The worst oysters I have ever had...I could not believe these were served inside a Lafayette shop. It was really a disappointed experience.
I have been numerous oysters bar & restaurants around the globe,
with a specialty in the oysters & seafood emphasis on previous posts and comments, it's a unbelievably bad experiences for both dishes we ordered.
€39 Euro seafood platter had 90% (total 8 pieces ) oysters were broken in shapes being served, which was not acceptable to be fair. Her original answer was impressive that the oyster chef was new and Whelks and prawns were petite size, crab was just alright.
We complaint to a server right away, as the oyster meat was poorly thin and also broken (number 3 sized), why would we have been served like that..that's the standard shall be throw aside for cooking oyster chowder.
The female server were helpful and apologised for this, she offered one round 3 number 2 to compensate for us but those were also all rotten in shape like picking up from the trash. We emphasis again if whoever the chef couldn't open in a normal standard, pls not to serve us on those presentation really not appetising.
Then she brought another 3 with good shapes at the last time. And we asked to see her manager. And had to request if they will change those thin & damaged to new ones but in good shapes pls.
2) the octopus tentacles with fries €27 was also no taste, it was only deep fried with oil and the sauce dressing was tasteless oily. French fries were re-fried ones not freshly cooked and looked overcooked. We bring to the male waiter attention, he said not their it's from outside supplier mumbling back in French, it's pretty rude and unprofessional, perhaps it's part of French way.
There are plenty options for this area, will black list this and please avoid if possible. read more
