The food was so good and there was no wait at all. I highly recommend the oysters! The service was impeccable and the ambiance was great!

My family and I recently visited Paris and stayed at an Airbnb nearby. Walked by Le Stella a couple of times, and it was always busy so we decided to try it out. Went for dinner on a Sunday night. It was our last dinner in Paris, and Le Stella did not disappoint. While we couldn't sit outside because it was full, the hostess was very accommodating and gave us a table six (even though only 3 of us) so we had plenty of room. We had escargot, French onion soup, and a cap Rees salad for appetizer and veal schnitzel, lamb chops and skate fish for main course. The waitress was great. Brought us lots of bread and ice for our drinks. The portions were also generous. The veal came with a side of penne, the skate fish came with potatoes, and the lamb chops came with a side of ratatouille. Overall, a very positive experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area in Paris.

Cod and salmon in light sauces, with sautéed spinach.

Busy, full of locals, but not noisy. Young and active staff. Fits you in and good advice. Excellent food. Green bean salad with crumbled cheese and balsamic vinegar is excellent starter. So is sliced mushroom salad with cheese slices and balsamic vinegar. Seafood is excellent. Salmon and cod with light sauces were great. So was sautéed spinach. Everyone is in a great mood after dinner.

We have been to Paris many time and this place has some of the most delicious food we have had. We actually came back here twice and it was better than a Michelin-starred restaurant that we had for a celebration. The wine is also excellent as is the service. Go, you won't regret it.

Pretty good food! Went on our first night in Paris on our hotels recommendation. Sort of slow service but good location near eiffel tower and good food!

This place is amazing! The staff speak both English and French which was great for us! They helped us with the menu which is all in French. Every menu item was a perfect 10!

This place reminds me of the brasseries my mother took me to on my first trip to Paris as a child. With so many now owned by corporate entities following the resounding success of old novels like the Bistros of Paris (damn you), La Stella remains true to it's roots. If you don't speak french or have a member of your party who does, I wouldn't necessarily say "Je te dis merde" (because the service is impeccable) but definitely be ready for a true immerse experience. However, the fact that they knock all those quintessential french dishes you know and love (and will now love more) out of the park, you won't feel lost in the menu. You've probably never had onion soup, escargots, steak tartare, lamb or fillet of sole meunière like this (although Julia Child's sole meunière, properly executed, comes very close).

I live in California and only eat Mediterranean style food but also have great influences from Asia. This turned out to be the perfect place for my taste. The flavors were rich and subtle, and the execution pitch perfect. I can't say how it compares to other French Michelin stars but it's hands down better than anything I ever experienced in California. I am still grappling with how tantalizing this was.

I thought the menu a little small We settled on a Viognier and a Brouilly while we decided. In the end we both chose the smoked salmon, my partner went for the piece du boucher (bavette with a sort of mash, mushrooms and a sauce...and a surcharge) and I chose the souris d'agneau with mash. Accompanied by a 50cl Malbec; then coffee I thought the salmon was well smoked but my partner - who is Scandinavian - thought too much so. Ignoring that, it was delicious But we both left rather disappointed...mainly because the bavette, as is so often the case in France with any steak, was was as tough as old boots (and too red for me in any event) ...sorry from the waitress when she asked how our meal was, doesn't really cut it.. As it was, my partner left at least 3/4s of it. My souris was fine but needed some vegetables of some description; it looked a little lonely. I seem otherwise to have chosen well, plenty of meat and very tender Thought it was or had been a Rostang place, but not so sure. Shame, nearly but not quite

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.
