As a three-time visitor service has been consistently attentive...the Art Deco decor alluring...and the oysters & caviar decadent. To enjoy such a luxurious meal with friends and fellow food-lovers is such a treat -- and welcome alternative to dry Thanksgiving turkey...flavorless mashed potatoes...and mushy stuffing. To compliment our caviar / oysters / delicious champagne and white burgundy, dinner partners sampled a soft-boiled eggs in the shell topped w/ caviar...a potato millefueille (also topped with caviar)...warm Breton lobster salad and finished our meal with soufflés, tart tatin, and Stilton cheese. While I'm sure there were many other lovely dishes, the caviar and oysters were the stars . They're the reason we first visited and is now our annual tradition. Come dressed to the nines...bring those you love (and who love food)...soak in the sexy but subtle Art Deco ambiance...and luxuriate in Prunier's tastes of the sea.

Underwhelming Dinner date Atmosphere: 4/5 The restaurant was very beautiful inside! Exquisite decor and lovely tile flooring. Unfortunately, the vibe here was not trendy and it was a very slow night (I wouldn't be surprised if every night was a slow night). Service: 5/5 Our hotel called and made reservations for us. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at the door and were seated instantly. Our server was very helpful and was able to speak to us in English quite well. Great service! Food: 2/5 I really wanted the food to be good here, but nearly everything we ordered was disappointing. We ordered salmon, caviar, shrimp, and lobster. We were greeted with a smoked salmon dish wish spinach on top, the spinach was fine but the salmon was fishy. When our salmon arrive we realized it was the same as the salmon we received when we first sat down, needless to say we weren't excited and couldn't finish the dish. The caviar was mediocre (we have had better and we have had worse within the same price range). However, the pancakes and potatoes served with the caviar were perfect! The shrimp was cooked well, not fishy, and fresh, no complaints there either! We ordered chilled lobster, but they accidentally brought us cooked lobster. The lobster wasn't sweet and buttery, and overall wasn't cooked to my liking. Overall: 3/5 While the service was wonderful and the restaurant was lovely, I've taken away two stars mostly for the disappointing dishes. With all of the amazing restaurants in Paris, I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

Left Versailles and we were starving. At Arc de Triumph…read more Yelp and Tripadvisor ratings don't match. Many that rate high on Tripadvisor don't rate high on Yelp. This place rated high on both. It was early about 6:00 and very few customers. We were seated without reservation, by 7 this place was jumping surely u would need one by then. Charming restaurant but they pack u in a little tight. Seems like this is standard in Paris. Customer Service Julien out waiter was the best. Very attentive and friendly, no rushing. Little language problem but I pointed to menu and he helped me pick my entree. He was great. Assortment of cheese Very good Rigatoni with truffle sauce topped with shaved cheese Did not look like much but the truffle sauce had rich flavor. Veal chop with chanterelle mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Wow never tasted anything like these beautiful flavors. Going to make this dish at home. Brioche French toast with salted butter caramel and ice cream. Too sweet for me but delicious, my honey loved it. Plating Lots of pride here. If I am ever in Paris in Avenue De Champs Elysees I would come here again u should to. This was a perfect dining experience. I would rate this place a 10 if I could.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ Escargot/Extra large Burgundy Snails - Fantastic! Lots of flavor and addictively so good. Use the complimentary bread to sop up the oils! = French Onion Soup - Ehhh just OK. Tasted like just your average French Onion Soup. + Duck Confit - Duck leg was delicious and tender with lots of gravy. Scalloped potatoes were a great side for it. + Beef Bourguignon - Phennnnomenal. Arrived in a clay pot and the beef was so tender and flavorful. Stewed potatoes and carrots were also in the au jus and flavorful too. Wish I had something (other than the bread) to soak it up! + Lasagna Bolognese - Tried a littttle bit of it and it was solid. Can't say it was much different than other good bolognese dishes I've had, but it was good. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + Seated quickly for our Sunday evening resy. - Food took a litttttle too long to arrive. + Waiter was very friendly. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Small restaurant, but has quite a few tables inside and noticed that parties without a reservation were still immediately seated. + Was busy for a Sunday evening at 5:30-7 PM, but there was always a open table or 2. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Nada.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ THEEEEEE gold standard for macarons in Paris ... or anywhere for that matter. + Macarons here are a little crisp, a little pillowy softness and a whollllllle bunch of flavor. - It cost a pretty penny (about 3 Euros for 1 piece), but you won't regret it for a second when you bite into one of these addictively delicious treats. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Located in the heart of the Champs-Élysées on Rue Lincoln, so, YES, it is busy like rush hour outside ... and inside. + There are 2 sides to this massive flagship location - you can either make a purchase of macarons at their store OR dine/sit down in their tea house. Both have lines to wait on, but making a purchase only takes about 10 minutes on a weekend, while dining in looks like an unimaginable wait! + The store to make a macaron purchase at has 3 tables to sit around to enjoy your purchase of delicious macarons. You MUST catch someone about to leave (like we did) in order to snag a table. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Expect waits on a weekend afternoon, especially to sit down in the tea room. If you just make a store purchase, it's only about a 10 minute wait ... and you'll be thanking your legs for that. = It's a tourist destination in itself, so expect LOTS of people taking photos of this location. CONCLUSION ----------------------- = Yes, I'm from the tri-state area and they've had a Laduree in NYC since 2011, but there's alwayyyyys something special about going to one of the originals and this spot is no different.
