tray presentation as you expect in this kind of establishment. My scallops and my colleague's veal chop were cooked to perfection. The staff is courteous and silently working their way through their guests. A great ambiance. Dessert was creme brulee and also pears. So yummy. It's too bad we won't be back foe a while, but it will be a definite visit again once we land back in Paris!

This was one of the most disappointing dinners I have had in Paris. The quality of the food was bland. Started with the oysters which had a nice taste to them they were a combination and the mix was nice. Went on to the specially beef for two. Now this was disappointing. Maybe the beef in USA is just better but this has no taste just meat. No seasoning no sauce. Very bizarre. This is not worth your time in Paris.

Had dinner here during a business trip to Paris. The food was comme ci comme ça. The steak was cooked as ordered, however, they don't really use any seasoning so it is bland in taste. The French fries on the side didn't taste very fresh either. Also, the service wasn't as quick as it should have been. This is a very expensive restaurant. If you want to spend 100 EUR on a meal for two people, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This restaurant is f-ed up. Why? We book through phone and at the front desk they said they couldn't find us. So the waiter placed right next to the front door. WE BOOKED THE EFFING TABLE. After we sit in, it took waiter 10 minutes to give us the menu and another waiting, around 15 minutes, to order the food. Yes, the food are bad, no awful. The oyster are probably directly out from a can and the mussels tastes like death. Shrimp's head are full of goo. Right now I am waiting for the 21st century , perhaps, worst main courses to come. Pray for this restaurant.Amen.

I have read a lot of review here and first don't be so in a hurry! you all complained about speed... it is a traditional seafood restaurant you are here for at least 4 hours if you take the seafood prestige plate! if you only take cooked plate it will be still 2 hours! yes the service is slow, yes most servers don't care you want to eat and go! you are in France in a most iconic restaurant of the area! not at a fast-food chain! this is a restaurant I have visited multiple time for the last 10 years with every trip I do to Paris...you only go there if you want seafood...its there specialty! its expensive but seafood in France is really, and I mean really expensive if good quality. That being said the service is slow, your waiter will not care for your life story and it will take 45 min in between dishes...beyond that the restaurant is superb inside (multiple level and some private room) the tables are close together but very well dress. the decor is rich and opulent. the terrace (outside) is really nice in summer or winter. (did all, from business meeting with 12 person to 2 peoples just taking a break on a Sunday) the food: I personally only eat seafood there...it is always extra fresh and yes I found some bad oysters or mussels. but they replace them... also the cook can't really taste your oysters for you! my guest either family or colleague have always had a good plate. most foreigners tend to think its under salted but they fix that easily. so in summary, manage your expectations. this will be a long dinner/lunch. it will be EXPENSIVE. first class is expensive! but you will have a great experience, great food and great memories.

Very nice typical french restaurant. Service was very friendly and food was good. We had a nice window seat overlooking the roundabout. They also have a heated terasse.

    Sole meunière of course!

Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

I thought the menu a little small We settled on a Viognier and a Brouilly while we decided. In the end we both chose the smoked salmon, my partner went for the piece du boucher (bavette with a sort of mash, mushrooms and a sauce...and a surcharge) and I chose the souris d'agneau with mash. Accompanied by a 50cl Malbec; then coffee I thought the salmon was well smoked but my partner - who is Scandinavian - thought too much so. Ignoring that, it was delicious But we both left rather disappointed...mainly because the bavette, as is so often the case in France with any steak, was was as tough as old boots (and too red for me in any event) ...sorry from the waitress when she asked how our meal was, doesn't really cut it.. As it was, my partner left at least 3/4s of it. My souris was fine but needed some vegetables of some description; it looked a little lonely. I seem otherwise to have chosen well, plenty of meat and very tender Thought it was or had been a Rostang place, but not so sure. Shame, nearly but not quite

Le Stella is expensive, serves French classics and executes magnificently. It is the neighborhood cafe for families who maintain a household staff and chauffeurs. They eat well. At Le Stella, you will eat well. * * * Most of the menu looks like it could be served in any cafe in the city. With a notable exception. The menu includes a vast array of seafood to be served as an appetizer. Some cafes will offer raw oysters. Le Stella will offer you a broad selection of oysters from which you may take your pick. The oysters are not even remotely cheap. Most of the tables were starting with seafood. I have generally been unhappy with the oysters I have gotten at everyday hoi polloi cafes. I strongly suspect that this is the place I want to go if the plan is to get my French aphrodisiacs. * * * I DID have the steak tartare. OH. MY. GOD. I have had a lot of steak tartare both in Paris and elsewhere in France. Nobody's version comes up to the standard of Le Stella. If you want to find out what steak tartare can do, This is where you want to order the dish. The beef itself was wonderful ... Which is not always a guarantee with the competition. What set the dish apart though was the flavoring. This was the spiciest and most stimulating steak tartare I have had in my life. It was not blow-the-top-of-your-head-off hot, like a dish with two cups of Thai green peppercorns. But my palate was hit with strong flavors of every type imaginable, As if a martial arts star was doing his signature fifteen move finisher in my mouth. There was strong yellow mustard powder. There was black pepper. There was green onion. There was horseradish. There was who knows what else? Each bite was absolutely strong and absolutely pungent. But each bite was also absolutely different. I never knew what was going to happen next. Just eating raw beef with some black pepper dumped in is no longer going to do it for me. I have seen the Holy Saint of Steak Tartare. No mortal Steak Tartare will ever rise to this level of divinity. * * * The wine cellar is also impressive. You can go all out and buy a bottle of a great vintage. (You can do that in many other French cafes too - Or for that matter - at the upscale wine stores which can be found every three or four blocks in Paris.) But what they sell by the glass is much better than most other cafes' "just-one-glass" choices. I had an first rate Beaujolais that was surprisingly reasonably priced. My wife was very happy with her fish. * * * I was watching my weight so I passed on the very attractive cheese and dessert options. As far as I could see, the only real lack was the bar whose spirit offerings were plebian and uninteresting. At Le Stella, you want to drink wine. Any other beverage is treated as a toss off. But sometime when my budget goes up and my waistline goes down, I would like to make a stab at their full menu. There were a lot of happy oyster eaters in that room.
