This is a very charming little spot to grab amazing Italian food in Paris. The staff, especially the owner, is extremely friendly and gave us a complementary bottle of prosecco on our way out. Their pastas taste very rich and the portions are generous. The standout dish to me was the Rigatoni All'Arrabbiata, which was very spicy in the best of ways (we love our pastas spicy). We also really enjoyed the Rigatoni Maria Rosa which had some really tasty cured meat layered on there that elevated the dish. They have great cocktails as well. Such a great spot! We tried the Caesar salad which was delicious as well as the rigatoni with bolognese (off menu) and the gnocchi. Both were so delicious. The place is busy so definitely get a reservation if you can! The restaurant is small and tables are close but we loved it and didn't find it to be an issue. We got to the restaurant at opening and were lucky enough to get a table. It's a small place, decorated with an Italian style. The tables are small enough to get moved around and made to accommodate different size parties. Very helpful when busy! After a few days of amazing French food we were ready for something different. This spot was recommended by our hotel. Reservations are a must and we had one at 7 on a Sunday evening. We liked it so much we ended up visiting a second time. A charming, cozy dining area. They were fully booked. Quite an extensive menu of options and overwhelming in a good way. For Apertif, ordered an Espresso Martini. Excellent and nicely balanced. We shared the Mortadella Starter. Stracciatella took it over the top-delicious. For Main, I ordered the Rigatoni Forestiera based on another Reviewer's description. Usually not a big Rigatoni fan but this sauce would've worked on any pasta. Truffle cream sauce with Mushrooms was excellent. There is an option to add a small square of Foie Gras. Worth every penny of the additional 4 Euro. First time having Pasta and Foie-wow! A rich, decadent and unforgettable dish! Second time ordered it with Pancetta vs Speck-delicious. Also, ordered the Pesto Fusilli which was excellent. Service was attentive and engaged. For my family of 5 who were wandering around late at night and trying to find a hearty plate of pasta, this place had an incredible selection. The more plates you order, the longer it takes, so keep that in mind. But it's worth it: the portions were huge and delicious, and the rigatoni caratello with its truffle cream sauce was heaven. The staff were incredibly friendly in a city that's not known for being the kindest to English speakers, but they were all very kind. Came in for lunch around 1pm and by 2pm, the place was completely packed. The mussels were sooooo delicious, definitely one of the best mussels I've had! The size you see in my picture is the small size. I can't imagine how big the large is! And for 10 euros? What a great deal. I had the truffle scallop risotto and that was also perfect. They give a lot of scallops too, or at least more than I thought they would. I liked that it wasn't too al dente. My hubbie enjoyed his ravioli. We chose to eat here before our Moulin Rouge show, the walking distance is no more than 8 minutes and oh boy were we stuffed. Portions are very generous (rare to see in Paris), the staff was extremely friendly and spoke Spanish and English. We yelped this restaurant while walking around Montmartre around dinner time. It was a Tuesday - we called and they nicely accommodated us. The place was packed! It's a small restaurant. Food was delicious. We had the burrata salad with vegetables - some olive oil drizzle and a spray of balsamic made it delish! We had the gnocchi in red sauce which was very good. Also had the spicy rigatoni - yum! Husband has the risotto and wasn't a fan. I usually love a good risotto but didn't like his when I tasted it so maybe stay away from that. Daughter and I went for dinner after a long day at Versailles and then walking around Montmartre. We stumbled across the restaurant, saw it had good reviews and went in. It was one of our favorite meals in Paris. I had a delicious red house wine and a nice pasta dish. Daughter had a spaghetti bolognese and it was so good. Tiramisu was also yummy. We were staying in the Montmartre area of Paris during our vacation here and ate at this restaurant TWICE just because it was SO GOOD! It was funny because a friend of mine told me after the fact that he had been there and it is one of his favorite places to eat when he is in Paris, and he lives in San Francisco! Anyhow we were staying in an AirBnB nearby and naturally needed places to eat. This one popped up with my criteria of 4 or more stars so we sought it out the 3rd night we were in Paris. As a starter he first night I had a rocket salad and my partner had this salad with these rice balls that were nearly the size of a tennis ball, and boy were they delicious. For my entree I had my favorite go to linguini with clams which was delicious! My partner had linguini with a mushroom wine sauce with chicken covered in prosciutto, he liked it so much that he had it AGAIN, the second night! The second night I had a delicious Ziti is an asparagus cream sauce and it was covered with dried beef. As is the case with most restaurants in France we were given crusty sliced pieces of baguette to go with our meal. Both nights we were promptly greeted at the door. The first night we were seated right away at a nice table in the cozy main restaurant. The second night we were greeted again with a hearty handshake after I said "Nous sommes retournez!" He remembered us, but we had to be seated across the street in their equally charming annex which had equally excellent service! We ate here on our last night in Paris and we probably would have made time to eat here again had we tried it sooner. Excellent food and excellent service. The owner is probably the friendliest man in Montmartre and made sure we were well taken care of. We visited during the holidays and the restaurant's facade was completely decked out with foliage and lights. It really added something special. The family who owns this restaurant owns a smaller restaurant and an attached pizzeria right across the street. This restaurant is very cramped - do not go if you weigh over 100 pounds otherwise you will not fit between the tables. The food is just okay, not spectacular or terrible. The highlight was the burrata con parma. The cheese was great though the bread could have been much better. We also ordered the fusilli genovese and rigatoni arrabbiata. The rigatoni was better than the fusilli, though not by much. Both tasted like out of the box pasta you can buy in the grocery store. The sauces were lacking flavor. The wait staff was somewhat accommodating, though one was very disappointed when we did not order dessert. Perhaps if the entrees were better, we would have wanted more. There are just not enough stars to describe this experience at this little Italian cafe in Montmartre. Food incredible, service friendly, atmosphere European cafe, prices amazingly affordable. We arrived at opening on a busy Saturday night, lured by Yelp and other reviews. We got the only table not reserved which was by the door. The maitre'd was friendly and spoke English. He was kind even as he turned disappointed patrons away because they were full. The dining room holds about 50 people and the tables are closely arranged. Nightly specials are listed on chalk boards. The dining room is really loud with boisterous guests. Most guests had reservations. I ordered a half bottle of chianti and my husband had a bier. They serve one Italian beer which seemed to be popular. We also shared an arugula salad which was topped with sun roasted tomatoes and large fresh slivers or Parmesan cheese. The arugula was fresh. They provided olive oil and basaltic for dressing. I ordered a Black Forest rigatoni ($13). The large noodles were coated in a lovely creamy mushroom sauce and topped with ultra thin slices of ham. The portion generous. My husband had the board special rigatoni in a creamy red sauce also topped with ham ($14). Equally delicious, fresh, light, flavorful. The best pasta I have ever enjoyed. Our bill was under $50. Just incredible. The maitre'd shook our hands as we left and asked us where we were from. He chatted with us for a while - so friendly. I highly recommend and probably best to get reservations. They close between lunch and dinner so check hours. read more
