Food is mediocre in a city where you find great food. Skip. Food doesn't feel very fresh.

We stumbled across this place looking for some good seafood near our AirBnB. Huguette was fantastic! They specialize in seafood, but have other solid options in addition. Every dish we ordered we strongly enjoyed. The restaurant is comfortable, with perfect lighting. It works just as well for a family as it would for a romantic couple. A special call out goes to the staff and in particular Freddie, the manager, who goes out of his way to make sure you are entertained and comfortable. We may actually go back again tomorrow during lunch for another take at the menu. Thanks, Huguette!

Friends recommended Huguette just off a Boulevard Saint-Germain. It has great seafood and is especially known for their huitres or oysters. I had half a dozen followed by a superb filet of salmon with asparagus. And, of course, a molten chocolate cake for dessert - wonderful. It's a nice setting looking over the street, perfect for a little people watching. Great attentive service. If you're looking for seafood in Paris, you can't go wrong with Huguette.

Super delicious and fresh seafood, deducting a star because they did not have everything we wanted (no more linguine with clams, no more razor clams, and no Uni!). Very disappointed with the selection and not a lot of items I wanted. However, everything we did order was cooked to perfection! - langoustine - fresh oysters from Normandy - mussels marinere - octopus All of them were delicious, especially the mussels, still one of the best I've had! The broth was out of this world! Definitely recommend, but be prepared to be disappointed if they don't have everything you want to order on the menu!

Reservations are not needed but recommended. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Grom gelato is next door ;)

Came for lunch and ordered the moules mariner aka moules frites. Outstanding. Came with excellent French bread and even superior butter. The Sauvignon blanc was excellent too. Highly recommended. Service was good and ambiance.

Got a last minute table when we arrived at 7:10PM. We were told that we just had to be done by 8:30. No problem for us as we appreciated a faster paced meal anyway. Menu was straightforward, all in French but no problems with google translate. Tuna sashimi came on a great sauce, ceviche was also fresh and tasty. Fish soup was well seasoned and came with cheese you could add on top. Beef Tatar and paella were outstanding. Mussels continued to be a consistently great choice throughout France.

What a cute place with delicious food! Our waitress was super kind! The frog legs are spectacular! The oysters are delicious! The lobster is great! I subbed the potatoes for a Caesar salad. The steak Tartar was the BEST I've had!

Amazing seafood and and an incredible menu! Loved our last dinner here in St Germain - the food did not disappoint. We didn't make a reservation and it was quite busy on a Sunday night - we ended up snagging a table outside. Luckily, they did provide blankets which helped to take some of the chill off, especially as the night got colder. My main goal was to have moules frites (in this case, moules Marinieres) and oysters before we left, and Huguette served exactly this! We also had razor clams and a tasty linguine alle vongole, which paired nicely with the white wine I had ordered. This was such a cute little bistro and the perfect way to end our Paris adventures!

I really love their food. Everything was so flavorful and on point! They have English menu as well.

Charming restaurant with great people watching and even better food! We came for an early dinner and were seated immediately by the kind waitress. We sat outside so that we could admire the beautiful Parisian scenery. We grabbed some delicious white wine to start while we nibbles on the complimentary bread. We then ordered the Clams Linguini and Fish and Chips. The linguine was out of this world and I highly recommend it. The pasta had the most amazing lemon garlic sauce and it came loaded with plenty of clams. The fish and chips were great and the tartar sauce was fantastic! I will definitely be back when I'm in town.

A friend told me she wanted to try this place in Paris so since I'm there I will try it for her. Holy cow, what an experience! I went to the market side instead of the restaurant and the nice lady walked me over (might be the owner). I didn't have reservation but they sat me down and told me I had 50 mins to eat cuz they have another party coming. I didn't mind because I was planning to try only 2 items on their menu. Fresh oysters and razor clams. Wow, the oysters were fresh and clean tasting (the kind I picked were $18/6 from the medium size grouping). Then the razor clams came out and the light garlic smell was just calling me to eat one quickly before I even finished my raw oysters. I also ordered a glass of rose to cleanse my palette. The razor clams were so good, I ordered a second order to-go (take away as the French call it). If you're in the neighborhood, stop by. Having reservation will help if you don't want to be rushed

This review is for the clams linguini! By far, one of the best clam linguini I ever had. The clams were so tender and soft. The linguini came out pipping hot and was really tasty. We added fresh cracked pepper and it was great; we felt a kick was missing, and finally figured out a squeeze of fresh lemon was missing when our oysters came out (so request some linen wedges and add your own lemon!) We would pass on the fish soup (not our cup of tea). It tasted fishy and not broth nor creamy, like we were expecting of "normal" soups in the states. Oysters were good, but we're used to how they are prepared in the states, so maybe we aren't the best judges for that. 0:-)

We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.
