One of the restaurants that I must go to eat in Paris. It specializes in seafood and they have requests other than seafood. I highly recommend it and you must add the restaurant to the list of Paris. The staff are excellent. It has been around for 50 years. It is worth a visit.

Great Mussels spot in Paris to dine. Friendly staff. Sat outside on a small patio. The mussels were delicious.

Super French country restaurant. We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the locals and while we struggled with the menu the staff was super kind and helpful. The food was fresh and accurate

Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is a huge restaurant that resembles a TGIF American restaurant! Their speciality seem to be moules et frites that's why we decided to try it out! The mussels came in these piping out casseroles! Ranging from €13.90-€17.90! Overall everything tasted great! They could perhaps update their decor a little bit! Will def come back to try out their other flavours! Mussels came with unlimited fries and rolls. We barely able to finish ours!

We looked for a lunch spot and found this place. The service was good and the ambiance was better. Besides ordering food, this place is a decent place to have a conversation with people enjoying each other's company.

Mussels of different style of cooking. Not far from where we are staying and too tired to lineup for food, came here for a quick bite, ambience looks like a bar, but the place is huge inside. Service was quick, gave good suggestions. Had the Leon style mussels and fish and chips, both very good.

I give a five stars because the mussels was fresh with good flavor and has a good amount to fill my empty stomach. Plus the calamari was fresh and crunchy. The waiter was super nice and the service was quick and the price was affordable. The view wasn't good outside but it's ok.

    Beer is cheap too.

Best Leon in Paris. No tourist trap, accepting Leon fidelity program and 15% off if you sign up one day before and receive your coupon by email. They offer better choice wider selection and most of all 6 to 8 euros cheaper per item than the one on Champs-Elysées. Try their 20 euros combo And please do not give any tips in France. You are destroying the local étiquettes and economy by bringing your American habit. The tip is already included in the price you pay (14% sometimes 17%). Pls do not ever pay additional tips because you are making the servers to expect more while they have already being paid for their work including retirement, social security in their salary. You are also disrespecting the local custom and economic dynamic. Also not because the meal is cheap for your standard you feel you are contributing to give tips. You make the locals unable to enjoy the meal the way it is. Don't introduce your tipping habit into a country where tips aren't expected and makes the local unable to go to the restaurant. Again the tips are already included in the price you pay. Just like the tax. In France the tax is included in the price that you see on the menu. Would you force to pay more tax after you have already paid your tax with the pricing on the menu? No. So don't do the same with the tips. Thanks

Great food! Packed at 11pm. The mussels did not disappoint! Leon muscles with white wine sauce! Service was a bit slow but we showed up at 11pm so I don't blame them. Staff was very nice and helpful with me having broken French. Facilities were quaint like a true French bistro!

My first-night walk-in here. I got attracted by the mussel pictures. Came in and ordered pasta. They didn't tell me they were out of mussels. Made me shrimp with rice instead. Charged me the same amount of money. I saw the other table came in later than me but they were eating mussels...... a Very disappointing experience.

This was probably my favorite fish and chips ever up until now!!!!! Their tartar sauce was also so flavorful! The mojito was great as well, not as well mixed as I would've preferred, but hey, I had a spoon so I mixed it myself. I love the atmosphere of Paris dining also. They want you to dine in and experience the food and culture, as not many places have takeout we learned, but rightfully so. The seafood is so fresh here, and the Le Creme Brûlée was so flavorful. I didn't like creme brûlée until I had this one, and I've been comparing everyone to theirs! Lol so good, lovely vintage atmosphere and great culture. Can't wait to go back!!

If you have a love of mussels like I do, Leon de bruxelles is always a good option. They offer lots of different flavor options and let's be honest- this is what they specialize in. It is a bit of a chain, which can be a turnoff if you are into more unique, independent operations, but their formula works. This time I ordered the curry mussels. I probably would recommend trying another flavor, but this is not a bad option. Good service, great outdoor seating and worth the visit.

An elegant upscale French cafe in the Sixteenth Arrondisement…read more The Sixteenth is known for being wealthy, old school conservative and elegant. Le Stella is expensive, serves French classics and executes magnificently. It is the neighborhood cafe for families who maintain a household staff and chauffeurs. They eat well. At Le Stella, you will eat well. * * * Most of the menu looks like it could be served in any cafe in the city. With a notable exception. The menu includes a vast array of seafood to be served as an appetizer. Some cafes will offer raw oysters. Le Stella will offer you a broad selection of oysters from which you may take your pick. The oysters are not even remotely cheap. Most of the tables were starting with seafood. I have generally been unhappy with the oysters I have gotten at everyday hoi polloi cafes. I strongly suspect that this is the place I want to go if the plan is to get my French aphrodisiacs. * * * I DID have the steak tartare. OH. MY. GOD. I have had a lot of steak tartare both in Paris and elsewhere in France. Nobody's version comes up to the standard of Le Stella. If you want to find out what steak tartare can do, This is where you want to order the dish. The beef itself was wonderful ... Which is not always a guarantee with the competition. What set the dish apart though was the flavoring. This was the spiciest and most stimulating steak tartare I have had in my life. It was not blow-the-top-of-your-head-off hot, like a dish with two cups of Thai green peppercorns. But my palate was hit with strong flavors of every type imaginable, As if a martial arts star was doing his signature fifteen move finisher in my mouth. There was strong yellow mustard powder. There was black pepper. There was green onion. There was horseradish. There was who knows what else? Each bite was absolutely strong and absolutely pungent. But each bite was also absolutely different. I never knew what was going to happen next. Just eating raw beef with some black pepper dumped in is no longer going to do it for me. I have seen the Holy Saint of Steak Tartare. No mortal Steak Tartare will ever rise to this level of divinity. * * * The wine cellar is also impressive. You can go all out and buy a bottle of a great vintage. (You can do that in many other French cafes too - Or for that matter - at the upscale wine stores which can be found every three or four blocks in Paris.) But what they sell by the glass is much better than most other cafes' "just-one-glass" choices. I had an first rate Beaujolais that was surprisingly reasonably priced. My wife was very happy with her fish. * * * I was watching my weight so I passed on the very attractive cheese and dessert options. As far as I could see, the only real lack was the bar whose spirit offerings were plebian and uninteresting. At Le Stella, you want to drink wine. Any other beverage is treated as a toss off. But sometime when my budget goes up and my waistline goes down, I would like to make a stab at their full menu. There were a lot of happy oyster eaters in that room.

The Christian Dior egg was nothing like anything I've tasted before. Just looking at it, it looked like an ordinary had boiled egg in a light creamy broth with caviar, but once you break it open, the center was almost jelly-like. Priced at $65 for one egg, it tasted expensive and heavenly. We also ordered the following to share: - Mussels - Lobster spaghetti - Seabass cooked 2 ways - Crepes - Creme Brulee The food and service were exceptional! The restaurant was also beautifully decorated. You must visit the restroom to check out how fancy it is!

The seared scallops with black truffle coulis is another hit. My favorite is the live caught sea bass with caviar buerre blanc sauce. The food is just so well executed and exquisite - that the server mentioned the chef tested the menu with many iterations, and that effort shines throughout the menu of the night.
