Locals suggested we check out the Montmartre neighborhood, and for a change, we decided to try out the Italian food. Every restaurant setup around this neighborhood felt romantic and had a hole-in-the-wall feel to it. Pebble stone streets elevated that effect. We walked-in around eight when the place was packed and were politely told to return in 30 mins which is when we were promptly seating on our very cozy table. Service was top-notch the minute we walked in this kid-friendly place. Our order was Burrata con parma o verdure, Risotto alle capesante, and Linguine Pollo e Funghi. Food arrived within 30-mins of ordering, and noise levels were on the lower end. Excellent small restaurant that's an offshoot of the bigger Ristorante al Caratello right across the street. It's more intimate, but I think has essentially the same menu (and you can also order pizza from Pizza Caratello next door). We came here twice (because it was so close to our hotel, and we enjoyed it so much the first time). I got the Rigatoni Amatriciana the first time, which was cooked to a perfect al dente and tasted great. The second time, I got a Pizza Napoletana, which was also excellent -- really nice crust. For dessert, I got the Flute Limoncello, which was very refreshing, especially given how warm a day it was. Service was very friendly and attentive. I heard a lot of Italian being spoken by staff, so it seemed pretty legit. I would highly recommend this place over the nearby Le Chinon, in terms of food and service. read more

Overall the food was okay. We had asked for pizza since we saw that in the reviews on Yelp but they said that is only available next door but that they would make an exception for us and allow us to order it. The service was friendly and nice. The restaurant was quite cramped which made it uncomfortable to get up to go to the restroom or leave. Amazing little Italian restaurant In Montmartre! Every dish was so flavorful and delicious. Very generous portions and very well priced too! We ordered the burrata with di Parma (small) the piato de mare medium (and it was big) as starters. Then the linguini fruti de mare and gnocchi with Gorgonzola crème's and truffle sauce. Visited Paris in September 2022. I found the restaurant via Yelp. We walked in to a packed restaurant without reservations, but they found us a table for two and treated us like queens. We were dying for salad and veggies and the burrata(which is more like a salad) was amazing. The wine recommendation excellent. The pasta was so flavorful and fresh. Oh my goodness. This place is by far the BEST Italian food we have EVER had! We stayed down the street and noticed that this place was always packed, along with their two other businesses. I would definitely recommend making reservations at this location. We came in for dinner on Christmas Eve and we fell in love. It is small, quaint and intimate and so beautiful inside. Kind of cave like. We ordered a few items to share, the sampler of meats and cheeses, the truffle gnocchi and tiramisu. Everything was to die for. It was so hard to take that last bite of gnocchi. My son and I were lucky to get a table in here on New Year's Eve after trying to get into the bigger Caratello restaurant across the street. Actually the large one was our first choice but it was full... so we had to fall back on the last available table in the small one, where, incidentally, we've been welcomed in a nicer way than across the street. They have a large selection on the menu, and if you're craving for a pasta with a white cream sauce, which is hard to find in Paris, this is the place!! We visited with our hungry 3-year old who was passed his bedtime and where greeted with nothing but friendly smiles. The waitress who spoke excellent English fetched cold milk for him off the menu in a wink. We had nice olives while awaiting our food. Our son was served an almost adult sized portion of the pasta of his choice at a reduced price and we had probably the best seafood pasta ever. Both having travelled quite a bit and lived for periods in Italy, this is for sure a good grade. The amount of fresh seafood was immense, covering the most beautiful linguine in a rich and tasteful tomato sauce. The food, service and atmosphere was all so good that we returned the day after having the exact same course, and just as good second time. All good till one old fart grandma patron gave me a stink eye bc my puppy had his own seat next to her. She was huffing and puffing to the point I've almost lost my appetite. Good thing my dog didn't attack her. This is Paris, France our babies are allowed everywhere. If it was 10 years ago, I might've poke her w my fork. Anyways, the food was amazing and I enjoyed every bite. However it's a hole in a wall Just Luke every place in France. Be prepared to wear lighter clothes in the summer bc the ventilation here is minimal. The service was great.
